    Awesome video! I'm getting ready to start pouring some lead myself. I grabbed the Do-It Hover Rig mold and the ball head jig mold. Next I think I'm going to grab the tear drop sinker mold so I can make some free frig weights for the Delta.

    Right on 3:51 Brother .Great tips as always. I just purchased the hover mold and I was thinking of a way to modify it into a tush rig, any ideas?
    Keep up the great work.

    • @N2TW_customlures
      @N2TW_customlures  6 дней назад

      It’s definitely doable. You would have to take your favorite 60 degree hook and lay it in the mold to see where the hook eye would lay. Then grind an entire new slot for the 60 degree hook eye. Then either block off the 90 degree hook slot with rtv or just pour the mold and clip off the lead that fills in the original hook eye slot. Hopefully that makes sense lol

    Looking to add jig molds to my bait making garage studio. I will be watching this video over and over. In your opinion what is the best multi species jig mold? I am thinking that Freestyle would be a good one to start with. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks for sharing that information on jig molds and mods.

    • @N2TW_customlures
      @N2TW_customlures  6 дней назад

      Ya I would also agree on the freestyle head for multi species. They have more than 1 freestyle mold as well. The smaller one is perfect for panfish and smaller species but has enough size options that it can also double for bass jig heads as well

    Great job. I enjoy your videos immensely and have learned a TON from them.
    Quick question: is there such a thing as a published cross-reference of hooks (manufacturers, styles, etc.) available? I see some molds with only one hook style listed, some with multiple hook styles listed, and some with things like "use any wide gap hook" or the like. I have found in buying hooks that there are MULTIPLE manufacturer's hooks that will work with any given jig, but I can't find a ready reference that shows ALL of the manufacturer's hooks that will work for any given mold.
    For example, I found through much trial and error that there are multiple hooks that will work for the HHU-6-SA (Herring Head Underspin) mold, but only three are listed on the page I used (I think it's from Lure Parts Online): Eagle Claw L3052, Eagle Claw 570/575, and Mustad 32746 in the sizes on that particular mold. While looking for hooks, I found another page that shows the following hooks will work in the place of Eagle Claw 570/575 hooks: Victory 11149, VMC 9147, Gamakatsu 114, and Owner 5318. The first thought that came to my mind is "why aren't ALL of these hook options listed on the sites that sell this mold? And why are ALL the hooks that will fit on any given mold listed on any site that sells that mold?" All of this leads me back to the original question: had anyone created a cross-reference of all the hooks that will work on any given Do-It mold?
    Again, love your page and your work...and thank you for your service. Congrats on the new home, new workspace, and new career.

      I completely understand what you mean on a master hook reference catalog. As far as I know there is not one. The Barlows hook recommendations as well as other sites are the only thing we have that I’m aware of. Since each company doesn’t carry every brand and every style of hook it’s hard to get a master catalog. Someone would have to buy every hook and every mold possible and run through a test to get those answers. It would be awesome if someone had the time and money to create one tho lol. And thank you for supporting the channel 🤙
