Let's all be honest here: we love double barrel shotguns for 2 reasons mainly:
1. Doom
2. Boomstick

Antimanele104 no no that’s why indoor pale faces love double barrels I grew up shooting Double barrels they are classic and a clean design nothing is more satisfying than hearing the barrel break and two shells pop out and loading the gun is pretty satisfying you can snap it up and lock it in place

The double barrel is a great shotgun. Not very practical but fun to use. With the slug you can get some kills at rifle range.
This. I still get tons of kills on snipers that think a shotgun can't kill from range lol
But the model 10A can't fire two shots at once which can kill an elite class very easily
I got a kill on a sniper at 182 meters with the slug varient, went on a rant calling me a hacker lol
SloppyKnob 97 Oh yeah I believe you. I've got quite a few kills at the 200m mark. It's definitely a skill weapon, but with the right aim you can get some crazy distance on people. For people that haven't used it. I can see why they might think you are cheating.

I love using the 1900 with both barrles on at once. I like to use it like the super shot gun from doom. Too much fun.
I prefer the Model 1900 Slug because it makes a great close and medium range weapon while maintaning that insane damage.

The Sjorgen was always good. It had this sweetspot where it could one hit kill anyone
I think that it would be interesting for you to do this series again a month after the patch to see how much it has changed.
The 1900 is a true skill cannon, I voted for the m97 but this one is certainly an interesting occurance

The 1900 makes you feel like a War God.
That, and the 1900 is at least a balanced weapon if you use it, depending on the map and game mode. The Model 10 is for noobs and isn't even fun because there's no skill in it.

The model 10A Hunter is clearly the best shotgun. It needs a huge nerf, it is OP as hell.

I did, got 200 kills so quick. Yes, I am a ashamed. It was so easy to kill with, I couldn't help but laugh.

I am not surprised by these results, but I just wanna say that the Benet Mercie Storm is heavily underrated. It has great accuracy and well, lacks damage but we'll see how it is after the patch.

Agreed. I'm not a fan of the Hellriegel and Model 10 because it's for noobs. But I strictly use shotguns on more bigger and open maps so that's it's fair play when I get a kill. You can actually do really good with a Shotgun on a map like Sinai, you just have to have good placement and movement when trying to run up to get closer to someone. You have to use the terrain as cover as you run up on someone to kill them. It's really fun.

No matter what any scub thinks - Sjogren inertial is by far the best shotgun in the game. I dont understand why it is so underused.

Am I the only one that wants bots added to Battlefield 1??
Cause when the life spand of the game is over, and the servers aren't as populated anymore (espically dlc servers/maps).
Than I would like for there to be bots to fill those empty slots, for private servers at least.. and dice can use the npc soilders from the campaign since they seem to have similar behaviors to player controlled soilders.
(They could be used for objective game modes like operations, the npc soilders charge and defend objectives that you must capture or defend in the campaign)
I just want to be able to play BF1 in the future and be able to enjoy all the content... 😅

William Landqvist well its gonna be hard look at cod the reason they haven bots is cus the map is simple and has a 3 lane loadout so there are only 3 lanes to walk and the bots i that game are still chickens without heads now imagin batllefield giant maps no lanes big open fields u can code pads for ai to follow well u can but that gets boring and we havent even talked about vehicles yet how hard its gonna be to make ai control tanks the only reason it works in campaign is because well small map

I completely disagree. Bots will take out the competitiveness in the game.
The 1900 slug is insane, you can even pick off snipers with it with 2 hit, sure not the most ideal use of shotguns but ideal in large open space map.
I can't wait for the TTK patch tomorrow. I'm so done with getting 8 damage at point blank and OHKs at 40 meters.
Also, I can't believe that the M1917 MG is doing so well in the poll. The only thing going for it is 250 rounds, but it doesn't matter if everyone can still outgun you.

I actually don't understand how you've (or anyone for that matter) gotten a bunch of those kills. The amount of times I've been standing on top of a sniper and shoot him in the head with the 1897 or Model 10-A only to get like 43 damage and have to shoot again is unbelievable. Or the classic where I run into a room and theres a guy in the corner and my reticle is covering his whole body but my shot only does like 16 damage and obviously the guy is using the Automatico or Hellreigel. The only shotguns I've been okay with were the Sjogren and 1900 Slug.
I've had the same bad luck with the 10A, but I'm a beast with the 1900 slug lol

The Model 1900 doesn't fire both shots at the same time, it fires one slug like a quarter of a second after the 1st, leading to insane recoil with the 2nd shot
Yeah. I find that a bit silly.
It can make you drop people faster at close range though.
Cause in real life there's a fraction of a second difference due to spring lengths of the triggers. Double shot is a must and love it. Those feels ya get with big kill streaks using it though are great.
This category is whacked cause all shotguns are broken... I can shoot straight ahead with the trench gun and miss all the shots, or fire like 10 meter's away and get a 1 shot kill.

