In this seminar, Florian Krammer, Ph.D. from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, discussed antibody responses to SARS-CoV-2 and new developments in vaccine research. Dr. Krammer explores the differences between vaccine-induced and infection-induced immunity, and he discusses work showing that a hybrid immunity approach offers better protection. Dr. Krammer also highlighted efforts to develop a COVID-19 vaccine using existing infrastructure for producing flu vaccines.
