- Watching my wife react to TWICE's "Killing Voice" was a comedy goldmine. She started skeptical, arms crossed, but by the first chorus, her jaw dropped. She was fangirling hard, attempting the dance moves and hitting (or missing) high notes. By the end, she was a certified ONCE, demanding a repeat performance and TWICE posters for our living room!

FUNFACT: tzuyu is the defining Maknae.. but that term is also used interchangeably for both Tzuyu and Chaeyoung since they're born in the same year, only 2 months apart which isnt usually focused on to much in Korea culture... which is why tzuyu doesn't call chaeyoung (unnie)..
@@ability5284correct! because i remember in show like weekly idol the hosts call both of them as the maknae became they were born in the same year. Technically they are both maknae, but the youngest is still Tzuyu. 😊

One is about the group as a whole; history, achievements, etc. The other one is about the members; personality, traits, etc.

The maknae of the group is the girl you got drawn to first. Long skirt and she's also the tallest member. Her name is Tzuyu. The girl on the far right that you thought was the maknae is actually the 2nd youngest, and she's the shortest member of the group. She's Chaeyoung.

I can't believe this moment has come! Really hoping you can deep dive on the#1 best selling Kpop girl group of all time! I would mix it for MVs, maybe an early song like Cheer Up or What is Love?, their huge hit Fancy, or a recent English track either The Feels or Moonlight Sunrise.
I don't know if you've watched Sixteen Josh, if not it might be a good deep dive together. It's the survival show that formed them.
Maybe look for some BTS and Twice moments, there's a lot of memes between them in the past. You already know about the TT that BTS has done, did you know about the supposed lover's feud between Jimin and Jeongyeon? It's probably not a real thing, and it's just good fun, but there's definitely a secret story in there.

I'm editing this as I watch, but I would also like to add their Running Man episodes are AMAZING! I know you've enjoyed all the RM episodes you've come across, and Twice has been on several times.

Twice is actually what they call 3rd gen (meaning era), Kpop is on 5th now. They debuted 9 years ago, they have over 240 songs over 40 M/V's. Tzuyu (the one in the middle) is the youngest but she's only 3 months older than Chaeyoung (the one at the end) and Dahyun (next to Chaeyoung) is only 6 month's older, the two youngest debuted at 16 Dahyun was just 17. It might not hurt for your wife to do a guide (you might enjoy it too), I would recommend a helpful guide to Twice 2024 (there is a 22 but this one's much better) or the best which is called who is Twice (a dive into the living legends) by jaytzuu. Their is no wrong way to listen to Twice but remember the true magic of their discography is the B-sides Turtle (the song with the title in Korean) is a perfect example. I was living in South Korea when Twice had their debut song "Like Ohh Ahh." Which is Korean slang for like luxury or a luxurious feeling. Yall should watch these song's videos they all have English subs and are dope. Im Nayeon, "The face of Twice," had her solo debut song called Pop. Pop is great 👍

I think it's funny trying to figure out which one is the youngest because by now you both should know that looks can be deceiving. My hint would have been that the oldest member and the youngest member were standing next to each other for this performance BUT since I am so late watching this reaction, I am sure that somebody in the comments would already have listed off the names and ages. Most newbies would never be able to accurately guess which member is the oldest on their own and very few would realize the youngest. It's a GREAT dynamic this group has and it has been working for them for almost a decade now. :)

I wish you did MV's and got to know the groups before you saw their Killing Voice. Why? First, they don't perform the full songs. Second, you don't know the members at all. Third, there's some references to the MVs in this performance that you wouldn't get if you didn't see them first.
