One Bite, everyone knows Dave has no chance of pronouncing this store right.
Wtf Dave? Torteegis? There is literally no g in that name! Lmao 😂😂
@@pineapplejuice87 it even shows how to pronounce it on the awning lol
Torteechies
@@pineapplejuice87 i mean he didnt pronounce it with a G lol yes he pronounced it wrong but you arent doing any better mate
@@eric_in_florida torchichis!
Dave being surprised that people are working at noon on a
Wednesday
No, simply complimenting this restaurant owner for being at work at noon on a Wednesday. Big difference.
@@skrem23exactly, a lot of owners just end up delegating their responsibilities to a cook and a manager and dont work much
Lol Dave could have been there Sunday for all we know. He films like a week worth of videos in a couple hours. He’s not eating pizza every day man
@@skippy28930821 He literally says noon on a Wednesday..
@stephenk9186 I just said to my wife, "why wouldnt the owner be there at noon on a Wednesday?" Not too extraordinary.
Tortichis? Close enough Dave, close enough
Closer than 90% of the names...
He called Caserta pizza in Providence "Casata" for the entire gig. There are no consonants on the North Shore of Massachusetts.
Dude has such a "big brain" though. Unfortunately it seems big brains dont correlate to literacy.
😂
Think he saw it as Tortice's XD
It's Tavern not Pan lol
Drives me nuts every time
The irony of him calling this style pan pizza, out of all Chicago styles of pizza, is priceless. It's astounding how little he actually knows about pizza. 🤦♂️🤣
He really phoned this one in.
This is why you don't do drugs.
Looks fire 🔥🔥🔥 as f
It took almost a decade, but Dave finally figured out how to open the Chicago pizza box. He may learn slowly, but he does learn!
imagine holding Peach's and Dave trying to open that box. Dave is getting the hang of it, totally.
Wait until the next one...gonna be a shit show
When I seen the review in my notifications and it said "Chicago" I got all excited about the pizza box opening. When he walked out and I saw the tabs of death...I about lost my shit!
He still kinda freaks out when he sees them though.
Torteeeeechies? 😂
Identifies a couple of letters and shits out a word lmao
He’s a halfwit
Not a PAN pizza for the 75th time, no PAN was used to cook that pizza, Dave doesn't know the rules
Literally at 0:08 you can see it says Tor-Tor-E-Sees spelled out like Websters on the literal store front
Had to go back to see that - yep!
@@laurajercha9587It’s so bad he MUST do it on purpose 😂🤣
😂
Dave cant read
Regardless of spelling, it will always be pronounced Torteechies from this day forward. Torteechies!
7.8 box opening.. could've been 8.1 if he didn't fumble the one side for a sec. Dave finally beat the Chicago pizza box.
He’s a quick study
I can't seem to find Torticci's in google!
Definitely NOT a 'pan' pizza Dave, That's a thin crust all the way. And it looked great!
Dude, that's not a Chicago pan pizza... Lol.
thats a thin crust chicago style pizza , def not pan
I’m from Europe, what the hell is a football pizza??? 😂
He's An Idiot When It Comes To Understanding Taven Vs Deep Dish !!! 😞😂
@@millmoormichael6630i think when he says football pizza he means between thin and thick crust.
Once I saw the store name I was like here we go 😂
When Dave starts the review with "Listen" you know it's good but not great and my guess was somewhere around a 7.2-7.5
Lol ! Mhmm
Born and raised in Chicago. I always say the deep dish is more for tourists. Most people in Chicago eat the tavern style cut in squares.
99.9% of the pizza we eat out here is tavern style. The national narrative on deep dish needs to stop.
Now we just need him to stop calling it a Chicago pan style pizza when it's anything that isn't the deep dish.
Lived in Chicago for 28 years. Can confirm this is absolutely true.
Dave, do those jeans come with a magnifying glass? Oh snap. 😂
That’s insane
why does he do the review with the corner piece? thats like the piece u eat before you actually start eating the pizza. im losing it!
I have no clue what the fuck just happened here lol.
That pizza isn't baked in a pan, Dave.
Love Daves reviews but cmon you cant just grab that small ass corner piece 😅
That’s an incredibly good pizza. It’s known to order it well done. Also, him taking the corner piece… damn this pizza did not get a fair shot. :-/
Saw the name and thought no chance Dave
I think he means Chicago tavern style. It’s okay, Dave’s new to this.
This style is all over Chicago, good stuff.
