@@kenglassner8911 I used a size 2 washer which I think is 1/4” and a 7/32” bead. The propellers were size 3 or .89”

I use 6oz injectors from Basstackle

I generally pick the weight of the head based on how deep I’m trying to fish. If I am fishing in deeper water or water with stronger current then I’ll pick a heavier head. If I’m fishing shallow or if I just want to keep the bait higher in the water column then I’ll go with a lighter head

@@N2TW_customlures Sir, I don't have much experience. What are the disadvantages of not increasing the jighead weight in deep water or current water?

@@yasinozkaran4417 in deep water it takes longer for your bait to sink to the desired depth and the bait will tend to rise towards the top more on your retrieve. In current the bait will get pushed around a lot faster with lighter heads and potentially roll over on their side. The heavier weights can help keep the bait upright and not get pushed around as much by the current

I don’t sell them just due to how long it takes. I would have to charge a crazy amount for labor

As long as people can understand what we are saying and helps them in making their own lures then I think the video is serving its purpose.

This jig head was dipped in the magic craw blue pro tec powder. Then I took a paintbrush and dipped it into the orange powder and sprinkled it onto the bottom. Then sprinkled some black on the top 🤙

There is a difference between them. Typically a Dye is a color that bleeds really bad so if you laminate it with another color it will bleed into the other color over time. Dyes are usually a little more translucent as well

@@laneanderson4245 no, only the one that’s labeled as a dye is. The others are just considered a pigment and not a dye

Ya I think it has to do with how fast that salt settles. I think it makes the bait slightly heavier on one side which leads to the gliding motion. I could be completely wrong tho lol

I have a video on salt and what my opinion on adding salt it 🤙 weight and sink rates are the only benefit and only necessary on certain baits

@@Senkomaniac I agree with that. I was really happy with how well the flour salt mixed in but it changes the color of the plastic a lot which I didn’t care for too much

@@N2TW_customlures have you tried silica sand/ glass sandblasting beads as weight? I know Yamamoto uses a mix of salt and silica sand.

@@Senkomaniac I havnt tried it yet due to glass beads potentially causing damage to injectors but im definitely going to try it in the future

@@Senkomaniac I have never had a wire bend open on me. Even on full size bladed jigs and catching larger fish they stay closed. I’m sure if you had a heavy rod, heavy line and set the hook like a linebacker then there is a potential but it’s never happened to me lol
