Thanks for watching! If you look elsewhere on my channel you'll see a video of the FVM Milwaukee Road Hiawatha on this layout, pulled by the streamlined 4-4-2. I also have an Overland Models brass F-7 streamlined 4-6-4 awaiting the Challenger Imports matching Afternoon Hiawatha consist, whenever that finally get's produced. But wow, 24 cars! That will be impressive! Keep me posted...
Thanks for watching! Walthers usually runs specials on their old stock so you might check there. Otherwise just google the heck out of the part numbers and see what you can find.
simply beautiful and a nice long train too. Would love to see a Milwaukee Road Hiawatha run that layout, esp thru the mountains. I have a 24 car train Rock Island "Golden State". 11 head end cars!!! and 3 E units (P2K), all cars are Walthers. Maybe by the winter I should have DCC installed in the units.
@Frabas02081912 Yes, all units are powered and each have sound. I picked up another B unit, also powered with sound, so as an A-B-B-B lash-up, it should be quite a puller!
Being an old hand at model railroading (since the early 70's) but being very NEW to the whole passenger trains set-up, what do they call the black rubber-like inserts that go between each car on the consist and are they specific to each type or maker of models? My new passenger train (all custom built including paint & name) is made up from the older Athern's "Blue Box" kit collection from the Slim-Line series. Each one is a kit I have to complete and the other question is, do they not make interiors for that collection from Athearn? Thanks in advance, Bo - The RR Preacher. BTW, Great video and awesome looking passenger train.
They are called diaphragms and are used to allow passenger and railroad staff to walk between cars without being exposed to the elements. Their appearance should match the prototype although this is not the case for all model manufacturers.
rcgrabbag Thanks for the 411, it's truly appreciated. I guess I will have to search my local hobby shop & buy what best fits the model set I have. I think finding the interior for it is going to be the hardest task in my new adventure. Again, thanks for the info.

Texas Hi-Railer
You should be able to find a lot of info on diaphragms on line. Info on how to custom build to premade parts.
BRILLIANT
We run many different road names.
Is this a public display?
It's a club layout. They do have open houses during the holiday season.
