I love watching retro commercials from the 70s 80s and 90s...I just love em all!!!!
they don't make commercials like they used to
@@ladiiblue2u634 They certainly don't
I'm happy to say that I synced this up with my clock...and watched the ball drop from 30 years ago!
Happy New Year Everyone!!
How cool. Dick Clark was awesome. Thanks for this awesome upload. Happy New Year!
This video makes me feel so old. I can't believe that was 30 years ago.
I preferred the old school presentation as compared to the newer, slicker versions of this every year. Plus those Dr Pepper ads!
DanZero77 Dick ruled the New Year! #RIPDickClark!
Happy New Year everyone and thanks for the post. What a difference in 30 years. A marriage then, and being told to drink responsibly by Jenny McCarthy lol.. Times have changed!
R.I.P Dick Clark..NY's Rockin'Eve just isnt the same without you :(
Looked like a good performer line-up on that telecast though..
im young compared to most people commenting but its always intresting to see how things were like way before my time , im 23 but i always am intrested in looking at old commercials for some reason
Wow, old school Times Square. I visit NY every year for theater trips, and sadly never got to see the "gritty" and old Times Square before it got cleaned up. While I'm sure the improvements were necessary, I'm really not a fan of some of the things there. Such as being harassed by people dressed as Spider-Man or Elmo, wanting to take a picture with you.
Happy New Year!
Heh, the cinema in Time Square was playing Spies Like Us, haven't seen that film for years.
Happy New Year man, keep those commercials coming.
Sam Donaldson's face terrified me growing up. lol. I think it was the eyebrows.
+Kayla Poludniak Imagine if he didn't have that rug on!
i might have to watch this tonight before midnight hehe
+thrasher6499 I did and was flipping back and forth to the current and the 1986 version. Wow what a difference.
It will never be the same without Dick Clark....😔
This New Years show is way better than the atrocity that is on now.
+Sobernic1982 Amen. I miss him.
it never was the same without Dick Clark
I was a senior in high school and had turned 18 a little more than a month before this. Now I'm 48. Unbelievable. I can actually remember seeing this on 12/31/85 - I still distinctly recall him asking that girl a question at 0:25 and being irritated at her not hearing him and saying "What?"
10:00 Ex-ter-mi-nate! Ex-ter-mi-nate the dif-fer-ent ones!
I was 11 in 1986...man I feel old.
I'm 36 myself yikes
Late to the party again. Happy New Year everyone! I was going to post it after my other post last night but I fell asleep. Getting older and can't keep up like I used to, lol.
I wonder if that couple is still married now? They'd have just celebrated their 30th anniversary if so.
feverspell, according to this book they were still going strong in 2008: books.google.com/books?id=4aTXcSLozQYC&pg=PA102&lpg=PA102&dq=wayne+chew+married+at+times+square&source=bl&ots=UGqeLvknrf&sig=ACfU3U2jrYIAqRYgY7i-YkjavNRx2nciBA&hl=en&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiL75eJvp3mAhWIl-AKHYs3ASIQ6AEwAHoECAkQAQ#v=onepage&q=wayne%20chew%20married%20at%20times%20square&f=false
no wonder I love Dr. Pepper
The Dr. Pepper commercials are so silly & glam. There isn;t much art or creativeness in modern commercials.
I really miss the old gum jingles.
"There's a lot of hams down there tonight." what?

I wonder if Mr. and Mrs Wayne Chew are still together?
3:13 - Looks like he's holding the can upside-down. Guess they ran out of budget to do another take?
hollywood portion pre recorded lol
Sam Donaldson: Rug or Comb-over?
+Jason X Rug. A pretty obvious one, at that.
I miss Dick Clark...
me too
Wonder if those people are still married
