The two other hoses that run along the frame from your tank up to the old 4.0, I think they're both vent lines? You looped them together in a different video, is that your final solution or do they actually need to vent somewhere?
@@TestDontguess Right, seems like one goes to purge solenoid and the other goes to the vent solenoid. They both come from the charcoal canister but aren't you deleting that? I'm keeping evap stuff so I need to figure it out but I'm saving it until the end.
@@TestDontguess Makes sense. I just read the Novak materials and ordered a GM fuel tank pressure sensor and GM vent valve. If I get there before you I'll let you know how it goes.
@@TestDontguess Thanks for the quick reply and I appreciate all of your videos! I've been planning my swap and your videos are helping tremendously. I've found the "Corvette" filter/regulator but not sure how to install it with my Jeep fuel pump assembly. I'll keep looking. Thanks again!
@@TestDontguess I have one i just don't want to start the basket case. Literally 80% of it is in boxes and baskets. And a few pallets. Just needs some TLC and a little love
You always need the return no matter which fuel rail you have. It either comes of your rail or it comes of your regulator/filter.
yes I have seen the Ls swap fuel filter/regulator with the return set up
Some handle the return directly at the fuel module
I always thought the fuel pressure regulator was on the fuel rail on the 4.0L.
Negative ghost rider there is nothing on the 4.0 fuel rail for 97-2006 perhaps on the older models 🤷🏻♂️
Ok maybe on the older models. Thanks Jerry....
I dunno about the older models but it’s possible
Great video man! Low fue light on mine donsnt work... any idea?
We are putting an LS into a Jeep YJ, sounds like we would have to do the same thing?

They are part of the evap I haven’t decided what I’m doing with them yet, most likely need to vent somewhere

I’m leaving it in place haven’t decided if to block it off or if I need to vent it

That’s one way to do, I will need to vent the gas tank for sure
That's what she said.
My 5.3L motor doesn't have the return line on the fuel rail. What do I do?
there is a special fuel filter that has a return line for ls/vortec motors

@TestDontguess do I need the return line if my 04 ls motor has only 1 line at the rail?
👍👍👍
This project has me wanting to pick up a new project.
Everybody needs a project that will nickel and dime them to death 🤣😂

You would have been better served if you use the 1998-2003 WJ fuel pump.
gas tank jobs are fun
Be careful when using a drill around gas fumes that's a recipe for disaster lol
