WOW! What a simply magnificent and awesome performance and recording of this 'tour de force' masterpiece from Tournemire: I was spellbound from the very first to the last second of ebbing (custom!) reverberation. Sheer genius, Paolo, on so many counts. The videography of this upload is superb. I know the audio quality offered by RUclips is far short of the quality you will have from the original recording . . . but even so, your Viscount Ouverture (Physis) Organ is just extraordinary. Digital pipe sound generation of a 'romantic French instrument' which is voiced to perfection by you. If Aristide Cavaille-Coll could put on your headphones and listen to what you have created, he would be incredulous - and probably envious! You have reached beyond the pinnacle of excellence with your voicing and custom reverberation as you have created a virtual organ in a virtual space that I suspect exceeds being matched by anything in reality! I know you continually strive to improve what you create as 'DP' . . . but I hope you can fully appreciate what you have actually achieved: Aristide was a real 'Organ King' for sure - but you are the unsurpassed 'Digital King!' No-one has done it better than you. What I love about the pieces of 'L’orgue Mystique' is that they are largely free of the bombast which can plague some ‘late romantic’ organ works. In this 'Choral Allelujatique', there is true grandeur and exuberance - as well as an overriding impression of sensitivity, reserve, elegant expression and sincerely felt devotion, all expertly shaped by Tournemire. For me, his compositions take you to musical regions far removed from the symphonic heft of Widor or Vierne (who I also love), and in this cycle, he intentionally explores greater spiritual depths than many other French composers. Although some modern organ music can be very challenging - even for the most enthusiastic of organ aficionados - Tournemire remains almost entirely approachable and his music is often very beautiful. All I can say in conclusion is: B R A V O - and E N CO R E ! ❤
Dear Graham, I am so overwhelmed by your comment that I honestly do not know what to answer. You know well the pain that is hidden behind the gain of this organ sound. And the endless feeling of unaccomplishment 🙆🏻♂️. Thanks very much for your words, from the bottoms of my heart. They uplift my heart (and my “weak” ego)! ❤️
@@digitalpipes My words do not flatter; they speak the truth as I see it. Some people cannot imagine 'perfection' - but you can. 'Perfection' is really an illusion as everything is flawed in some way. The journey to perfection is endless, so the challenge is to find beauty in imperfection . . . and with digital pipe sound and artificial reverberation, you have created beauty of an unimaginable magnitude - a virtual instrument more perfect than the real thing. That is quite some accomplishment . . .
Dear DP, A stunning tutti and a fantastic recording of this masterpiece🤩👏👏👏👏Oh, I wish so much that I could also realize this tutti on our overture. but I don't have the skills to do that.... I enjoy your recordings all the more, they are real pearls in the RUclips ocean. Many greetings Dietmar
Thanks very much, Dietmar! I heartily appreciate your words! The voicing of my ouverture is the last experiment I carried out during the Christmas holidays when I applied the same exact procedure used to voice piped instruments. In fact, there is not so much difference, in this regard, from a DO and a PO. Both must be voiced note by note according to the space where they sounds, being it real or virtual. Such a procedure requires a reeeeeaaaallllly long time and a lot of patience but the result, finally, pays off 😃
Truly breathtaking! This is such an amazing work, and your performance of it brings it to life in a stunning way. But then I am taken aback on a whole other level - what you have achieved with the voicing of your instrument is astonishing. I can close my eyes and hear a mighty cavaille coll - fabulous!!!
Wow, wow, wow! Everything about this is magnificent! Your playing is brilliant, the organ is spectacular, and the videography is stunning! Thank you for this musical and visual treat!!!! 🎶😍🎶😊🎶
Thanks very much, Nils-Ole! 🙏🏻 Tournemire’s music definitely express something deeply mystical. I should investigate the Orgue Mystique further, I am sure there is so much more to discover and enjoy!

Fantastic! I love to listen too and to play Tournemire. All his music is “not from this earth” while he still uses accessible harmonic language.
Thanks very much, Rien! This is my first Tournemire and I hope there will be more to come! 👍🏻
