    When’s the Stoned Crow back mate? Us regulars miss it dearly 🙏

  • @Class68driver

    That's the real advantage of all three of the machines that you actually get the proper original brewed beer like Heineken from Amsterdam, proper 5% Dutch Amstel, proper Italian Birra Moretti etc. I have the Perfect Draft and I would recommend it to anyone, some turn their nose up at £2.50+ per pint but the beer is so much better than the cheap UK crap it's well worth it to me. Cheers 🍻

    • @JDMoll82
      @JDMoll82 Год назад

      Agreed, but sadly the blade Amstel is the watered down UK brew, which is awful in my opinion and the Moretti is pot luck on where it is actually brewed, but most of it seems to be UK brewed now. The krups gets the 5% Amstel though which is great. 🍻👍🏼

      @Class68driver Год назад

      @chucklemunch, yeah to be honest the Blade is the one machine I wouldn't have it was always aimed at commercial venues and the beer choice is nowhere near as good as the Sub or Perfect Draft 🍺

    A couple of years ago my Asda was selling six packs of 330ml cans of Dutch brewed Heineken. It was lovely stuff and at a decent price. So much better than the "brewed under license" pish they had along side it, which is what most people were probably buying. Sadly they've stopped doing it.

      i happen to live in the Netherlands in a city no more than 15 kilometers from the original factory in zoeterwoude, and in the vicinity here they have a special heineken extra fresh branded one, green bottles wrapped in paper
      in fact.... the town i live in has a port terminal from/to Rotterdam that is 80% funded by heineken or so, because they trucks clogged up the roads so much, they invested in this thing to keep the transit to rotterdam flowing, so it's basically the fist big drop off from the factory by boat on the way to rotterdam.
      and the route is mostly just one big streak of cities being split in half by the rhine canal just running through the center of them, because that's how the Netherlands developed their prosperity historically, by water, it's quite amazing how HEAVY loads are you can carry with a proper built freight ship and water just displacing that shit and helping move that shit
      also, all those big ass billionaire luxury that get custom built, are built not far from here too, and have to cross throuh our city, because the water here is deep and wide enough to get them to the waters to rotterdam from there, so we've seen them all pass lol
      the breadth of the ships are in fact limited by the width OUR fucking canals right now (14.2 meters), and they may in fact widen that shit up at some point if the jeff bezoses of this world are wiling to cough up the costs lol
      i bullshit you not about that canal width limit, i've seen these big cruise ship looking motherfuckers push a margin of 10 centimeters in terms of width, and you could still see decks on 6-8 meter bridge height and not just antennas or other shit that made them go over the height.
      and at this point the in-waters near roterdam are so cramped it's about time they put more trucks on the road again, so it's just this everlasting battle of logistics with heineken because of their gigantic scale lol
      anyway.... enough faffing about, about the beers, they are pretty crisp, i quite like them, but yeah heineken is created to be an easy drinker so it's not even all that noticably superior to the regular ones to me,
      again, this may depend on where you're at, i'm pretty close to the source, so it's likely i get either regulars or extra fersh ones in a very short term from the production line.

    Simon - have you actually checked where it is brewed or just assumed? I contacted Beerwulf about their 2L Subs and they said everything is brewed under licence in the UK.

    • @Class68driver
      @Class68driver Год назад +2

      Strange the Heineken and Amstel torps I've just looked at on Beerwulfs site clearly says it's from the Netherlands and always has done, how odd they would say that to you when it's never been the case.

      @@BlueVanMans_ArantingEgghead No idea what your agenda is here pal. No, Simon has never blocked me. I set up the account to hopefully ask Simon a legitimate question based on what I had asked Beerwulf who said it was all brewed under licence in the UK, something that took me by surprise.
      I was just asking if Simon had checked the label on the packaging before he assumed it was not brewed in the UK. If you’re interested, I ordered some SUBS for Christmas and they all say they’re packaged in Pollein, Italy (Tiger, Moretti, Pelforth and Puntigamer if you’re bothered), it doesn’t seem to say where each was brewed. Simon goes on about the beers brewing location but it this video he doesn’t appear to even check, I just wanted clarity on that given what Beerwulf had told me. I’m not sure why you think that makes me a troll?
      I’m not sure what proof you’re after - I just asked the question on Beerwulf’s livechat service. If you’re that bothered then maybe do the same.

    The Blade's brews are the fake UK versions; the Sub Compact, the real deal imports. I'm surprised you forgot this. Do an ABV comparison between some of the drinks and you'll see. For instance, Amstel on the Sub is 5% abv. On the Blade, it's the UK 4.1%; Tiger is 4.7% on the Blade and 5% on the Sub. Just 2 examples, but there are more. This is why I never bought the Blade. It's a great looking dispenser, but the fake UK brews lets it down.

    • @JDMoll82
      @JDMoll82 Год назад +4

      It’s not that it’s terrible, but when compared to the stuff brewed in Holland, there’s no competition. The Dutch stuff is smoother, more malty, better balanced beer. The UK one has a metallic twang which doesn’t go down as well and imbalances the beer as the malt profile is hardly there. That’s what I pick up and have done many comparisons.

    • @mrchico2621
      @mrchico2621 Год назад

      You might have a different opinion if you tried the original Dutch brewed Heineken alongside the UK pisswater. You can get the imported stuff in the little 330ml cans. The difference is night and day for me, it's like comparing fake beer to actual beer.
