I feel for anyone who lost their home. Homes are so expensive, Yet our country has NO SYSTEM if people lose their homes. 2 things can be true at once, 1-It was an extreme weather event. 2-The city UTTERLY FAILED to prepare their systems. Fire is the #1 threat there so It makes no sense how Los Angeles didn't utilize their resources in a better way to prepare them to fight fires.. The city has to prepare for stuff like this. I Hope we will see them build extensive water pumping systems from the ocean. They could Install water spraying systems onto the individual houses. They could install remote controlled valves so they could control the water pressure. They need to build systems that redirect & collect any rain water that they receive, rather than dumping it back out into the ocean. We need to adapt our systems so they work cohesively with our ecosystem. We should build Desalination plants & We definitely should bring the Beaver's back.
Honestly, how are people supposed to recover from a Disaster such as this? We are seeing insurance companies fail us, we are seeing our government fail us. Most people are struggling to afford basic living. Our country is completely unable to handle this kind of stuff. Our country is failing these people. How does our country expect people to rebuild a second house when affording the first house was already a life long achievement.. How can our country keep functioning like this? Our country is in complete denial about the impacts of these disasters. How will our systems continue to function? We have to adapt. We have to.

Why should you believe... that the donations really go to those affected
Too many people are now demanding donations... What can you believe

Thank you for making this make sense.... you have done a better job than news networks. Can I ask... do you know if it is true that insurance for fire damage was removed prior to these fires?

Just trying to do my part. Yes in some cases, in certain “high risk” areas (closer to the mountains and vegetation) fire coverage was removed from policies last year

A lot of trees are naturally fire resistant.

Because they are still fighting the fires and the mayor cut their funding by millions of dollars

Fire fighters didnt run out of water apparently they were overwhelmed and what went from offensive containment quickly changed to playing defence and survival. Also i dont think alot propke realise 49% of the fire fighters work for privately owned companies hence the use of felins which is common practise.....Source - Hasan Abi -

Your timeline of the Palisades fire is grossly misleading. Because of the strong winds, almost from the start burning embers were being carried into built up areas, quickly igniting numerous spot fires in structures and vegetation. You would know this if you had talked to any of the initial firefighters or watched any videos taken by fools who intentionally drove into the fire area right after the fire started. The point is that the there was a Palisades Fire only very briefly. After that there was a rapidly increasing number of fires in the Palisades, each being fanned by the roaring winds and each producing showers of embers. Bottom line, the situation was hopeless from the get go. As for the water situation, the water mains were simply not designed to handle a situation of that magnitude. As a little experiment you can do at home, turn on your garden hose. That represents the water supply to the Palisades. Now start punching holes in the hose. That represents fire hydrants being opened. How many holes can you punch before losing almost all pressure?

Mismanagement on a gargabtuan scale. The governor and the mayor should at least resign out of respect for those who lost their lives and those who lost their homes.

@@AlexanderAyling The parallels between that mayor and Australia's PM Scott Morrison in 2020 are interesting. Morrison went on holiday to Hawaii while Australia burned... When heavily criticised for not returning earlier, he responded, "I don't hold a hose, mate". The people finished him off at the next federal election.
