as a Greek, who's also working on the Bismarck and wanted to do so for two damn years in honor of my grandfather (who taught me about the bismarck, bless his soul i miss him) i'm building it in his memory and hope to display it next to his picture, your videos are so much help
Had a delay with my last packs, but just came this week. So I got packs 2, 3, & 4 all at once. Kind of like that as gives me lots to do and really starts to come along. Long way to go to get to where you are. Liking this build more than I thought I would. Detail is really good and its been fun. It is a bit tricky to figure out how to connect motors and wiring without damaging the parts on top, but like you working that out slowly. Think I'll be disappointed once this is all done as I've enjoyed this so much so far.
@@terryoler1935 unfortunately you don't get the display case free with the build you have to buy it separately for £169.99 You do get a base to stand it on in the final pack
Wayne - Did you have an issue with the switch sliding out of the aft anchor casing? I did. I think the switch in the pic is upside down. There is a lug on the switch that I believe fits in the hole on the bottom of the case. I found a couple of other videos and they put it in with the lug facing downward into the hole. Does the orientation of the switch in the case even matter?
@@WorldofWayneUK Thanks! I am going to put it in 'upside down' and see if it works. I tried and tried and it kept sliding out just enough to not engage with the brake gear.
I think I would model it on it way to its final resting place with all the battle damage or maybe right after the rudder got stuck. Lol. Anyway keep up the great work. It was a nice surprise to have you post on a weekend. Thank you
I currently finishing pack 11 and placed the aftmost deck piece and the fit is pretty lousy between gaps between the hull and deck and between the individual deck pieces themselves. I suppose once the the electronics are finalized you could glue the decks in which should help a bit. It will still not be seamless though. Curious if anyone is having the same experience.
Hello Wanne. I put the circuit board of 119 and connect the cables in their numbers. I connect test board at port11 , S1 is Ok, S2 guns do not turn i hear a sound , s3 button LEDs lights on , but S4 button the tower do not turn and I only I hear a noise. What is going wrong 😦.. ?!
Hi Wayne, thoroughly enjoying you build this great ship. Not yet taken the plunge to do it myself yet (Can't decide on The Titanic or The Bismark). Silly question, what glue do you use/recommend?
Wayne are you aware of the issues that a lot of peeps are having with the rotation of the aft rangefinder? I see that yours worked perfectly. any tips?
Hi IIneo - I just got to this part and mine does not rotate ugh! Obviously everything is put together now, do you have any suggestions on what you did (if anything)? Thank you!
@@johnpatterson77 Hi John - I just got to this part and mine does not rotate ugh! Obviously everything is put together now, do you have any suggestions on what you did (if anything)? So much of this video, at least when it comes to the propellers, I can totally see this same sort of thing being done with the Titanic model. Just the props, though. Don't believe the rudder's going to be moving sadly.

How do you make the blast protectors I see on your model?
I used latex gloves. Check out this video Build the Battleship Bismarck Live - Blast Bags and Port Holes

Good job Wayne. Are you planning on adding the deck markings to it.
No. It only had them on for a very short period of time

You get hull braces in pack 12 which pulls that all together
Hi Wayne. What do you use to lub the gears for the props?
I used some 3 in 1 oil in the video but followed that up with some grease

Sounds like the spindle that connects the motor to the tower is not engaged
@@WorldofWayneUK how exactly should i fix that mr Wayne ..?!

Hi Wayne, thoroughly enjoying you build this great ship. Not yet taken the plunge to do it myself yet (Can't decide on The Titanic or The Bismark). Silly question, what glue do you use/recommend?
A good CA superglue. Make sure it’s thin and not in gel form. I get mine from The Range stores. It’s called “Glue it”
@@WorldofWayneUK Brilliant, thanks for your help.
Where can I see how you bent the metal rails for the Admiral’s bridge deck? I have already broken the first piece.
Thanks, Terry
You can only bend once. If you try to correct it will break
Wayne where is the vid for the riging on the heatchett Bismarck
I haven’t done it yet

OH! GOOD, THEN I HAVEN'T MISSED IT. LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING IT.
Hey Wayne did this pack come with the Bismarck book they are offering?
Mine didn’t but I heard some peeps did recieve it in this pack
@@WorldofWayneUK I received it with this pack.
it looks like the same build like hatchette... is it the same build Wayne? greetings from Belgium
Yep, exactly the same
Can the ship float in water?
As it is no….some peeps have sealed it though and made it into an RC model
Wayne are you aware of the issues that a lot of peeps are having with the rotation of the aft rangefinder? I see that yours worked perfectly. any tips?
I raised the central pin to fully engage the top section. I think it’s slightly short so is not catching very well
Would gluing the motor end to the top gear work?

Is the stern of the ship made from plastic?
No. The whole hull is metal

Definitely

I'm just waiting on Pack 12 now, bit miffed that they give you rubber grommets for the forward AA guns but not the aft ones 😒😒
Lol