Also: It has the same damage, same range, same reload as the 1900. The only difference is slightly more spread.
Westie... the Hellfighter Trench gun is NOT purely cosmetic. I've addressed this MANY times before. The Hellfighter does MORE damage than the Backbored but it keeps the same advantages of the Backbored, it's got more damage than the Hunter but not as much as the Sweeper. The Hellfighter performs closer to the Hunter in terms of damage, but EVERY other aspect it is the same as the Backbored, which actually is not that bad at all.
I really expected the Model 10A to make it #1 too, but I can understand why the M1900 made it. The double barrel has the same range/damage as Model 10A, the ability to just fire both barrels makes it a guaranteed kill on any single target within range. The drawback is obvious, 2 shots then reload. But it's not hard to play smart and use it to GREAT effectiveness. You'd think it wouldnt be able to hold a candle to some shotguns but it's extreme damage and extremely long range even with the Factory variant make it a force to be reckoned with.

With the TTK patch the Browning A5(12G Auto) is actually pretty sweet... Especially the Extended model. I dont know if that it's gotten better or if it was just unchanged. Either way, it's been pretty solid so far.

They need to make the shots of the 1900 shotgun to be simultaneous, currentlry it isnt the case and the 2nd shot is pretty much useless
RandomPokecenter I prefer the slug variant instead, I just feel it's better at close range and medium range too and it can get two kills with two shots which is ideal
I love the double barrel slugs. It feels like an actual high powered rifle because I can pull off some real long range kills :D and it’s pretty much instant death at most ranges from the chest up lol

In my opinion the Sjögren inertial is my best shotgun. Having the potential to one shot in close range (unlike the 12g automatic) and being semi-auto really makes it stand out.
Iv been using the sjorgen inertial factory and its my favorite. Iv gotten the biggest shotgun killstreak than any other. I think its underrated

My best is 1900 slug paired with obrez so that even in long range if both slugs dont kill the enemy the obrez will one shot kill
I don't use shotgun much but when I do, I love the new double barrel shotgun. I actually like having to road after just 2 shots. Makes me feel more alert and keeps me on my toes. I just find my reactions are better. Plus, I love getting a kill, ducking behind cover to reload and try finish dead buddies friends. Especially when you dive behind cover, start to reload and an enemy rushes me and I barley have enough time to finish him. Am I alone in growing up with single player games 80s/90s. Then stumbling on online multilayer, fell in love, then find it hard to go back to single player games? I wouldn't mind if it didn't bother me but it does. I miss going on crazy story driven adventures. I just don't get that single player game buzz anymore. Slight exception to the odd game, the last of us, horizon zero dawn. I still enjoy racing a lot, driveclub, dirt rally ect. Just can't get in to story action single player.

Bah, I still think the M97 is the best. Almost the same OHK range as the Model-10 but fires much faster. Making it much more effective against multiple enemies.

Yes, but it can only kill like 2 people before reloading. One-on-one it's great, but against multiple enemies it suffers.

The model 1900 is essentially a model 10-a factory with 2 bullets. The only difference in stats is the fire rate, the 1900 has less spread increase, and the model 10 has faster spread decrease. And since the model 10 is a pump action, not even sure how much that spread is affecting it in the first place. Plus it kills in 1 shot at the same range the 1900 would so the spread really doesn't matter to begin with. Now is the 1900 a fun shotgun, absolutely, is it the "best" shotgun, not really close to the model 10 or the m97. Think it would be closer to fighting for a position against the sjogren. Just goes to show how flawed the community opinion is, just like how the farquar hill is literally a weaker Selbstlader. And is a complete downgrade to it. Or how the mondragon is a 10 bullet clip fed Selbstlader with a MUCH slower reload. Honestly have no idea how the mondragon and ESPECIALLY the farquar made it on that list, as they are weaker variants of the Selbstlader. And the farquar is just horrible compared to most everything else the medic has, its probably one of the worst medic guns.
The mondragon has a strictly faster ttk at all ranges compared to the selbstlader. Just because something doesn't fit your playstyle doesn't mean it's bad.
The farquar is easier to control.
Farquhar Hill regains Recoil quicker than Sebslader bro.

The best shotgun in the game in my opinion is the Sjögren inertial. Quick fire rate, with the capability of one shot kills. It also has 5 rounds, very comfortable iron sights and the lowest recoil in the shotgun class

Yeah, I mostly use the Sjögren nowadays. I moved to that gun since for some reason the M97 doesn't seem to register any damage after the Russian DLC most of the time. Even at barrel stuffing range, really weird.
Must say I like the Sjögren a lot though!

I love that too, but I think "sniping" is better with the 10 A Slug because you can get a magnification and that nice quick scope red dot sight

Model 1900 is the most enjoyable for guerilla fighting tactics and defending the obj's closest to enemy spawn as they stream in one at a time trying to retake it. Double barrel harvesting at its finest.
I thought for sure the 10A was gonna win, when I voted it was ahead by a decent amount. But glad to see my beloved double barrel has come out on top.

I'm really surprised, that so many people don't know that the M97 trench hunter is much better than the M.10 hunter. Have a look at the stats.
I just wanted to say I stopped playing BF1 not long after release because I became bored but with the new addons I am finding my love of the game again and these videos are incredibly helpful so thank you.

Trench shotgun is number one for me. Personally I like the faster rate of fire over the damage of the other ones. It just feels so good to use.
