Fair enough however as someone who lost a piece from Brass Birmingham and had a replacement sent to me by Roxley free of charge I would hold tight as the response took a long time but did come through...how long ago did you email? Please update if they do get in touch as at the moment there are other things on people's minds... Agree with your points though some of the issues should not be present in a premium product.
Thanks Mike! I'm glad we were able to help you out with that. It sounds like there may have been some technical issue with John's request; my record shows we answered him four business days ago, but perhaps it didn't get through, or he may have assumed based on my coworker's language that we'd follow up further faster than this.
I can clear up the timeline here. The package arrived on April 30, I opened it on May 1. When I saw the crushed corner and looked closer at the packaging I went and checked the Kickstarter comment section to see if anyone else had a problem with this. On the rare occasion I sometimes am the only unlucky one, and I write it off to just that. The comments section indicated this was not the case, multiple backers had brought it up and a company representative was active in the comments section directing people where they should send their damage reports. I followed this on May 1 and sent an email to the indicated address and attached several photos of the issues. I didn't demand anything, just a hey this is what arrived, it's not good. I clearly stated, "if" you are providing replacements, here's my address. I started filming the set later that evening (May 1) in preparation to talk about how pretty it was, because it is. We sat down to film something else (Hero Realms) on the evening of May 6, and the Iron Clays box was sitting off in the wings from filming previously. Prior to getting into playing a game I put the box on the table and my co-host asked what it was, and I said wait till we start rolling and we'll talk about it. Wrapped for the night and transferred the files for editing. Edited most of the piece the following morning, May 7. Later in the afternoon, timestamped at 3:39 PM on May 7, I received the email referenced by the Paul above. He is correct, the language used "We will be reaching out to you within the week with a resolution," indicated an expedited resolution...of something. But other than that line, everything else in the email was boilerplate 'Thanks, we got your email,' stuff. So I sat on the video. The key phrase is it indicated "the" week, not "a" week, which means to me the current week. For good measure I still waited until the following week, and there will still several days left on their current Kickstarter which I didn't want to interfere with. Not that our videos get a lot of views to begin with, but I never know with RUclips's algorithms. Into the following week, and once the 48 hour mark passed in their current endeavor, I started the upload of the video in its current state, and marked it public on May 13, still not having had a response other than a thank you for an email. Had there been one maybe we would have gone back and added some lines of dialogue, hard to say without the information. I intentionally front-loaded the positives, my retention graphs (and comments) indicate most viewers do not make it to the end of the videos. Like I said, they're pretty, but they've got issues, especially for a premium product.
Hi John, thank you supporting and evaluating the Iron Clays; Roxley considers it very important that media, reviewers, etc. are always completely honest about their opinions, so we appreciate how genuine you are with your followers. I looked up your message to see if you were somehow missed, as we have in fact been behind on emails since the launch of Steampunk Rally Fusion... but I see my coworker did in fact message you back, six days prior to the publication of this video. Did you get that message? Regardless, we are following up further with Iron Clays customers now that the Kickstarter is nearly finished; I'll DM you shortly to help resolve the issues you raised. We have no interest in ignoring you or any other customer! We're sorry if we disappointed you this time. Keep up the good work though; I'll come back and check out some of your other videos when I have a moment to breathe!
For anyone still following along at home, nothing has ever been done about this. 100 days later, no further communication was ever received from Roxley Games after May 14, 2020. Comments to the contrary here appear to be more damage control rather than a genuine attempt at customer service.
@@ObsessiveGamer, I'm happy to follow up further. I apologize if somehow a ball got dropped here; I don't claim to be perfect! I've sent two waves of replacements to customers since this time; you *should* have heard something from our fulfillment service a long time ago. I'll be happy to check into this when I'm back at my computer to see what happened. I don't remember seeing any further communication from you either, have you messaged us again since May?
@@paulsaxberg6399 I was unaware of any additional information you needed from me from our last follow-up. Could you clarify what additional communication it was that you were waiting on?
@@ObsessiveGamer I mean, you should have had the replacement long ago; this is my first notification that it didn't arrive as planned, I thought I had resolved this for you. I'm going to email you now to confirm some details.
@@ObsessiveGamer what was the resolution with this? I’m considering adding a chest with card decks to my Radlands PM. This is making me weary of doing so. 😳
I'm actually happy to not have taken the wooden box seeing this. The cardboard one arrived in perfect condition, with 2 separate plastic container for each half of the clays. So I can put half of them on one side of the table, and the other half on the other side. And it's really good.
Such a cool couple, strangely relaxing video to watch even though the reviewer is visibly unhappy! Will subscribe because I love this couple, but still at a loss for some good looking gaming chips 🤷🏻♂️
the chips are too light and don't feel premium, they are not clay but mainly plastic, there are so many better options out there, don't bother with the iron clays
If you could recommend something, I'd be excited to hear it. I can't find any chips that don't look horrifically ugly. (E.g. hot pink or bright green, with garish stripes along the sides) , in denominations that actual boardgamers would want (1, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100)
@@Terrafire123 Did anyone ever recommend anything to you? I was looking for something as well, and I'm seeing several of these messages that the Iron Clays look great but don't feel great.
@@Terrafire123 Hmm I have found ceramic pokerchips that at least don't seem to have (much) writing on them. They're called the Bank poker chips and Kings & Queens poker chips. Sometimes referred to as board game chips. But they are 'only' 10g. So about the weight of these Iron Clays. And the bank ones have no writing it seems but are brightly colored with stripes. And the kings & queens do have some writing but are more muted.

Mike Butler he said they just received the package that day, so I’m guessing he emailed less than 24 hours.
Correct, I listened again. He said “we just got them”, and “they just arrived”. He didn’t say “today”. So don’t know how long.

Thanks for the clarifications, John! If you haven't already found it, there should be an email in your inbox now.
Never even reviewed the cards or the chips themselves. Just the box. Could you guys please also review the cards and chips?

Agreed. I tried them out, the weight is about 11g, not 14g chips. Chips look durable but don’t feel “heavy”
