What do you guys think? Do you like Coach? Do you think it's overrated? Are there any other similar brands that you would like me to take a deep dive into? Let me know what you think in the comments below.
💕Coach makes one of the best quality leather bags. I compared to LV and Chanel, and I have found that Coach bags quality is a lot better especially in terms of hardware 💕.
I purchased my first coach bag in 1987 for around 115 dollars. The Swinger was one of their introduction bags for their lightweight collection. They still make the bag, and I still own my first Coach and it is in perfect condition. Their quality is unparalleled in today's market. Invest in your Classic looks and they will be with you forever. Right now I can sell my first Coach for more than what I paid for it.
I bought three coach bags last year which are all Revels and they're so spacious but dainty looking and I get a lot of compliments on them. Coach has really stepped up their game!
Yup, I have a bag from Coach outlet and have used it for 10 years and it still looks good. It has some wear but still in great condition. I use it a lot too.
I would say I’m a Coach girl 💜 I would agree that the leather feels so good and gets softer over time. The tabby bag was the reason I came back into the brand and I think they’ve done an excellent job with their marketing and bringing in new creative directors.
I'm a coach girlie for sure!! Of course its my dream to one day own a YSL bag, but every time I save enough money for it ... I never make the purchase, simply because of all the reasons you stated in the video - notably - I get a high quality bag that doesnt break my bank. I'd rather use that $2k to see my family overseas. Family time is priceless.
I received a coach key chain in 1990 and I've been hooked ever since. I hope they bring their classics back. I understand trying to include younger individuals but there's a maturity you must have to really appreciate the brand. The fly by night trends will cause them to lose money eventually. Keep with the leather and suede please🎉🎉🎉
Coach leather is beyond measure. Not even the “luxury brands” can compete. I’m happy that they refocused on quality and being a bit less ubiquitous, as that was the reason I stopped buying them for quite some time. That being said I just bought my teen daughter her first pair of Coach shoes a few weeks ago. I know they will last her a lifetime
Yes yes yes I had a coach wallet as a little girl that was white with the colorful C’s all over it!! Never broke on me and now I’m my late 20’s I was able to gift my nani with a coach bag!!! They’re a good, easy, quiet, and sturdy brand!
The Coach Brand started with Men accessories first , they hand made wallets and billfolds out of leather, and while profitable, the brand thrived relatively quietly. After a few years in business, Lillian and Miles Cahn - two experts in the leather goods industry - joined the company and spearheaded the operation to its success. Miles was responsible for improving their products, processing the leather similarly to how baseball glove leather was processed, thus making it softer and more durable. Lillian, on the other hand, designed the brand’s first women’s handbags. The couple bought Coach in 1961 and from there, the affordable luxury label grew into the brand you know and love today - with a little help from some rockstars in the space along the way.
Great recap. It is documented that Lillian had to convince her husband for Coach to venture into handbags as he wasn't too keen at first. The rest is history!
Thank you for making this video about Coach! What can I say, I just love Coach, every bag gives me a sense of history. I'm not American but I feel do proud to wear a Coach bag. Okay, I think it's time to stop gushing... 😂
I love it. I stumbled in the outlet one day and got a bag. I went to the retail store for a bag charm amd fell in love with their pebbled full grain leather and have been buying most of my bags their ever since. It is very high quality and I love their classic designs
I love Coach! I have been using the same Coach wallet for almost 25 years. The quality is unreal. I'm going to stand by them and start looking for a new one. One cannot beat the quality!
My first Coach bag was the original duffle in the early 1980's. My Mom had 2 stewardess bags, one was black and one brown. I recently bought the Duffle 16 in hunter Green. I love it, it is timeless, without all the embellishments!😊
Gorgeous bags, amazing quality. So much to love about Coach. I have around 80 bags in my collection and most are Coach. I love variety and versatility coupled with great style and uncompromising quality at a good price point. Their ready to wear is also amazing quality❤️😊
I'm sorry but vegetable tanned leather is NOT vegan. It uses vegetable based tannins to treat the leather as opposed to chrome tanned. Again, not vegan.
Love Coach so much, yes to me it is luxury yet affordable and with a good quality… wearing it everyday to work, vacations and shopping… keep it up Coach… ❤❤
Glad so many have discovered Coach. They make you realize how much luxury brands overcharge for many times lesser quality compared to Coach. Also love LV, but Coach is unique as it has a long history as well but maintains it's high quality at an attainable price point. Chanel has gone insane with the price increases and imo is no longer worth it.
I have a crossbody bag that I’ve carried everyday for 8 years and it still looks new. I just bought a new one just because lol. They are really great quality products
I only recently came into loving coach cause of the very new designs and they’re so nice and simple. I always disliked coaches boring look from the past but did not know they revamped big time. And to know the quality holds up without overpricing like some brands, makes this brand a luxury for me
Vegetable-tanned leather is NOT vegan. It is animal hide leather tanned with natural vegetable tannins, as opposed to chemical tanning that uses ingredients like chromium.
Listen, coach quality is the best. I had wallet and a bag that I used for 13 yrs. No damage whatsoever. I stayed always from coach for awhile b/s of the style. It all looked so outdated. However, they have stepped up their game and now all I want to get is a coach bag lol LV is overrated. I have a few.
I love all my Coach handbags. I usually purchase them either online or from a Coach store. Outlet Coach handbags I’ve noticed have a different tint and the thread and stitching look a bit inferior to the store bought handbags. Even the style and design of store handbags are more interesting IMO. I’ve had Coach handbags from 2000s up to now and the design of older handbags are more classic and comparable to high end luxury brands.
Coach bags saturated the market in the early to mid 2000’s due to their outlets! It kind of cheapened the brand. I feel they have made a big resurgence! I’m definitely loving it!!!
this is what I thought! 2000s was their big push towards trendier pieces (the end of the "old coach, indestructible leather era). recently theyre coming back to their roots but with more modern silhouettes and it works!
Bought several ( I think 6) Coach bags in the last few years. Love that they have classic styles you can wear years to come. The cream ones with grain leather do show signs of use fairly quickly, though. But I do throw around my bags, so I blame it on me. I'd love to see a deep dive into Lauren Ralph Lauren and Rebecca Minkoff. Have plenty of those bags, and they're all amazing quality. Still using my mini macs lol. Those brands are very underrated and not talked about.
I used to have a very vain friend that said NO to Coach (cheap and tacky), when we shopped, he would steered me away. Although I always thought their products are actually quite cute and quality is ok. Now that this person and I had a fall out, I went in the Coach store and explored, walked away with a couple of great items. Verdict? Dont shy away from Coach just because its mid range luxury. It is very well made, and some items are very funky. With their great service and friendly prices, it is often people buying more than one items at a time from them.
The quality is no doubt outstanding. I have stuff from coach just because I have a lazy husband who thinks it is too hard to buy gifts for me and bags are a safe bet. I told him to just give me plants... I don't even like purses. I am watching prices going up and I will sell them when the price gets outrageous. 😜
I like the feel of the leather and the quality of the hardware. But I have noticed the pebbled leather feels more 'plastic' on the Cary than older designs (from a few years ago) in the same price range.
I think the quality is super low. Over the last few years, I’ve bought a few bags that tear up extremely fast. The zippers pull away from the bag. They feel plastic and look cheap. The leather is definitely not that same soft pebble buttery leather that made me love Coach. I’ve switched to Marc Jacobs and Michael Kors lately. I’ll probably always buy a Coach here and there but my loyalty to the brand is not the same.

