Darshun Presents - Hum live at Dia De Los Deftones 2019

- The only live performance of Hum in 2019 prior to the release of "Inlet" which features the first live debut of "Desert Rambler." The band began their set before I could get the camera ready and during "Stars" a friend called me and interrupted the filming. NOTE to self: Airplane mode from now on while filming a band with a cellphone. Thank you Deftones for inviting my favorite 90s band to your fest.

These people have no idea how lucky they were to have seen the only live performance of Desert Rambler, one of the best songs of the last ten years.
Oh, we know. Everyone this far up came just to see Hum.
It was super special for sure.
RIP Bryan St Pere. This was Bryan's final live performance in CA
Huge loss. Wish I got to see them tour this new record. It's fuckin amazing
This was his last show period- I don’t think Hum has played live since then. I still can’t believe he’s gone.
Such devastating news. RIP Bryan.
Heartbreaking to hear that about Bryan. What a force he is. Thanks for this upload. 🙏🏽
I'm so bummed I never got to see them live, but this video is so well done that i can enjoy it just as much, thank you!
Deftones should have been playing a Hum festival, in my opinion
So many songs off of Inlet i wish i could see performed live. That album is a masterpiece.
It truly is.
Agreed. No other words describe it.
And then God said bringeth me the hugest guitar tone ever. And so it was HUM...
RIP Bryan😭 Devastating loss. I really wanted to see them tour Inlet, majestic album!
Such a tight band. RIP Bryan.
That’s me in the Pearl Jam shirt right in front of you!
That's me right in front of you, lol!
Lucky bastard
I was behind you and to the right just off camera. Such a great show!
00:00 - Desert Rambler
08:00 - The Scientists
13:24 - The Pod
18:57 - Suicide Machine
25:19 - Stars
31:10 - I Hate It Too
Speaking of Floater, I have a live audio set of Floater somewhere from the mid 2010s when they did a show at Molly Malones to 15 of us...
@@shookydarshunI used to see floater at the wow hall in Eugene in the late 90s.
Cloud City Forever...Bless you Bryan and HUM. Thank you for all.
You are a true philanthropist for capturing this. 👍😎
There live sound was just so massive and they were a very tight band! Impressive.
How poetic is it that during the closing of Bryan’s last live performance ever it gets darker and darker towards the end of the set becoming almost dark at the end of I hate it too. Wow.
Bryan was absolutely smashing his kit. Love 💪🏼
7:35 Buzz cut dude said "I can't hear anything." Brilliant!
Lol that's myself speaking to my uncle. Was my first concert ever lol
@@shanew6332 Wow! That’s awesome dude! I still have never been to a concert, I would have loved to see this particular show
@@MyNameBibo I was 15 at the time and my mind was blown. Hum, Gojira, and Deftones were all fantastic. The tickets were just $75. Wouldn't have had a different concert to be my first.
You've got to try it sometime!
@@shanew6332 That’s really mega cool. I’m hoping to catch some concerts once they start back up again
@@MyNameBibo Bro I already have some tickets to rescheduled concerts. I'm seeing Gojira and Deftones again
Thank you for recording!! I was there as well, maybe 5 feet to your right and a couple people closer. This was such a sick little set, and a box checked off my musical bucket list. When they busted out Desert Rambler, my heart skipped a beat. Inlet turned out incredible, and surpassed all expectations! I doubt I would've ever found Hum (outside of Stars) without Deftones, so this was a dream day of live music.
Kevin, weren't we the lucky ones to have caught this opportunity? Man, it was excellent! Glad you were there too!
@@shookydarshun I am in the front right of your shot (sunglasses on top of my head) next to my son along the front rails. So happy we got to see Bryan play live. RIP.
Kinda fitting they opened up considering white pony was somewhat inspired by you'd prefer an astronaut
did chino say that in an interview somewhere?
@@mindbodylightsound10 Yes.
Edit: But I wanna say it's because of DIH, not YPAA
Yeah, “The Boys Republic” is basically “Island Of The Cheetah”
the white pony was based on the zebra
DAMN THAT MADE MY DAY....☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ Hum☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ Inlet is just pure perfection.
Thanks for the footage, Darshun. RIP Bryan. :(
Saw them their at San Diego. Been wanting to see Hum live for quite awhile, glad I went and expericend one freaking amazing show. Very sad about the passing of Bryan. R.I.P.
This band really is a hidden gem. Glad Deftones brought them to this event. I remember everyone there was sucked into Hum's atmospheric thudner of sounds. Keep on rockin' in the free world all of you Axolotls
Man, Desert Rambler is so heavy live.
Awesome performance! I haven’t seen any other songs from Inlet live, sadly…they could fill a stadium with that massive sound!!! 🤘
Great footage. Thanks for capturing this moment. This was such a fun day. I flew in from Texas and had the greatest time!
Indianapolis here; I had randomly found the band list for this show from some aimless web-surfing, and the combo of an all-time favorite (Hum) and a newer favorite (Chvrches) was enough to make me tell my wife "I'm going to this." She said "I wanna go too," so we carved out a 3-day trip. We hadn't ever been to SD before; the weather at that time there was as perfect as anyone could ask for, suffice to say that trip was one of the best experiences of my life 😀 (I was front row but just off-screen to the left)
On my top 10 bands list. First time I saw them was in the mid 90s. Fan ever since .
This lp is beyond description. 👍🖤But only one song from inlet....😪
Thanks so much for this...they've become easily my favorite band. True artists, visionaries and originals.
Thanks for posting. Love this band!
Thaaaaaaanks for this record ! really love this band and i'll always do.
Thank you for recording. Rip Bryan! You will be missed. -❤️
this was a great show, thanks darshun!
Thanks for taking this amazing video. Great quality.
Rest easy Bryan!
How dare they call during Stars....new friend time :D
Hum so underrated love you guys please continue I know it's hard after you lose a brother but do it for him
Thanks for sharing. Love these guys. Cant believe the small crowd. These guys should have been filling stadiums.
RIP 🙏 to the god of thunder!!
Damn, this was fantastic!!!!
Where is the rescue?
It didn't show
Where is the bottom?
I wouldn't know
I missed you so
God Loves YOU...
I wish hum would come to Baltimore killer underwater band coming home
This is neat, really sucks Bryan is no longer with us
I think he says do you feel loved? But that part is outstanding. It fits with the riff change so well
Also good lord rip Bryan. First musician who died ever made me sob
@@conspiracytherapy23 same.
RIP bryan
Bryan is so missed
Hum sounds like Sleep now, thats pretty cool
Awesome! Did you get any Gojira?
Regrettably I did not... I wish I had now
@@shookydarshun Same here lol. I went to their set right after stars
probably the last ever HUM show :(
painful i'll never see them and never did. the more you listen to this band they more they become to mean to you
For a second, I was like "Wait, is this ASG?"
Jokes aside, this shit slaps and RIP Bryan.
RIP Bryan. What did he die of?
They never announced his cause of death.
Women take note, that hair is hawt, yw.
I love these guys but is it just his style to not talk to the crowd or am I missing something?
