That was one of the most enjoyable podcast I have ever listened to. Jimmie please don’t go anywhere. America needs you. Your humor has saved us over the last several years. Thank you!
Absolutely brilliant interview/chat, love'd it. I watch Jimmy daily and find him and his humour completely infectious. I also share his moral value and equally despise the lies that our nemesis tiny fingers poses to society at large. Great show and a great post, thank you very much.
I love how down to earth Jimmy Kimmel still appears on platforms like this. One of the best earning Entertainers in USA, fearless and smart. A true American! 👏👏👏
I love Tom Papa-how did I not find this show sooner? Such a great voice and he always seems naturally warm and naturally hilarious. This episode was a real treat. Incidentally I was in my kitchen reorganizing spices into new containers while listening, and it really felt as though 2 friends were sitting on barstools chatting while I worked.
I spent one Thanksgiving with a college buddy and his large Italian family on the south side of Chicago one year. The spread was incredible...not only an entire turkey dinner with all the traditional trimmings, but also an incredible layout of Italialian sides and desserts. All kinds of cheeses, salami, antipasti, pasta, sausages, artichokes, etc. What a feast.
Listening to these guys are making me hungry ❤. Having a husband that cooks is better than anything. My husband did all the shopping and cooking. I Miss him terribly. The Jimmy Kimmel show is the best I hate when he leaves the show. ❤❤
When my daughter first met her boyfriends Italian aunt for Sunday dinner at her home, she had the antipasto, two kinds of pasta dishes, Italian cookies, cannolis, my daughter came home and said " mom I've found my people!"
One of my first jobs was a small company run by an Italian family... the skit from Ray Romano is not wrong... No matter how much you eat the mother will tell you you haven't eaten enough. And I was skinny at the time so she felt it was her mission to put some weight on me.
We do 7 fishes on Christmas eve, too. The greatest joy is figuring out 7 fish products people will eat. Wu do Caesar salad ( anchovies), lobster bisque and/or clam chowder, shrimp cocktail, one big fish, fried scallops and lots with cream cheese on bagel chips. Then fill out the table with classic veggies and pastas. My husband wants tuna casserole this year.
Tom, I'm so overjoyed to hear you, as a comedian, using a level head with nation and world views. So many of your peers, for some odd reason, have forgotten from where they came. Great episode with my favorite JK. Such a great dialog. Btw...saw you open for Jerry in TX and you were great! Keep on baking, Tom....keep on baking.
All of those Italian touches on your set, like the garlic, hanging chili peppers, panettone, and Chianti bottle. Not to mention, the pictures of Pavarotti and Sinatra make me feel at home and nostalgic! Here's a kiss for you both on each cheek. 😘
I'd give anything to see Aunt Chippy lighting ✨️ a cigarette 🚬 and watching it explode in her face. "I knew it. I knew it. I knew it - that little a.....e! He ruined the whole night! You must show that! I die seeing people lose it too. I love the clips you have of her. The best, hysterical 🤣
I’m a Jewish guy, but I love escarole and beans. Used to make it myself back in the day. My son‘s mom had the Italian friends that used to have us over around Christmas for the seven fishes. I love the seven fishes. Once she stopped, wanting anything to do with me,after our son was born, long story, I lost out on the seven fishes. I need to make some new Italian friends.
😂So I like podcasts like yours, comedians, musicians, actors, etc. for winding down. The anecdotes... I like to cook,so now I'm drooling and laughing and planning new ways(and old)to EAT.✌️👍🔅🔆.THANX.
That was an hour and quarter well spent. I've learned so much about italian cooking and tradition.....fish for Christmas? here in Québec I always wake up Christmas morning with the whole appartment smelling delicious turkey that I cooked all night.
It's a Vegas thing, the Gluttony thing. Because we have everything we want whenever we want as much as we want. We have to be in control of ourselves. Our town is not for the weak. I am a native Las Vegan and have seen many people fail here. I myself have difficulty with buying too much. I've never been a gambler. My weakness is shopping and eating. I love your show. I love honesty, and am so proud of your Las Vegas roots Jimmy Kimmel.
Loved it. Just an fyi, Opossums are not aggressive, nor destructive and low carriers of rabies compared to skunks and raccoons. Also they eat grubs so actually are good to have around your yard. The teeth are all for show.
Teeth are for self defense as well, but you are correct: non-aggressive unless attacked. We have one who comes to our house/yard - it's a real sweetie,
When I was in college, my friends and I made corner store Feast of 7 Fishes, can clams, tuna, anchovies, smoked oysters, smoked salmon, frozen cooked shrimp, and fish sticks. Linguini with clams, tuna salad, anchovy bruschetta, smoked oysters on crackers, smoked salmon and cream cheese on cucumber rounds, shrimp and cocktail sauce, fish sticks with tartar sauce.
Jimmy, Tom, pro tip. The flame on your stove turns off. Turn off your flame for the short time you have the pan tilted to pool the oil. Then turn it back on. It's like turning off a car when you full it up with gas
Love both of you! Irish girl here in Columbus OH married to an Italian (originally from Brooklyn). --- oh the food stories we have from many many Italian markets, Christmas eves in Brooklyn etc. Our first Thanksgiving together I told him give me a very specific list of meats I was to get for the antipast (vowel purposely omitted) my number gets called, Butcher asked me one question about the type of Pro zhoo Toe (as I say) and type of slice and I completely crumbled. I was practically pummeled by a mob of 100 yr old women that i towered over (im 5’5). 25 yrs later and I have real slick process now!! I watch the chaos from the sidelines then make my move - Avenue U has nothing on me on Christmas Eve 😂
Only 14 minutes of eating? Not this guy. Between the seven fishes, and the other appetizers and side dishes, I’m sure I was eating for at least 45 minutes. Savoring everything. Enjoying everything. Oh! And my contribution was I used to bake little miniature Cheesecake presents. Well I baked a cheesecake like a sheet, cut it up into small squares and individually decorated each of them so they either looked like a gift or had a Christmas tree or a wreath or some other holiday decoration on them. They were always a big hit after the main meal.
I have always known that if you get up from the table at the end of the meal and do dishes. I learned that if you are doing dishes everyone loves the fact someone is claning up and you are left alone from those who are mostly drunk and will only get drunker. I have saved my liver and gotten invited back to parties of people I really don't know because I am happy to hel the clean up
My condolences, Jimmy. Finally - someone else who *has* to drive due to car sickness caused by the stop-go jolting action!! Now, a hint for "car sickness prevention": Take Bonine, with a beer, about an hour before boarding/driving. (The bonine is non-drowsy, and although I dont like beer, this has been good for helping me with sickness prevention).
Jimmy! I have the same thing with motion sickness! Buy non- drowsy Dramamine. It works when I'm not the driver and on all transportation. I have a bottle in every purse, backpack and camera bag.
St.Joseph pasta is the traditional pasta sauce Pasta con Sardi…with currents or raisins, strange flavors but it grows on you, maybe.hahaha it’s only served in the spring when and after the spring and use wild fennel. It’s the pasta sauce for St Joseph’s Day.Zeppo is eaten for dessert!
Guidoo - Many of us "single seniors" are right there with you - we have no one for whom to cook and no one with whom to eat the feast if we do cook it.
The baccala either has to be really really rid of salt in bucket of slow running water otherwise just buy cod and don't use the fishy tomato sauce use tomato sauce which hasent had a fish boiled in it I promise this works
You guys would be amazed with how similar aunt Chippy and my Irish aunt are. There's a whole generation of unwed boomer generation women who you'd swear are Marge Simpson's sisters in real life, and since they weren't defined by getting married & having kids, they always ended up quirky & hilariously unapologetic about stuff you'd only get away with if you were a man of that generation. If you had to track them down, they're likely in the hospital lobby, talking to someone for 20hrs + about all the illnesses their friends have & whose funerals you've been to this month.
Please don’t joke about drowning opposums. 🙂 They are such great creatures. Very mild, they just sound fierce. And they eat a lot of ticks! Great interview though.
That was one of the most enjoyable podcast I have ever listened to. Jimmie please don’t go anywhere. America needs you. Your humor has saved us over the last several years. Thank you!