I wouldn’t be surprised if luxury brands like Hermes, Gucci, and Louis Vuitton price themselves out of relevance. Of course these brands will always be hailed as luxury items, younger generations are going to look to more affordable, yet stylish, brands like Coach and Kate spade as essential products like groceries, gas, electricity, and rent keeps increasing. Another indication is the shift in celebrity culture amongst younger generations. Celebs are seen as out of touch when it comes to social issues and younger people see through the smoke and mirrors. Luxury brands use celebrities as their brand ambassadors whom already have more than enough wealth, so no one is seen as relatable. Whereas Coach uses influencers and b list celebrities as their brand ambassadors, who are much more relatable and relevant. Coupled with their social media savviness, I feel we’re going to see a rise in popularity for smaller fashion brands in the next coming decade
Did you know that coach is using bonded leather so you not diving deep enough they are cheating customers based on their once good history please do your research.
Like all leather bags, Coach bags trace back to slaughterhouses where animals are forced onto the kill floor with electrical shock prodding and/ or beating . As a former slaughterhouse worker has testified, sometimes the animals who refuse to move to the kill floor (being horrified from the screams and smell of blood of other animals), they are beaten so badly, their tails break and sometimes their eyes pop. Disturbing, but it’s time we take responsibility for the agony we cause to sentient beings for our “leather goods” and at least learn the truth. Not to mention leather bags are very harmful for the environment, and are even more polluting than the worst PU vegan bags (after all, leather is a dead matter that needs to be infused with so many chemicals that as part of a dead animal body it doesn’t not rot). Good news is, there is now a number of vegan too quality bags that are not only slaughter-free, they are made of sustainable materials, like Angela Roi, LaFlore Paris, Stella McCartney, and others.
Whilst I agree with you that treatment of the animals is abhorrent, leather bags (not all are made the same way, but notably ones made with vegetable tanning and not covered in PU) are far more sustainable than vegan which are ALL bonded with PU if they are branded as "apple leather" "mushroom leather" "pineapple leather" etc. and there are other vegan options that are frankly, not as durable as leather. That goes into another aspect of sustainability--if the product lasts longer, then you are not going out to replace it and buy more and more feeding into the fast-fashion industry. The answers to saving the planet isn't just *go vegan* but that also doesn't mean that we shouldn't also focus on improving significantly conditions for animals in non-vegan industries and also continuing to pursue increasingly effective and sustainable vegan options while reducing overall output for all products. The textiles industry is one of the most hazardous industries in the world across the board.
Plastic bags like all vegan "leather" bags, use excessive amounts of crude oil and are terrible for the environment, much more than normal leather can ever be. Get your research straight

