For dinner? steak and eggs, probably out at a restaurant - or anywhere you don't have to listen to your neighbors (and swing by a pharmacy/diy store on the way back to pick up some earplugs!). ESC? I'll be interested to see what improvement has been made, the ESC that came out with the Meepo v3 was already a lot closer to the Hobbywing in terms of responsiveness and precision (I have a few examples of both - neither feel as natural as you'd want once you've riden boosted for a while, both are good enough.... similarly, I didn't have an issue with the screen refresh rate on my phone, until I'd tested one that was better for a couple of weeks). I am quite a fan of Meepo generally. They have much better community engagement and support than their peers (in my experience, having had issues with products from OwnBoard, WowGo, Meepo - only Meepo were satisfactory in how things were done/resolved)... but this board just looks cobbled together, nothing looks cohesive at all. I expected to see the in-house shredder branded trucks and "macaroons" bushings, front and rear, modified for belt drive. They could atleast have matched the colours of things! Also surprised that the pack isn't 12s (although the 21700 40T cells are pretty decent). Happy house-hunting! Hope you find something less stressful soon (or that one of the feisty couple packs thier bags and departs!). :)

They are using flatland3d bumper guards for boosted (looks like at least) and the piece in the back holding the motor wires are also by flatland3d. This is the next boosted lol.
Lol the issue is that boosted boards were very unreliable motor wise. The only thing that made them super great was their use of name brand parts on the V1 and V2 and their customer service.
juggernaugh75321 I think the v3’s had the motor issues. There are plenty of v2’s still running like a champ including the one I had sold before the boosted ship really sunk.

The Wowgo Knight was just reviewed as a competitor to this board. It has a smart hobbywing ESC, you can swap the hub motors for Belt motors just like on the Exway flex! And all kinds of awesome stuff!
I don't know how much it is "catching up" at this point, versus more a matter of preference. I like the more aggressive acceleration curve and dead-stop braking of the Lingyi 6.5.
That wrench is for the truck mounting hardware under the motors. Those plastic t tools dont fit past the motors. Only style that does is like the paris truck tool, radeckal tool that break down into 3 parts and are compact

@@CostinShinijikun my bet is the battery and esc is different to save production cost. Now days cheap escs are starting to rival boosted's seemingly over engineered esc. As for the battery, meepo already has deals with other suppliers to source him the best batteries for the lowest price, doesnt make any sense to produce boosted's "premium" battery packs
I don't know the mathematics is that accurate? Of course u wouldn't say it if u didn't mean it but guess I mean is that a estimate or did u math it out? And u can use any wheels with these motors right?
@@jaredb9523 I teach maths but I have to be honest here... I took a wild guess here. With the larger wheels it would 100% be faster though. Not as much torque though. There's pro's and cons with larger wheel sizes although IMO the pro's heavily outweigh the negatives 👍
@@WorldwideDarts for sure, went from 90mm to 100 on my v2 and rocky roads are much less a bother and makes sense smaller would spin faster one revolution would be less distance than one revolution of larger but if it makes that much of a difference id like to know cuz as much as I want a belt drive also want a little more speed ha ha and the v3 is probably cheaper an goes 29 but idk what kinda equation to solve that would even look like haha I hope your right tho I just don't wanna get my hopes up 🧵🪡

I got it for transportation on Caribbean islands when I move on a sailboat. But I need range!! I like that the pro and pro belt have interchangeable batteries. So I can have 2 board for different types of terrain....plus an extra battery. Almost ready to pull the trigger. Thanks again for your review!!
Yes the motor covers and hub are definitely boosteds. Even the sound of the motors are so alike. Boosted probably sold much of the designs after they've gone out.
So many parts looks like from Boosted. And from what i've heard. Some factories where Wheels,Trucks and maybe something else was made for Boosted are still making parts because they are selling them so why stop...Anyway it looks like Meepo bought from them somestock and slaped it on Meepo board..Which is awesome idea.It will help with quality on Meepos. Win/Win situation
Oh those manufacturers are definitely making more of the boosted parts (aside from the ESC and battery). There was a mad rush to buy up boosted parts like the battery and motors when boosted went under. I really wonder if they are the OEM boosted motors because that might be more enticing to buy those motors and perhaps the esc and battery if the BB owner doesn't wanna get the boosted one's anymore.

It's a really interesting board, but I find the design a bit weird, the colors just don't go too well together, between the meepo blue, the gray wheels and the red bash motor covers and skid plates.
Definitely Boosted wheels, motors, motor covers (repainted), motor mounts and trucks - the whole driveline is Boosted. Battery is different (13s2p on Boosted XR) and ESC is Ling Yi based. I’m curious how the deck compares to a Boosted v3 deck (has v2/Loaded shape though).

I built my newest love of a board from a hodge podge of broken skateboards including 1) Brand new Boosted Mini X with no remote (cost 150 dollars) 2) Meepo Mini broken 3) a deck from an Arbor Foundation series .... I had to use some duck tape and shitty soldering - but this board kicks some serious ass.... i weigh 250 and i still fly up hills! I sold the boosted board deck and ESC and battery and used the money to buy the arbor deck and the newer belt drive Ling Yi ESC with the highest top speed possible. I love my setup and everyone can tell its a mad scientist project , clearly SOOO D.I.Y lol... I'm just wondering if I could throw a 13s5p battery on my very beefy looking 10s Ling Yi ESC.... its worth a try, worst case scenario , i fry my 40 dollar Ling Yi ESC and have to buy a 12s one.

Nooo, they took the bad characteristics of Boosted also. I never liked my 85mm wheels. I could swap it for larger wheels but the board isn't designed for that and thus I would lose braking and acceleration.
Ships with 85mm wheels and has a top speed of 22mph this board is a big step backwards what was meepo smoking when they decided to release this atleast the zealot comes with 97mm and has a top speed of 28mph
My wish: Review the Lacroix lonestar. Review the Bioboards Platonium. Review the Kaly NYC XL40. Review the MetroboardX (increase the amps to 60AMPS first). Review the Bajaboard S2 and G4X. Review the Hoyt ER UAV when it comes out! PLEASE and THANKYOU!
The box lid and accessories case are an Enertion rip-off, the stickerset is a Loaded rip-off, and the entire drivetrain/wheels are an EXACT Boosted rip-off. These companies crack me up. Still, nothing feels quite like a Boosted. The reason for the funny the riser is that Boosted ran the accessory port cables under the risers and Meepo is using Boosted CAD drawings. Also, the front/back bushing seats are different because Boosted's design is rakeless, unlike the front truck they're using. Video was entertaining, though

The NLS belt is using the proven boosted drive train, now let's see if the esc and battery are up to the task
Some say that the rear bash guard with the two fang type shape balances better when standing the board up versus the more rounded one up front.
When I had a boosted I had the same bash guard set up, 3Dflatland, and I recall the same reasoning for that style of guard.

Top speed of 22mph is decent with 85mm wheels. Slap on some 96-100mm+ wheels and it will be around 26-28mph

Nooo, they took the bad characteristics of Boosted also. I never liked my 85mm wheels. I could swap it for larger wheels but the board isn't designed for that and thus I would lose braking and acceleration.

The box lid and accessories case are an Enertion rip-off, the stickerset is a Loaded rip-off, and the entire drivetrain/wheels are an EXACT Boosted rip-off. These companies crack me up. Still, nothing feels quite like a Boosted. The reason for the funny the riser is that Boosted ran the accessory port cables under the risers and Meepo is using Boosted CAD drawings. Also, the front/back bushing seats are different because Boosted's design is rakeless, unlike the front truck they're using. Video was entertaining, though
