I especially love that you included the parallel with Catelyn/Cersei. This is top-notch work, well done! If we look back to when they retook Winterfell, Sansa wanted Jon to take the Lord's chamber. She keeps pushing him to be better, be smarter, to take command more effectively. They disagree often, but the sentiment is there. But when Jon tells Daenerys about his birth, this girl who longs so desperately for home and family isn't happy: Daenerys recoils, she sees Jon as a threat. Even from a non-romantic standpoint, the relationship between Jon and Sansa is so much healthier than Jon's relationship with Daenerys.
Absalom Vane wow I completely agree with you. I just don’t feel like the relationship between Jon and Daenerys is good. They don’t have much chemistry and to me it feels forced. Where the one between Jon and Sansa is so natural and they really bring out the best in each other without tearing each other down. They rule together as equals and it makes them all the much more powerful and beautiful for it.
I saw this coming. They are cousins. I want daenerys dead or winterfall as a kingdom free from the seven, and i think sansa would be the better queen. She has grown from the anoing girl to the smartest leader.

I don't want them to get together romantically but I do like their relationship. I know they are cousins, and I know that the original plans in the books were for Jon and Arya to get together. I know that in this world cousins getting married is no big deal. But they weren't raised as cousins they were raised as siblings so I just can't ship them. I still really want a strong familial bond though.

I also don't think they have any chemistry together, nor are they suited to each other. I personally don't even like Dany as a character. Regardless, however it ends in the show will be vastly different from how it ends in the books and I like the books way more. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if at least one of the three of them died by the end of the series of both books and the show. Edit: What I would actually like to see happen (at least in the show) is for Dany and Jon to die. Sansa and Tyrion to remarry and become king and queen, and leave Arya to rule the north either as the queen of the north or as a warden of the north. I love Jon's character in the books but my opinion of him has gone down little by little since season 7 so I'm willing to let him die in the tv series at least. I feel like there needs to be at least a couple big character deaths for it to really feel like the early season glory of GOT. Also George's big thing is that war is terrible and everyone suffers so they need to have some serious casualties.
Reason 1 : the wedding pact between a targeryen and a stark lady. R2 : there characters are like Ned and cat father and mother of the north and the happiest couple in that world. R3 : if he is to be king he needs the north what better way to get that is through sansa making her the queen in the north .
Sansa wanted to cast the people of two fortresses out of their homes and leave them for dead in the Winter with the Night King coming just because they chose the wrong leader once. And when Jon explained that he would never do that to women and children, she didn't look even a little bit ashamed or remorseful. She's still a stupid girl who is hung up on the "I'm a Lady and better than you, bow to me!" thing. She sounds more and more like Cercei.
Are you for real? The guy that got murdered for making a good but controversial decision was Jon not Sansa. He did it again when he decided that the houses that betrayed them shouldn't be cast out. What does that show to people whose house was loyal to the Starks? That betrayal is pardoned while loyalty isn't rewarded. That's exactly what Sansa meant when she said, "You should be smarter than Robb." She cares for Jon and genuinely wishes for his good. In that scenario neither Jon nor Sansa were wrong. They were right in their own places. Also if Sansa= Cersei nothing stopped her from seizing power in Jon's absence. The Vale was in her favor, so were some of the Northern houses. If she wanted to be Queen she would already have been.
It might not have been the most pleasant decision but it was the smarter one and that was shown when some of the northern lords tried to convince Sansa to stake her claim while Jon was away and promised to back her if she did. Which she did not because she truly believes in Jon as her king. Besides, making them wards under another lord or even bouncing their asses out on the street would have been more of a mercy than some of the shows 'heroes' would have shown them, like Jon's arsonist auntie

I don't want them to get together romantically but I do like their relationship. I know they are cousins, and I know that the original plans in the books were for Jon and Arya to get together. I know that in this world cousins getting married is no big deal. But they weren't raised as cousins they were raised as siblings so I just can't ship them. I still really want a strong familial bond though.

@Gerri Wright Ingerson Oh don't get me wrong I don't want Jon and Dany together either. I agree that is still incestuous and grosses me out. I also don't think they have any chemistry together, nor are they suited to each other. I personally don't even like Dany as a character. I'm not saying I don't ship Sansa and Jon because I ship Jon and Dany, I don't ship either of them. Regardless, however it ends in the show will be vastly different from how it ends in the books and I like the books way more. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if at least one of the three of them died by the end of the series of both books and the show.
Edit: What I would actually like to see happen (at least in the show) is for Dany and Jon to die. Sansa and Tyrion to remarry and become king and queen, and leave Arya to rule the north either as the queen of the north or as a warden of the north. I love Jon's character in the books but my opinion of him has gone down little by little since season 7 so I'm willing to let him die in the tv series at least. I feel like there needs to be at least a couple big character deaths for it to really feel like the early season glory of GOT. Also George's big thing is that war is terrible and everyone suffers so they need to have some serious casualties.
Reason 1 : the wedding pact between a targeryen and a stark lady. R2 : there characters are like Ned and cat father and mother of the north and the happiest couple in that world. R3 : if he is to be king he needs the north what better way to get that is through sansa making her the queen in the north .

Sansa wanted to cast the people of two fortresses out of their homes and leave them for dead in the Winter with the Night King coming just because they chose the wrong leader once. And when Jon explained that he would never do that to women and children, she didn't look even a little bit ashamed or remorseful. She's still a stupid girl who is hung up on the "I'm a Lady and better than you, bow to me!" thing. She sounds more and more like Cercei.

Are you for real? The guy that got murdered for making a good but controversial decision was Jon not Sansa. He did it again when he decided that the houses that betrayed them shouldn't be cast out. What does that show to people whose house was loyal to the Starks? That betrayal is pardoned while loyalty isn't rewarded. That's exactly what Sansa meant when she said, "You should be smarter than Robb." She cares for Jon and genuinely wishes for his good. In that scenario neither Jon nor Sansa were wrong. They were right in their own places. Also if Sansa= Cersei nothing stopped her from seizing power in Jon's absence. The Vale was in her favor, so were some of the Northern houses. If she wanted to be Queen she would already have been.
It might not have been the most pleasant decision but it was the smarter one and that was shown when some of the northern lords tried to convince Sansa to stake her claim while Jon was away and promised to back her if she did.
Which she did not because she truly believes in Jon as her king.
Besides, making them wards under another lord or even bouncing their asses out on the street would have been more of a mercy than some of the shows 'heroes' would have shown them, like Jon's arsonist auntie
