Talking about scale models, this is one of the most interesting videos that I have seen about Union Pacific Streamliners. I am just beginning my collection and you helped me to clear some doubts. Thank you.
Beautiful ! Thanks for posting. I imported most of these UP cars in "O" scale in 1992 & 1993. Used to run a 16 car train on the Denver club in the basement of Union Station. I wish I had a Video of that train.
Waaaaa!!! I want the Domeliners back, NOWWWW!!!! Amtrak is so--ehhh! But seriously, these are superb models, my kudos to the manufacturers. Nice backdrop, too. Thanks for the look, much fun!
Thanks for your comments. I guess I erred in mentioning Walthers but it certainly isn't a commercial for them. If it was Kato, Broadway Limited, Exact Rail or any other maker I would have mentioned that as well.
Your backdrop scenery looks awesome Lee, I have the A-B-B set, all walthers. I bought the original full Cities train with A and B unit fro Train sets Now for $995.95 and then bought an additional B unit, all QSI DCC/Sound and Love Em! Great runners and they pretty much all stay in Sync with each other through the speed steps. Love your layout, Looks fantastic!.......... Ricky'
The video brings back memories of riding "City" trains a few times between Portland and the Midwest when I was a kid back in the mid-50's to early 60's. I'll search You Tube for more videos of your model railroad layout.
@MrMuddshovel Yes, it is a Proto sound unit. And fortunately its the same kind of Quantum decoder as the two Broadway Limited so their speeds were matched for consisting. The Broadway Limited's have a different grill, its a later design when E units were rebuilt. Wish Walther's would sell the grill sets they have on theirs.
My union pacific passenger I own consists of all of these cars. Plus, some of the newer Union Pacific walthers cars have come out. I also have a Union Pacific theater car. I have E9s ABBA to pull my train. What do you think?:
Hey its just a move about a model train. What's your problem? Why be so full of hate, brother. Find love and happiness, saves on the wear and tear of your psyche!!
Nice video. Yea, the "commercials"....wish they weren't so often the lead-in to good uploads, but they are. I skip them at first opportunity; small price to pay to see good videos like this one.
What gives you the idea this is commercial? I mention that its a Walthers train because model train enthusiasts like to know who made a particular train. I certainly wasn't promoting Walthers, nor am I getting any compensation from them. This is purely a personal video unassociated with any business. You need to pick a more appropriate target for your wrath.
Beautiful train my grandfather use to work those city trains when they came to Chicago over the C&NW

Thanks! Walthers made a great model, one of my favorites.

Thanks for your comments. Will the renovated Union Station have room for another layout?
No, they really tried to save the layout but it wasn't possible

@HunterR909 Well, that's what volume controls are for.
Gold train love
very nice----beautifull, just add another E-9A unit and 3 more coaches.
No Money.....just finally completed my Daylight consist from Broadway Limited. Gotta pay for that now.
and i thought i was the only poor guy!
Why would they remove this particular video??
I couldn't quite read the sign on the station platform. Did the train stop at Wittendale? Very clever name!

You've got a great collection, even that theater car. I haven't seen that one except in the real prototype.

how much would it cost to get a set like that or the great northern or super chief set?
How do you get that train set ?
Nice video. Yea, the "commercials"....wish they weren't so often the lead-in to good uploads, but they are. I skip them at first opportunity; small price to pay to see good videos like this one.
How do you even build that city
What will look good id #844
Yes, I've got one. Should make another video with it I guess.
@HunterR909 I am sorry but those words don't work in that order.
these are made by walthers
I hear G.E sounds, while I see E units.
sound is way too loud

You're looking at at least $1000 new but you might find a bargain on eBay or some such.