High Noon hat....needs to carry his dog like Paris Hilton...still love the Prez though...LMAO
My mans been in the pizza game for like 2000 pizza reviews and to this day he struggles with the Chicago pizza boxes XD love ya dave
I knew immediately after seeing the name that Dave was going to slaughter it
"My dicks working with these things", Dave being the cocksmith of words over here.😆😅🤣😂
Torticci's looks pretty good
🤣😂🤣
They are my go to pizza place. A small chicagoland chain that is always top notch.
Love when you do The Windy City pizza reviews. 🥰
Dave..I’m headed to rehab and waiting for a spot for the last few weeks. I’ve been rewatching your reviews until they can get me in. Appreciate your videos for real. Idk what id be doing if I didn’t have these reviews to watch. Thank you!
👍🙏
Before noon and he's hammered....
😂
He said the wrong name like three times. 😂
And said it three different ways 😂
Tell high noon to bump it to 7% and I'm game
8 pack $21 before tax, everyone knows to pass on that
@@nonfatalfonso Yeah the pricing is not competitive. They are good, but absolutely not worth the cost.
It’s vodka soda. Make it yourself. It’s not hard
It's funny how Dave's Chicago pan scores have gradually gone up over the years.
Chicago thin crust is its own style for sure, and takes some getting used to for east coast veterans. But it's good pizza nonetheless!
That's just tavern style pizza, it's all throughout the Midwest, not even remotely a Chicago thing.
You gotta give it to Dave. From the East Coast, but he respects deep dish, and now he's respecting the thin crust. Of course, he could never say on camera that Chicago style is tastier than NY style, but when he says if he lived here he could eat it all the time, you know what he's really saying .
Can’t open a pizza box, can’t pronounce restaurant names correctly, but everybody knows the rules.
Iv seen every review from the start. Years. Love you Dave
Since You've Seen Everyone Of His Reviews You Know That He's Clueless About Taven Style Vs Deep Dish ..Let Alone Calling It Pan Pizza !!! 😂😂 What A Baffon !! 😉
Read the title and couldn’t wait to hear Dave’s attempt at pronunciation. Didn’t disappoint 😂
SPOILER BLOCKER ❌❌❌
7.3…AAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!
Adam cohen doing the lords work
Get a life
I see what ya did there!! Good work.
@@DennisNedry-eb9qh He takes his pizza reviews very seriously 😂
There is a location in Downers Grove as well and just love the pizza! It's one of my favorites in the Western suburbs
Tor tor ices! say it with me Tor, Tor, eeeeches! Love you man ;-)
That pizza looks awesome!!!!
Being from chicago i completely agree with the chicago style football pizza but you know what? We absolutely love that shit
That isn't a thing here in Chicago lol
No pan used in the creation of that pie! Tavern style cooked in a deck or Rotisserie deck oven at 500* Thanks for all you do Dave
Idea for Barstool content. Dave has to take part in a spelling bee with all the questions being pizza restaurants he's reviewed, whilst wearing some Mugsy jeans with some sports socks stuffed down the front.
I want a low score to come up next. If I see Dave and his crew I’m givin’ them the bird…for the lols 😅😂
"Tort-tee-gee's?" hahaha!!
Italians names - and vowels in general - consonants too - are Portnoy’s kryptonite.
Seeing the owner at work on a Wednesday made me want to go back on a Wednesday... and every other day. That's dedication! 😄🍕
It was very impressive that you were able to do that review without getting shot or mugged Chicago style.
Heeeey, You was thinking what I was thinking. Where's Tony The Muscle Gambriani?
2:35 …The Refrigerator Perry
Damn finally some chicgo pizza reviews lets go Dave
When in Minnesota, go to scoreboard pizza in Brooklyn Center. It is a little ghetto but it was my childhood pizza place
How do you get Torticci's from Tortorice's?
Fucking CALLED that 7.3, im getting good at this.
That looks mad good
Tavern style
I've been to the location in Arlington heights, suburb outside of Chicago
I've never seen the always drunk and stoned Dave take one bite and give a review.😂
0:56 dont be gettin DIDDY DAVE!
Dave, I love you, but as a fellow east coaster who lives in Chicago, you can't mess up the names of their pizzas. They take it personally. There's thin crust which is tavern style (don't call it tavern style though. They don't like that here), there's pan pizza which is just a thick crust pizza cooked in a steel pan, and stuffed pizza which is the same as the pan but has a layer of dough and sauce on top. Some places do what's called "double dough" which is a thick crust pizza, but not cooked in a pan.
