Don’t know about anyone else, but I found this documentary about a single farmer who wants to bring peace to the universe by sharing his rock collection very relatable. Surely this is a positive representation of the type of perception humans have of other alien life forms.
@@Joshua-tn6rs : Well, you know, some bigoted people have bigoted fetishes. It's not about the individuals to them; it's about the thrill of breaking the taboo. One minute, they're professing their love for you; next minute, they're shooting you in the face (or trying to at least). Sad!
Great. Now I want to see Thanos upset at the Dinkleburgs, Crocker's skills somehow put to use, and a Thor vs. Jorgen van Strangle throwdown. I blame you.
I really like the deconstruction angle I've seen other people bring up. Thanos's idea is supposed to be dumb but he has infinite power and the moral conviction that he's saving the universe because he knows better than everyone else. That's exactly how super heroes behave!
Has anybody ever thought that Thanos intends to keep on culling back half the population whenever he thinks it's again necessary, indefinitely? That is his main thing. He's been doing it on a smaller scale since always. Does he expect to ever get tired of it? Probably not. Universe's population bounces back in a century or two or whatever time it takes. Then Thanos gladly pulls another Thanos. What else has he got to do with eternity? He's supposed to be insane, and there's no reason why the character Thanos can't make mistakes (characters making bad choices are not "plot holes", it still, unfortunately, needs to be said). But this isn't a flaw in his plan. It's not a plan, it's a lifestyle.
I don't understand what that means. But yes, he has many alternatives to repeatedly culling half the living things everywhere, and maybe that's one of them. He has many alternatives to even having to do it the first time. Without compelling evidence, I presume that a person's past behavior is a predictor of their future behavior. Thanos always goes for wiping out half of everybody whether he really needs to or not. He's basically wired to convince himself every time that that is the only solution, and every time the universe starts to fill up, he'll do it again, until someone stops him. Probably Captain Marvel? Seems like that's who they've settled on, but I'm not current with the latest leaks and rumors and hints.
If captain marvel can beat thanos with the infinity gauntlet then she could have stopped him from culling planets anytime in the last decade. Thanos at this point is beyond anyone else in the MCU power wise. after thanos told tony they have a connection it seems like its going to be settled with a debate rather then a fight. Yeah thera are many other things that could have been done but i feel like thanos was just so tired that he wouldent want to have to snap again so would have put a safe guard in like whenever a species gets above a certain number then they get auto snapped again.
@@kyleellis9177, I've been saying this for months now. Just because Captain Marvel is the most powerful single hero to be introduced in the MCU doesn't mean she's even close to Thanos. That's what the first 15 minutes of Infinity War are FOR; thorough the killing of Loki and the beat-down of the Hulk, they're establishing that Thanos is brutal, skilled, and CANNOT BE OUTMATCHED BY FORCE. Especially with that Gauntlet on, No one else is in his class in terms of sheer power---not even Captain Marvel. They are going to beat him the way they defeated him in the source material----through GUILE, not through FORCE.
The theme of the film is "Are you willing to sacrifice what you love the most in order to do what you think is the right thing?". Thanos is presented with this choice, as is Quill when Gamora is captured; Gamora when Nebula is tortured; Scarlet Witch when Vision is about to get captured. And the opposite of course, which is "there's no fucking stopping you when you've lost everything you've ever loved, but you shoulda gone for the head."

The gauntlet isn't a magical plot device that can do anything the owner wants, it can't simply make the universe 2× times bigger but "nah, that'd ruin the joke."
I think this is a really good one. The "jack and jill moves" of these so called super-heroes are another attempt to create more myths but because it's already been rolled over (the myths I mean) several hundred times; Hollywood is just putting all the characters together to see what will happen. Here we go again. Where? Who knows? Thanks Garax (spelling?)
These stories are already myths. The comics they're based on have been part of American culture for decades. It's the primary reason they're relevant enough to make movies out of since it's existence.
