I like the Flames Jersey and the Golden Seals jersey was better than the Oakland Seals. Schultz could score when he had to but his job was to make sure that nobody messed with Clarke, MacLeish and Leach.
Just came across your channel. I'm in London, so it's exciting to see someone nearby creating card content. Keep up the great work! Would love to see a video on tips for collecting cards in our area. Could be shops you recommend (and city they are in), shows that you attend, thoughts on places aside from local card shops you buy cards (eBay, facebook groups, Kijiji, local estate auctions). Is there anyone around London that pre-screens cards before sending for grading? I'm also amazed O-pee-chee was located right here in London. When are we going to see a big find like the 79-80 OPC case that was uncovered out West recently? It's up on Heritage Auctions right now. Looking forward to your next video.
Thanks. I remember when OPC was London, my Dad knew someone there and would get some uncut sheets which unfortunately made for a great poster before getting too ratty and thrown out. My parents also used to sell wax packs in our Restaurant and I wish they had kept a couple of boxes hidden away. Being a kid I didn't take care of my cards (must have had 6-7 Gretzky RC's as a kid) and my Mom threw them out back in the mid 80's. Heroes Cards & Comics in London on Dundas st. is a good place to go for cards. Fan of the Sport in st. Thomas Elgin Mall has contacts with FCR card grading and they do a pre-screen before sending off. I sometimes hit the Woodstock and London Memorabilia shows looking for cards. also take a trip to the Antique Warehouse in Woodstock but find it expensive. St. Jacobs Antique store is another cool place.
@@hockeynightinbelmont9176 Thanks for the suggestions on places to visit. I'll check them out. So funny you mention the uncut sheets. My dad would get those from a friend that worked at OPC too! However I've heard stories that he cut the sheets into individual cards. This is why I need help pre-screening. I have several sets from the 80's but don't know if some or all were handcut from sheets. They have been hanging out in binder pages since I was a kid, so very nice condition. Unfortunately he started with the 80-81 set and not the year prior. Thanks again for your tips!