This interview was a breath of fresh air, I could spend 2 days hearing Jimmy and Tom just food talking 🫰🏼💖
Yes, absolutely great 😅
Jimmy is the BEST late night host! His monologues are the funniest of all!!!!❤❤❤

Jimmy Kimmel is awesome. Great American
no nation - no border....think abou it .....
Love Jimmy Kimmel! ❤ Don't ever go away!
This is so cute hanging out with friend(s) and talking about everything and nothing. Laughing and talking is fantastic.
Isn't it the truth - friends talk about everything and nothing. Oh, how accurate that phrase is! It brings such B-I-G grins! 😁

What a great real conversation
I love both of these guys. They’re so funny. So bright. . I love their lives; thst they’re into their families.
Great conversation. Jimmy is a genuinely good guy
This was absolutely the very best conversation. 😊
Listening to these guys are making me hungry ❤. Having a husband that cooks is better than anything. My husband did all the shopping and cooking. I Miss him terribly. The Jimmy Kimmel show is the best I hate when he leaves the show. ❤❤
I have watched this so many times in the past 24 hours. Unbelievably talented Ms Keough ❤
...and were you writing down the foods they mentioned and trying to figure out the recioes? Hahaha!😅 (Me, too.)
Love to hear these two guys cook and love Italian food.
Never watched this before. The thumbnail with the red/white checked tablecloth drew me in. Great show! ❤️ Best conversation.
Really great interview!
TYSM for giving us a seat at the table.
Kimmel’s writers are the best and the delivery is superb ❤
Great interview! I enjoyed your conversations about cooking
EXCELLENT show! You guys have kept me relatively sane the last several years through laughter & I can't tell you how much I appreciate both of you. 🤗
What a great conversation!

Love hearing you talk about all the food for Christmas Eve. So funny. Cracked me up!!!!!!😂
I love to hear Italians talk about food.
Who doesn't love people who can cook...and cook well
We do 7 fishes on Christmas eve, too. The greatest joy is figuring out 7 fish products people will eat. Lox is a favorite *any* time of the year. It's expensive, but so very YUMmmmy!
Best, delectable food conversation ever!!
nice interview. Jimmy is very real.
Jimmy is hands down my favorite American!
This is great.
Tom, you are a good interviewer. NIce to know the people... but that is this idea. Enjoy Jimmy. Cheers
Great interview. Jimmy loves his Country!!!!
Jimmy Kimmel is my favorite nighttime host. I love how he calls Trump out!! Keep doing it💙💙💙💙💙💙
Jimmy Kimmel is one of the best.
Absolutely my vote for video of the month, after the episode of JKL! last week which included Molly’s appearance. Priceless. Thank you. ❤
Thanks For Sharing 😊 Luv From Canada 🇨🇦, A Breath of Fresh Air ❤
Love from an Italian Canadian ❤️🇨🇦

Jimmy Kimmel is the best talk show on tv, hands down. And there are many who are good at this. But he's the GOAT, imo.
You should check his ratings, hahaha

We make baked stuffed calamari 🤤, raie , cod, fried smelts, scampi, shrimp and scallops
Are y’all not gonna eat that BREAD??? Getting to 3/4 through. Lol
Omg Trump ** is a psychopath who’s losing his mind to dementia!!!
Breaking the bread is aspirational. Left for the guest at a time of their choosing.
