This news is not remotely surprising. I worked at Jewell School and personally know the superintendent. Cory Pederson is an unqualified idiot who somehow was promoted to superintendent straight from the position of band teacher. At the beginning of his experience as interim superintendent, he quickly began ignoring staff complaints about students behavior and would not take seriously the threats that some students would give to others.
