Hey. Good job. You're supposed to base your scalp and edges with petroleum jelly like Vaseline before you start. It prevents burning and won't tingle as fast.
I used to relax my sisters hair and its best for someone to do it because it's the only way they can do it without really touching your scalp. And yes you need to add Vaseline to THE edges. I never greased scalp because I didn't apply it there.
As a white male. Yes we can have very thick coarse wavy hair. And it feels like horse hair pretty much after blow drying. I'm thinking of giving this a try. A relaxer is for (All Person's) Not just one race. They used to have a box , exactly the same with a white girl on it too but is now only sold online. Point is its the same product. Anyone can use it. Great job man on the video review! : ) Use a product to style it.! Anyone know how long this lasts through washing?
I appreciate you taking the time to make this tutorial. I’ll be doing this same process with on my hair. I too, have wavy hair and am excited to try this. (First time I’ll ever straighten my hair) 👍🧖🏼♀️
Adorable ☺️. The plastic cap is to keep the heat inside. The heat from your head (usually you’d sit in a dryer with a plastic cap), deep conditions into your follicles which is supposed to retain, moisture.
@@phalisatumblin1249 he wanted his hair to be manageable. White people with short hair tend to have hair that isn't as bouncy as you'd think. It's straight, however it is very stiff. So he wanted his hair to be bouncy and straight. You get perms to make your hair straight like his. Don't try it.🤷🏽♀️
"I really don't know how they expect you not to get this on your scalp." EXACTLY! But idk why you used this, some smoothing products would have been fine (like Garnier sleek and shine line)
Vaseline should go around the nape of the neck and around the hairline to protect the skin. (When I used to perm, vaseline goes on the scalp too!) For touch ups please just do new growth hair. When retouching, the cream is not use on the previous permed hairs. More importantly, USE THE NEUTRALIZING SHAMPOO that came with the kit to stop the lye process. Good first time job!
Utena Proqualite straight perm is good since it doesnt burn or damages your hair a lot although It has very good condition especially the conditioner and it's made in Japan. It will make your hair shiny and smooth and not dry.

I just got my hair relaxed at a salon last week & when I was having it relaxed at the salon the hair stylist was combing my hair after she applied hair relaxer on my hair & then got my hair washed with shampoo & conditioner. the whole time i was having it done she didnt really made me wait longer than not even 10 minutes so when i got home it was a little bit straight & then the next day i come to work & i notice my natural wavy frizzy hair came right back! so either she did not do it right or I messed up by washing my hair after i got home from getting my hair relaxed, so what mightve went wrong here? now I wanna get it relaxed but im thinking of doing it myself, would it damage my hair if I relaxed it again too soon?
