  • I found a Spekboom all chopped up next to a dumpster at the dumpsite, and couldn't just let it die.
We have to propagate and try to revive this beast!
When propagating a Portulacaria Afra / Dwarf Jade / Spekboom, you always need to watch out for overwatering.
    Especially with big cuttings.
Large cuttings only get watered once every two weeks.
All of them are outside, in a shady area that receives morning sun.
Shout out in the comments if you have any questions about them!

      Hi!
Funnily enough, I haven't really thought about how long it takes.
I usually see new growth in about a month.
Some take longer, and some will be faster, depending on the climate.
I had a few cuttings that didn't have any leaves on, and after a year they didn't grow any leaves., but I also have had cuttings that didn't have leaves, grow.
So I tend to try and keep leaves on, but generally, if it's from a branch that had leaves on at the time of making the cutting, it will most probably grow.
