Affleck knows she will not change and he's right! She wrote an entire album for him and to him, a musical movie and countless interviews she did touting their reunion. According to Affleck, he does not like this way of being, he never has and in 2022 he should have noticed this behavior was only more prevalent and more pervasive with Lopez! Based on that alone, Lopez should be the last female he tried to woo back into his life! I think there were major issues at play, 1. He knew Lopez was a sure thing and he was right!
2. They are both unaware narcissists and their narcissism blinds them to reason and reality as each pathetically thinks they can control the other. When one of them, in this case it was Affleck, realizes Lopez will not come under control, then you have what often comes next which is devaluation leading to disengagement, which is exactly what occurred. Affleck reached a point he had enough, he devalued her and disengaged by moving out! Her narcissism is causing her to feel humiliated and like any good narcissist, she wants revenge but she knows that is not a good look for her brand so she pretends to be sweetness and light and everything nice! The question is how long can she maintain this facade, without letting it slip that she is still OBSESSED with Affleck, she wants him back and under her control and that ultimately she wants REVENGE! When one partner isn't fully committed to spending their life together or is instead taking advantage of the other’s financial resources for comfort, it can lead to scammed situations.
