I remember when this came out. It was considered "soft rock" or "easy listening". I still love it.
Yes this was soft rock player at the doctor’s office I worked. They always played a soft rock radio station from the moment we came in and left. I believe I heard this song 2 million times. Was so done with it. But now it sounds ok again. Only had to give myself 40 ish years!! 😝
Yessss 👍
@@deborahtaylor3617 That happened to me with George Strait 'Amarillo By Morning' working at Pep Boys. Hated that f'n song. Fast forward 40+ years and the song ain't so bad.
Great reaction. Never thought of Firefall as country. I know this was a big pop hit in 77. Check out the songs "Strange Way" and "You Are The Woman". Thanks and God Bless
Agree, not country. It was played on rock radio.
@wyomarine All good bands. As a kid, we either listened to country or rock stations. My mother was a DJ in Atlanta but I never broke down bands that far, so thank you for your take.
@@oldschool4382 I spent a lot of time in Jax., the music scene there is great. I have very close family there. I once went to this hole in the wall place, don't remember the name. It was open mic. night and a friend of my cousin's wanted to sit in and play guitar with the house band. A big bus pulls into the parking lot and it is Artimus Pyle coming in to sit in on drums. While the band was playing an artist was painting a picture. No one could make out what he was painting. When he had finished he rotated the pic 180 degrees and it was a painting of Jerry Garcia. The guy paints upside down. Growing up listening to all kinds of music I never once, while listening to a song, stopped to ponder what genre I was listening to. It was always about the music and how it made me feel. I watch these reactors constantly struggling with where to put what song in what genre and it makes me laugh. Either you like the song or you don't. Two genres.
@wyomarine6341yes I went to that concert. New Orleans baby. They opened for country bands but they were pop.
I wish I had a dollar for every tear I cried to this song. Young Love😭
It'll be alright...❤
This song was released in 1977. Check out Strange Way, has a nice section with flute.
1977 was a great year for music…….time machine please.
Being an older coot I sure do miss the 70's. I was 15 when this song came out in 1977.
"Strange Way" would have been a good choice, too.
If I may, if you haven't heard it, I'd likewise recommend "Moonlight Feels Right" by Starbuck as a sweet "yacht rock" tune.
*POCO* - _Crazy Love_ - one of the best songs of the era
AWW, Haven't heard this song in forever!!! It's funny how quickly you can be transported back in time just by hearing a song!! Love the reaction!
70's soft rock....
Firefall had lots of great tunes, this one in particular features guitar and tenor sax playing the solo in harmony. Just incredible feel and dynamics.
Wife here..Very Smooth..Yes.., Steel Guitar..It definitely has a pop Country/Rock sound!!...Sax..Yeesss...Loved This Song since a small child..Great Review..!!!
Firefall is an American country rock band from the 70's-80's. I had some of their albums. The band's biggest hit was "You Are The Woman". Other hits included Strange Way”, "Cinderella" "Headed For A Fall" & "Staying With It".
this was such a sweet song! i loved being a teenager in the late 70s and early 80s! we had so much good music! and that is one thing!
Agree!
The guy who sang this, played guitar with Dave Mason a few years ago and they played this. Everyone sang along. It’s just one of those songs….even for us classic rockers.
Actually the guy who played with Dave Mason is John Sambataro, I saw him with Dave Mason on Kauai probably 4 years ago (great small venue concert). There's a youtube video from a PBS special floating around. The lead singer for this version, and a lot of their other songs, is Rick Roberts, pretty sure since he wrote it.
@@billkant849 their voices are so similar.
I knew this song but never knew who it was by. Now I do, thanks. A classic.
This song got me through a ridiculously hard time in 1997.
You are both captivated!! 🤩 You
I love Firefall!!
Another great song from my childhood in the summer of 1977.
I graduated in 1977! Still a great memory for me!!!!
not 2005 ,thats when it was uploaded to source, this was released in 1977 on the Luna Sea album, great album throughout.
