This video makes me feel so old. I can't believe that was 30 years ago.

I preferred the old school presentation as compared to the newer, slicker versions of this every year. Plus those Dr Pepper ads!

Happy New Year everyone and thanks for the post. What a difference in 30 years. A marriage then, and being told to drink responsibly by Jenny McCarthy lol.. Times have changed!

Wow, old school Times Square. I visit NY every year for theater trips, and sadly never got to see the "gritty" and old Times Square before it got cleaned up. While I'm sure the improvements were necessary, I'm really not a fan of some of the things there. Such as being harassed by people dressed as Spider-Man or Elmo, wanting to take a picture with you.

I was a senior in high school and had turned 18 a little more than a month before this. Now I'm 48. Unbelievable. I can actually remember seeing this on 12/31/85 - I still distinctly recall him asking that girl a question at 0:25 and being irritated at her not hearing him and saying "What?"

The Dr. Pepper commercials are so silly & glam. There isn;t much art or creativeness in modern commercials.
I really miss the old gum jingles.
"There's a lot of hams down there tonight." what?