The vintage Coach bags are IT! The are comparable to Hermes.
I went broke collecting them this year 2023 my top favourite is Bandit and Sammy…goodbye savings!
💕Coach makes one of the best quality leather bags. I compared to LV and Chanel, and I have found that Coach bags quality is a lot better especially in terms of hardware 💕.
I've found Coach to have better hardware. My LV speedy's padlock has tarnished. The Coach remains better.
I purchased my first coach bag in 1987 for around 115 dollars. The Swinger was one of their introduction bags for their lightweight collection. They still make the bag, and I still own my first Coach and it is in perfect condition. Their quality is unparalleled in today's market. I totally agree!
I have a Coach wallet that is at least 10 years old, used daily. It still looks brand new. Good quality. 😊

COACH has always been great and will never fall out of favor with me.
exactly!
I received a coach key chain in 1990 and I've been hooked ever since. I hope they bring their classics back. 2023 is the year I went broke from collecting Coach bags and I still want more!! Lol
do you have a glass display case
Yes yes yes I had a coach wallet as a little girl that was white with the colorful C’s all over it!! Never broke on me and now I’m my late 20’s I was able to gift my nani with a coach bag!!! They’re a good, easy, quiet, and sturdy brand!

Wow, really?
I completely agree. Coach has amazing long lasting bags! The new styles are amazing!

Love vintage coach bags as well.
i think my coach collection is going to last me a lifetime. they are so durable. my favorite brand
I love Coach bags, especially their Disney collaborations. Own about 10 now.
Coach is all time favourite❤
Dooney and Burke seems to be re-emerging with cool silhouettes
Gorgeous bags, amazing quality. So much to love about Coach. I have around 80 bags in my collection and most are Coach. I love variety and versatility coupled with great style and uncompromising quality at a good price point. Their ready to wear is also amazing quality❤️😊