Fireball is a great rock / soft rock band with an excellent music catalog. ‘Just Remember I Love You’ was released in 1977. Firewall began releasing music in the 1970s and continue through today.
I loved this song. I haven't heard it for a very long time. Thanks guys!
What a beautiful song with great memories for me. The first time I really fell in love, funny how I got the fuzzy feelings right now. I later married that man had two kids but then got divorced. But are really good friends now... :)
Another one of those bands and songs that made the 70’s a great time to be a teenager
Soft rock of the 70’s was the best 😎
What a vibe, I was hooked on these classics at 8 years young.
Great reaction guys. it was released as a single on July 21, 1977 by Fire Fall. I looked it up but I lived it as well :) meaning I was there as it aired on the radio. Keep up the great reactions
Firefall was a great band from Boulder Colorado and was considered country rock blues. No matter how they were classified they had a great sound and had quite a few hits. I think YOU ARE THE WOMAN was their biggest hit but my favorites were STRANGE WAY, MEXICO, HEADED FOR A FALL and of course this gem JUST REMEMBER I LOVE YOU.
"You are the Woman" is the cut by Firefall.....
I'm not sure how to say this without failing somehow socially. I have subbed to your channel for a long time because you both share my love for all music no matter who is playing it. Your enthusiasm for such a wide variety of artists is a beautiful tribute to great musicians from all walks of life. So, OK, I'm 70, white, male, Texas born and bred, a drummer for over 50 years and a music lover like y'all. I've played with some of the best and I love all the rest. I'm commenting here but it's not the first time I've enjoyed sharing a song with you folks. I'm so happy you're doing well with your RUclips stream! Wishing you much love and success in the future!
I always liked this song. They have 2 other songs I remember called "You Are The Woman" and "Strange Way" I consider them soft rock.
One of my faves! Such a groove!
agree.. another from that time that was a "one hit wonder" was "hold on" by ian gomm
@@tomschmitz261 I love that song...actually had the album.
This came out in 1977! Excellent song 💕
I've seen them live a long time ago and they are all such great musicians!
I remember when it came out too.. loved the music when I was a kid.. 😎
Did he say 2005? It was 1977
This song is good, but Strange Way is a great "forgotten" song IMO.
Last night I had this on repeat on my phone when I went to sleep. Thx.
I get you on this one Asia. To me it always seemed Firefall was two guys from Texas, two guys from Mexico that moved to the Caribbean and started a band. Their song "You Are The Woman" will back me up on stupid analogy.
Representing my home state of Colorado.
Cinderella is another good song of theirs.
Strange Way and Cinderella are great Firefall songs. Headed for a Fall is their BANGER.
Firefall was one of the best bands of the seventies. You won't be disappointed by any of their tracks. Try their tune, Cinderella.....Their music would be classified as country rock, even though the band formed in Colorado...
Can't beat the 70's
This song brings back so many great memories!!!! Thank you!!!!
Yacht rock. Great song
Old school! And yes Asia, it does feel "islandy". Beach walking with your honey!
We had the best songs to make memories to in the 70’s. So grateful I was in high school and college during these years
Firefall is one of the few bands that utilize a flute in some of their songs - Marshall Tucker, Jethro Tull and early Heart did as well.
This is straight contemporary pop or soft rock or old people music is what we called it...think Barry Manilow. (Altho I did have this on cassette).
One of my faves. Can listen to it on repeat for hours.
Yes islandy.
Well these guys were never really country, more on the pop side.
But I think they are southerners, that's why you can hear the country flavor.
Great band, and my favorite song of theirs.
Glad you guys enjoy and appreciate it.
A folk-country-rock fusion.
Y’all should react to some Atlanta Rhythm Section. So Into You, Imaginary Lover and Homesick are some of their best songs.
Precious Sing .. Firefall was wonderful song if my teen years!!
This was always one of my favorite songs when I was a kid, still love it..
Been watching you guys for a couple years now, but heard this song and I been hearing it since the times were more simple
We all know it'll be alright.....
