What a great fabric haul. When I watched your last video of your Fabric Mart haul, I was hooked. I ordered two bundles😍. Just received the package and was so excited about everything. The yardage of each piece was very plentiful and beautiful. The knits were amazing and I also got some for swimwear...so happy that you shared this info. I could tell you were so happy with each fabric you took out of the bag. I was chuckling at you being so excited! The 1st fabric black and white I think is a pixilated snakeskin. If you have bags and bags of New Look patterns, are you sure you've showed them ALL to us? LOL I like the slip dress with the belt also. How about a thick brown leather belt to match your sandals? I have some with big buckles I like to wear with dresses. Truth be told, some are men's belts. Bet they never imagined going out on a dress! When is your next fabric bundle delivery?

I have not shown them. I'm not sure anyone is interested in them since so many people have done pattern hauls of them. I like your suggestion of a thick brown leather belt for my dress! My Joann's store is sorely lacking in patterns these days. I went to a recent sale with a list in my hands and -- would you believe? -- they had none of my pattern choices in stock. None! I sure hope the store gets back in shape soon. I think the tie makes your slip dress look more like a dress. In the heat we've been having lately though, I imagine it would be so cool and comfortable without the tie. That was a very nice bundle of fabric! Happy Sewing!!

You ended up with a lot of fabric in that bundle, can't wait to see what you use it for. I made that New Look Jumpsuit for Katie about 6 years ago and it was fiddly but she absolutely loved it. I still have the pattern but never used it since. Your slip dress is so cute but yes, much more flattering with your tie and you got the length spot on ❤. I love it when you accost the Fed Ed Guys 😂. The green rib knit may be some of the Michael Stars designer brand deadstock they have been selling. Regularly $17/yard full price. I got it in a pretty berry color. You got some great items, and it's nice that they also coordinate so well with each other. Have fun sewing them up! 😊

I made 7782 last year for Christmas from a sparkly red Pop 100% cotton knit from JoAnn's. Great pattern. Makes you feel like a figure skater - lol! Try looking in the bridal department for that loop trim. I think it's like the stuff that goes down the back of a wedding dress for lots of buttons. The green rib knit is a great color on you. And your slip dress - here's New Look for you. Yours is beautiful, but when I tried it in a quilting cotton it was a disaster! Just like yours, it was the straps that were the problem. Your charmeuse makes all the difference, and the tie is a definite winner.

I agree. The slip dress suits you better with a tie belt. I, for some reason, look better without one. It's cute. I'd love to see the jumpsuit sometime. I hope you make it up too. I think they need a slight curve to the shoulder straps to make them lie properly. I've had that problem before too with straight straps like that. What a great fabric bundle again! I'm envious.
Yes, I tried the slight curve to the shoulder straps. I sewn them in and ripped them out 3 times. Still no luck. I did wear the dress out to dinner last night with the tie. It worked out. Yeah looks like you and Fabric Mart are going to be fast friends. I just ordered some linen then I will give you a tip when you use linen for a dress cut it on the bias so it will have more drape so you have to order a little more. But if you want something cool linen and rayon are way ahead of polyester.

That last grey looks like a hogh quality performance/athletic knit. The green rib knit may be some of the Michael Stars designer brand deadstock they have been selling. Regularly $17/yard full price. I got it in a pretty berry color.

I made 7782 last year for Christmas from a sparkly red Pop 100% cotton knit from JoAnn's. Great pattern. Makes you feel like a figure skater - lol! Try looking in the bridal department for that loop trim. I think it's like the stuff that goes down the back of a wedding dress for lots of buttons.
The green rib knit is a great color on you. And your slip dress - here's New Look for you. Yours is beautiful, but when I tried it in a quilting cotton it was a disaster! Just like yours, it was the straps that were the problem. Your charmeuse makes all the difference, and the tie is a definite winner.

I agree. The slip dress suits you better with a tie belt. I, for some reason, look better without one. It's cute. I'd love to see the jumpsuit sometime. I hope you make it up too. I think they need a slight curve to the shoulder straps to make them lie properly. I've had that problem before too with straight straps like that. What a great fabric bundle again! I'm envious.
Yes, I tried the slight curve to the shoulder straps. I sewn them in and ripped them out 3 times. Still no luck. I did wear the dress out to dinner last night with the tie. It worked out. I did luck out on the 2 fabric bundles though. I'm thrilled. You should try one the next time FabricMart has $1 shipping. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@sewlovelywithgrace I think I looked into Fzbric Mart's bundles last year, but I don't think they ship to Canada at all. It's a shame because they have some pretty good fabric deals, even if I'd never be in on their $1 shipping

Yeah looks like you and Fabric Mart are going to be fast friends. I just ordered some linen then I will give you a tip when you use linen for a dress cut it on the bias so it will have more drape so you have to order a little more. But if you want something cool linen and rayon are way ahead of polyester.
