Ollie is so tall his stroke length is about the same as the shorter guys at full length. Sure his tempo is punchy and he keeps it up because for him he’s never more than 3 quarter slide or sometimes half slide yet it’s optimal for him. It would be as effective for the shorter folk.
@@askiff1415 additionally, if ollie did row full slide it would actually be less efficient, as the spoon of his oar would be so far back it would have a minimal effect on the boat speed whilst taking much more time through the water
What are the pros and cons of a short, high tempo stroke like the winner was using? Why isn't this used more?