Perfect .. Firefall was the most wonderful beautiful group!! They went in to other groups!!❤😂😂
FireFall, another great band, from the 70's. Check out, Cinderella, it's another great song by them. Great job guys.
They're still touring and are amazing!
A lot of people associate them with "soft rock". I remember them as starting the set with "It doesn't matter" and ending the night with "Mexico". Neither of which is particularly "soft".
This is Soft Rock..
The 70's put of some beautiful Soft Rock music.
Such a beautiful love song. The 70's had so many. They have some great hits. Strange way, your the only woman, and how much you feel.
I always considered them classic rock.
I Luv how her face says everything.....
Women Need this , Men hide that they want it, but when it's in ur ears, it's feels soooo riiight.
I thnk of Jesus when I hear this song.. I know no one will like that but I am not ashamed.
Another band from The Centennial State! Have a look at "Headed For A Fall". A bit harder tune compared to this one. Also look at "Mexico". They're considered a Rock band, not Country.
👍🙂
Rick Roberts singing . Michael Clarke, ex-byrd drummer. Rick and Michael were also in the Flying Burrito Brothers together.
damn...haven't heard this in forever. 77 was between my freshman and sophomore year in HS.
"Just Remember I Love You" is one of the most beautiful "pop" songs of the late 70's. The meaning of the lyrics can be applied in several different ways. Wish you guys would have given it a closer look,
Saw these guys open for Marshall Tucker. Many of their songs are heavier on the sax. Their debut album was excellent!
You guys are 💕 loves and lovely!! 😂❤❤ I’m 63 and this is a beautiful song to make a person cry!!😢😂😂❤❤
Yacht Rock, sift Rick … love the message of this song!
Firewall falls into the category of Yacht Rock.
Strange way to tell me you love me, one of 70's great songs.
There is a live version of HOLDING ON TO YESTERDAY by Ambrosia you listen to. It is the band stretching it's muscles over a song to make it better than the single or album recording. You will really like it. Enjoy.
Love this song!
Cant believe your fans found Firefall for you, yet the best track is Mexico. It will stick with you for a life time. That's how good it is. MEXICO - by FIREFALL
Loves the 70's
1978 bro!
1977, pop.
This song came out in 1977 not 2005. This is a great timeless song.
Strange Way, You Are The Woman, a couple other great tunes by them.
That song is from the 70's and its not country. Firefall was part of the singer songwriter trend in the 70's that was making folk infused soft rock. Also Stephen Stills from Crosby, Still, and Nash helped produce this album, and you can hear his influence.
I remember this song came on the radio the day my mom passed away 😭
This song has a special meaning to me. After my mother in law passed 20 years ago this song came on constantly on the radio. It was already an old song. I had so many signs from her that she was around I finally made a list of unexplainable occurrences. I got to 50. But there were more. This lady was one of my best friends and so important to me. Her son and I divorced 11 years later. He was a total dick I realized. Hahahaha Actually much worse than that.
But I will always love her so much.
Check out Living Ain't Living, Cinderella, Strange Way, and Goodbye I Love You by Firefall.
They are Colorado we have f town festival every year and they headline every year I have seen them at least 40 times
That song came out in 1977
This is from 1977. 🤣
Firefall has another one called Strange Way.
Definitely pedal steel guitar! I was a teen when this came out!
That’s soft rock.
I would say easy rock. Kind of like the group America
Yep, that is how I would label it.
This is not a Country song. It's easy listening that has a little blues but it's definitely Rock. This is what 1970 to 1976 had all over the place.
post-disco soft rock. 1977
Asia was right... it sounds like jazz country.
its southern rock -soft rock
Wow….forgot about this song!😘
Takes me way back. That album got worn out.
Have a great day!
hey guys, the song actually was from the late seventy's not 2005. don't take my word for it. Double check my claim. 1977
Yeah, not really country. Just soft rock. I can’t hear steel guitar anywhere in that entire song, but the lyrics are so beautiful as the melody.
Str8 dOpe 🎉
