The main reason to why I have bacome a loyal Samsung user is because of how fun it is to learn and discover while using it. I love innovativeness and animations which Samsung is a lot about. Iphone is more stripped down (simpler) in it's software design & menus. Yet not as convenient and effective to navigate around and multi-task. Personal opinion. Everyone seems pretty much same minded while Apple go their own ways and mainly like only connects with their own products. The most annoying thing for me if was an Apple user would be the fact that while all other brands pretty much can charge with eachothers cables, iPhone is iPhone connector only so you like need to have it with you always just in case or hope that someone else who have iPhone have one.

One S model to the next is like an entirely different brand, I ensure you as a person who has used every Galaxy S since the S3 (not mine, but say, a person who's very close so that I got to use each phone over the course of 1-2 years at least). Just ordered my S8+ a few hours ago. ^-^
Best wishes to you, I'm pretty sure that you'll absolutely love the phone. Adapting to Android coming from iOS may or may not be difficult, elseway there's nothing that's even subjectively worse on the S8.