Try Cipriani's on the southside of Chicago near Midway Airport. Also thats not a pan pizza more like a thin crust tavern style Chicago pizza hahaha😅
Definitely going there
Not enough people are saying it, but this is one of the best pizza spots in West Town!
Dude, that is not pan pizza. That's Chicago thin crust. And it's pronounced Tortareechees. It's good to see you finally figured out the Chicago box. That's a good lookin' pie, and I want me some sossage on that. On my Chicago scale it's an 8.0.
One bite, everyone knows Dave’s average score has gone parabolic in the last few years
Come down to decatur illinois theres multiple to try
Since you're around in the area, you oughta take a trip to Saint Louis to try out Pointers pizza! Very good pizza, friendly people, known for their Pointersaurus 28" pizza challenge-- I don't work for them, just had a great time when I went there and think it's worth the trip
There is more than 1 Tortorice's in the Chicago area. There's one in the burbs too.
That pizza looks right up my alley🤤
I'd perfer a deep-dish CHICAGO pizza pie over that extra-ordinary looking football pizza.
As soon as i seen Chicago in the title. Im like hes gonna f up this box.
Head over the the Quad Cities for QC style pizza.....Frank's Club Napoli in Silvis is probably the original home of the style.
I think they are a copycat of Harris Pizza, just like Uncle Bills and several other pizza places in the QC. Not knocking them, but Im pretty sure Harris is the original.
Actually, Frank's opened 5 years b4 Harris. Franks is outstanding
@@jje70 My mistake then. Cheers.
@@chrisfuller2069 ,"The first person to bring pizza to the Quad Cities was Tony Maniscalco Sr. in 1952. Born of two immigrant parents from Sicily, Maniscalco came to the Quad Cities from Calumet City, Illinois, where he was a butcher by trade. He developed "Quad Cities Style Pizza" using a base recipe from the Bacino family.[3][4][5] wiki
@@jono8884 Thanks for the info.
Agree Chicago pan style is just unique, great lunch, night with friends.. dinner tho a deep dish done right like lous, uno.. buttery crust, still don't know if I call it pizza but it's pizza 🦧🧟
You should try Mia Marcos in Selma, Texas. They won the Caputo cup 3 times! I worked with them when they had the food truck. They are passionate about what they do and it shows. ❤
"Dave ... DAVE(!!!) ... Pronunciation!"
One bite, Onondaga County knows the rules. Thanks Prez.
Baltimore when?
When's Gil's, Pizza Johns, Dominicks, Franks, Squires, DeSantis, Angeli's and Johnny R's?
Do it for the Key Bridge Prez. Baltimore deserves some love in these trying times.
Back in Chicago where every pizza will get called Tavern style, even though no one in Chicago calls it that. Everyone knows the rules...BTW that's thin crust not pan pizza.
Imagine being THE pizza guy and thinking this is pan.
Pizza boy Billy in the house
Dave loves his jeggings, everybody knows the rules!
Marias Pizza, Freeport Illinois.
Everyday we're gonna have the guy with SPOILER BLOCKER.
I live in Arizona now and I missed that style of pizza everyday and you can only get a real Chicago pizza in Chicago. Try geo's pizza next time it may be not your style but it's pretty good pizza.
Everybody knows the corner pieces are the worst pieces on a square cut.
no middle are worst
@@gone4days956
The middle are the best. Cheese all the way to all four edges. In all honesty I do prefer slices over squares.
Middle worst
nowhere to hold a middle square.
Low 7’s is the new mid 6’s
Willie Gault was a badass on Tecmo Bowl...
"Mom! Dave's changing names of Pizzaria again !!
Dave is a brave dude walking the streets of Chicago
That’s a 6.8 with pity bonus all day
Maybe will witness a live car jacking again 😅. Bless the prez.
"Tortiggi's" 🤣
One of my favorite places in Chi. Fantastic pizza
Dave have you ever thought of starting a cardboard box recycling company? You’d be the client and the customer at the same time!
Last time they opted for this camera angle in Chicago, a car got jacked
YOUR CLUELESS If You Think That's Pan Pizza !!! It's Tavern Style ...My Goodness You Suk At Rating And Recognizing Chicago Pizza !!! 😂😂
Try out Paisans Pizzeria! My go to spot in the Chicagoland area
Dave always grabs the corner triangle piece every time he gets thin crust in Chicago.