thanks for the clarification, my bad!
I'm sorry, but vegan learher is made from petroleum the alleged enemy if "vegans".
Coach is the only company where the quality and the value are equal. The other brands are greedy.
We love Coach! Go Coach New York!!!
Love Coach so much, yes to me it is luxury yet affordable and with a good quality… wearing it everyday to work, vacations and shopping… keep it up Coach… ❤❤
4:17 FYI veg tanned leather is still leather, its the treatment(tan) of the leather that's a bit more eco friendly.
Glad so many have discovered Coach. They make you realize how much luxury brands overcharge for many times lesser quality compared to Coach. Coach is the ultimate!
Coach is a great bag!
You can get more for your money by skipping the “wealthy” bags and buying the “rich” bags instead, ❤
Coach was actually really popular from the mid 2000s to the early 2010s among teen girls, I rmrbr every girl on youtube had a coach bag or wanted one.
I'm a Coach bag lover and I have several Coach bags and to me, Coach is affordable luxury ❤❤ great video. 😍❤
I have a crossbody bag that I’ve carried everyday for 8 years and it still looks new. I just bought a new one just because lol. They are really great quality products
Loved Coach since 2018.
Love coach. My favorite
I only recently came into loving coach cause of the very new designs and they’re so nice and simple. I always disliked coaches boring look from the past but did not know they revamped big time. And to know the quality holds up without overpricing like some brands, makes this brand a luxury for me

Love Coach❤
Coach has been the IT Brand. It’s my go to
I love supporting brands that offer quality at reasonable prices, my favourites are the tabby clutch and the wallet on a chain
This is why I've been getting Coach so I really hope they don't ruin it by now jacking up the prices to the point that they drop the quality :/
Listen, coach quality is the best. I had wallet and a bag that I used for 13 yrs. No damage whatsoever. I stayed always from coach for awhile b/s of the style. It all looked so outdated. However, they have stepped up their game and now all I want to get is a coach bag lol
LV is overrated. I have a few.
You have to buy from the coach department store and not the outlet. The quality is there with coach!
I love all my Coach handbags. I usually purchase them either online or from a Coach store. Even the style and design of store handbags are more interesting IMO. I love coach one of the best
Yea the leather choices + affordable prices make it totally worth it

I love the gotham line. Probably going to get the pack soon because of the leather.
i will never forget JLo in the ALL MY LOVE video with LL COOL J with her coach collection from then hooked it
love coach always well
LOVE COACH!

Awesome, will keep an eye on you :) @@perspectiveofme
Coach Overated?
Never!!!
The quality of the leather is coach bags is excellent. Superior to some top designer brands.
coach bags are durable as f**k and i'm supporting local American brand
Coach is a bit too "pop" and "young" for me,I prefer classical brands like Furla or Atellier Auguste, even so, thanks for the video❤❤❤
I used to have a very vain friend that said NO to Coach (cheap and tacky), when we shopped, he would steered me away. I have to check your channel to see if you covered Tory Burch❤
Coach ❤❤❤❤
4:14 VEGAN?
Hahahaha 😂😂😂😂
How can vegetable tanned LEATHER be a vegan option😂😂😂😂😂
I like the feel of the leather and the quality of the hardware. But I have noticed the pebbled leather feels more 'plastic' on the Cary than older designs (from a few years ago) in the same price range.
I love coach, great quality leathers and hardware, at a great price! ❤
The best!
Love me Coach👛👜💖
Nice video! Thank you....
I have two Coach Swaggers and two Tabby 26s. And i love them all!
Love Coach.. but not the discretely increasing pricing … I’m going to wait for the sale 😂
Coach really needs to do more with their guy brands. There is hardly anything compares to how much women apparel they have.
I would like to hear more about By Far, De Mellier and Wandler bags
What's the name of the bag at 0:14?
I think it's the Ergo.
Wah very beautiful 👌👍
I think the quality of non-outlet Coach bags are wondeful, but their desgins just don't do anything for me, except the Rogue bag.

Here
Funk Glens
Chanel is garbage. The leather is either calfskin, or lambskin.... Super thin, and gets easily worn out.
Ha ha ha!! What is this? A Coach ad?
Hm...really?!

Coach is whack. Dooney & Bourke Florentine is where it’s at 😎
