I was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic prostate cancer with ( numerous) metastasis on my bones and my lymph nodes were in bad shape. When I asked my oncologist about removing my prostate, he said that I would only have “another “ side effect. I’ve had ENOUGH side effects for my liking. Every cancer patient is different. Just be aware that whatever decisions you make… you may have different outcomes. Please be careful and stay healthy. And don’t be afraid to ask questions.
My entire prostate was radiated after PC diagnosis. My main concern at age 72 was to end up with my urinary incontinence fixed. Well, that and staying alive. My gleason was 4+3+7. First we had to treat the PC with radiation as part of the PC treatment. My prostate gland was not very big. But, nearly my entire prostate was basically one big tumor. Three months after treatment concluded, my urinary symptoms are now 90 percent resolved. I am a happy man.
I received the results from my second MRI and PET PSMA test today. Both results came back clean for the second time in just over a year. My prostate is only 45 cc. Thanks to this video, I am now much better armed to go to the radiation doctors and make my case for Cyberknife treatment without ADT. A previous doctor tried to mislead me into taking ADT against my wishes under the guise of needing to reduce my "very large" prostate. Be careful out there everyone. Don't just accept what the doctor says without doing due diligence. Thanks PRCRI...
Good points. I just spend 3 hours in the tube undergoing the same scan. Will get results soon and can only hope for the best. Good thing the doc prescribed a couple Valium or I would not have been able to handle it. Break after 1.5 hours and men’s room break. Another 2 minutes in second half and I would have had an accident. Anyway, great to see you are clean. Hoping the same for myself…
I'm 47. Found out I had a 52cnm and covering seminar tubes. Started 6 cycles of xhemi yesterday was diagnosed in March and was told I was in the bad group as it has spread to parotic nodes. I got straight started on hormone therapy which was tough for first 2 weeks. And they they said they will give a 3 month for the rest of my life but they say I will die of it in time anywhere between 1 year and 5 years on a average. I'm starting nubreqa 600mm aday hormone treatment whilst on my chemo 645 doxataxul. The hormone treatment is a change but if I combine all this treatment dr said I could manage (many more years )if successful. I have had side effects of hormone treatment. Mainly night sweats, I must stress you need to work out tto combat the fatigue and over time it gets better. I dont have a Mrs so no worries. But do get movement and sensation but don't want rock the boat and your sexual desire does stop! Which ain't a bad thing as if gives more time for you. All in all its life changing but my opinion for the better, life is for us to experience and everyone needs to experience as much as possible, Stay positive. FYI psa was 55. Now 0.90 ... 3 months on today. So chemo and nubreqa added from yesterday. The Dr calls it stampede here in uk. Also known as triple therapy. Said all goes really well and I could get 10 years. Good luck to you friend..
Gregson score was 5+4 Biopsy was high grade. Will try to update this in December after chemo finished and publish my results. Hope it helps one of my fellow bro's. Surely its trumps to lose or get assassinated. I like enough of trump. Think he serves America best.
I never thought anything of the symptoms, which some would consider extreme. I have a high tolerance for older age lol. My PSA was up after a few readings over a year and the Dr (my GP)recommended MRI, which I give him credit for being up on the latest. The MRI was clear, but at 62 my prostate is 70cc which is very large for my age, or so I am told often. What the GP doesn't really know anything about was the PSAD. Understanding PSAD through your videos has really eased my mind. With a PSA of 4 to 5 and giant prostate my PSAD, is about .7, pretty low. I suggested finasteride as I learned about at this site, he agreed and after a month I do feel symptoms are somewhat better already. What amazes me how other doctors talking about BPH do not believe in even trying drugs but rely on "procedures". I don't understand that. Drugs do have side effects, yes, but in almost all cases they will go away with cessation. Once you cut, blast or laser, the result is almost always permanent. My grandpa lived to 96. He always said "them doctors will keep rubbing until they make something out of it". Unfortunately I think in many situations he is correct. THANK YOU for being different! I truly believe my treatment may very well have been more aggressive had I not found this site. For now the GP agrees we can monitor my situation without adding a urologist to my list of caregivers. Awesome.......
Tulsa Pro was not mentioned but it has the ability to shrink the prostate and/or kill cancer at the same time. So far it has worked for me as a 2 for 1 treatment on my 160cc prostate and prostate cancer.
@@schmingusss I think it’s early days for Tulsa and it’s true abilities are yet to be confirmed. So far so good for me but only time will tell and each person is unique.
Can someone please help me read this prostate report. I'm trying to find the "VOLUME" of the "4" in 3+4=7! Here's how it reads: " It involves approximately 90% of the sample. The grade four is 4 mm". Another: " It involves approximately 80% of the sample. The grade 4 is 5 mm.". I don't know what that " mm is and how I can break it down to get .. PERCENT" of the "4." Which I could understand. Anyone please.
@@leonardola9161 thanks for the reply but I still don't get it! I need to know the percentage of the volume. Of the .... 4 in 3 + 4 = 7. Like I said I don't know what the Total core size was in millimeters so I could figure out what the volume was. The biopsy did not say the size of the core which I think it should shouldn't it? Anyway thank you so much for the reply.
@@leonardola9161 Yes I know it means millimeters. "MM". But I don't know what volume it means. Of the Gleason 3 + 4 = 7. I need the Volume percent of the ...4. but thanks for your reply. But if you can help me anymore thank you.
Oh and everywhere on this report does not say how big the core is. I thought maybe if it was a 10mm core and the Gleason score was 3 + 4 = 7 with a five mm would mean 50% I'm thinking.
Can Dr. Scholz talk about prostatic artery embolization? Specifically prior to radiation for prostate cancer. The goal being to shrink the prostate and not exacerbate severe urinary urgency and frequency with the radiation.

So you only had RT? What particular treatment?
