JYP is not hated, maybe by some people, but generally he has great connections with JYP artists and groups. Out of JYP, YG, and SM, he's definitely the best founder.
Maybe just reacting to the mvs in order would be good :) still a decent amount but definitely better than reacting to all songs 😹 and if you get REALLY into Twice you can react to albums later
I recommend watching their music videos and listening the albums in order. It`s like experiencing growth with them! Been here since their survival reality show sixteen and have been Once since the beginning, and I have to say it`s been a great and emotional experience to live it all with them! Twice + Once = Lovely family.
The other Ballet Dancer in K-Pop is Kazuha, who is with Le Sserafim. She was in Ballet since the age of 5, all the way up to when she was 18 years old; 13 years, beating Mina by 2 years.
Oh, they'll be in Japan in July for their concert in Nissan Stadium in Yokohama (70k capacity concert). If you're in Japan then, then you'll experience firsthand how big they are there it's almost like a national holiday 😂
As for recommendations, i greatly enjoyed chilling by the river in Kyoto, it's the river near Pontocho Alley if that's your thing, Dotonbori in Osaka is also a must visit, incredible foods and vibes
It has already been announced that the new tour will be held at Yanmar Stadium Nagai in Osaka on July 13 (Sat.) and 14 (Sun.), and at Nissan Stadium in Yokohama on July 27 (Sat.) and 28 (Sun.), 2024. I just remembered this cuz you said ur going to japan, maybe go and see them there.😊😊😊
1:37 That's JYP himself. He's quite an odd character 😅 He is disliked by a lot of people (mostly international fans tbh), but he's also very liked and respected in the K-pop industry, and by the idols in it. Personally, I think his heart is in the right place, and while I disagree with some of his stances, and I've definitely disliked things he's done in the past, Out of the founders of YG, SM and JYP, I would say that JYP has the "goodest" company. In SIXTEEN he talked to the contestants about what he values in an idol beyond singing and dancing: Honesty, Integrity and Humility. He talked about how he used to go out and party, smoke, and talk bad about other people when he was younger, but then his mentality shifted. He realized that in order to stay in the game for a long time, you need to be the best version of yourself, so he stopped all those bad habits. Maybe more "honor" than Honesty, but I digress. He told the girls in SIXTEEN to become the best versions of themselves; "a lot of people say 'you have to be careful when you're an idol, so you don't get caught doing something bad.' I want you to become the kind of people that doesn't _need_ to be careful. If you become the best version of yourself, you won't have any bad habit to hide" (paraphrasing). He also said that it's important to remain Humble and thankful to the staff that helps you out - even the janitors and cleaning staff - and to not think you're "better" than anyone else just because you're an idol. "There are times in life where you will struggle and go through low points, and if you're humble and thankful, you will receive help from those who care about you" (also paraphrasing) Finally he said that it's important to maintain integrity and disciplin. To go and practice even if you don't want to, and practice as much as you can, because it's not a sprint, it's a marathon. "There _are_ people who can party and smoke and drink all night, and still be amazing singers the next day, they don't "have" to practice to be great at dancing. That was true when I was younger too, but the thing is: you can't do that long term." Out of "his" generation, JYP himself is one of the few people still active as an Idol, still dancing and singing actively. I'm not saying that he's "Without Fault", but you can tell that he Really cares about the idols that are training under his company, and most of the idols that have come from JYPE seem to have a good relationship with him, even after they've left the company. I'm of the opinion that he seems to be a decent man with some odd quirks, (he eats 1 or 2 times per day istead of 3, his house is basically just a room with a matress on the floor, he apparently picks 2 styles of outfits and wears them for like 6 months at a time) but I feel like some of the Hate he's getting is misguided. Sorry for the long rant, I just wanted to give my view of JYP, and it seemed like you were interested in knowing more about him.
@@oldmanhkg Thanks! I've also been a k-pop fan for a long time, so I've seen all the ups and downs of JYP and his company, and as a whole, they've consistently been the "goodest" (doing the most good for their idols) over the years. At least for having been around for as long as they have. And again, I'm not saying that JYP and his company are perfect, but they've had Very few "scandals", and compared to SM and YG, JYPE looks like a saint xD
SM, YG, and JYP have always been the three major entertainment companies in South Korea. However, by 2015, JYP's business had been declining, and Korean people described it as the only two major entertainment companies in South Korea (SM and YG). JYP Entertainment carried out reforms in 2015 and tried a new project to change the operating model of each team. The project target was TWICE. It was not all smooth sailing for TWICE when they first debuted, and their debut performance was not as good as that of their predecessors (WONDER GIRLS, MISS A). One month after their debut, they will perform charity performances continuously, going to different elementary schools, middle schools, and even universities. There will be more than a hundred people watching live, or even only a few dozen people. In January 2016, a miracle happened. The performance of the debut song on various music charts has slowly reversed from 99th to the top 10 position. Later, their two comebacks in 2016 successfully changed JYP's destiny. Once you understand the difficulties they faced back then, you will understand how strong they are today. Don't be fooled by their cute appearance, they are truly a legendary girl group.
seeing as you seem to like momo and sana a lot. i would highly recommend there sub unit stuff too. misamo (mina/sana/momo) did their own album and its amazing
I think its a good idea to watch all their mv in order. Then react to their albums, their b-sides sometimes are better than the main song. Then I highly recomend watching their shows, TTT, there you'll see their personalities.
I think you should first listen to "Eyes Wide Open" and her subsequent albums.. Afterwards, you can go to the beginning of the discography and listen to your old albums in order or by selecting among them. Because Twice's second full album, "Eyes Wide Open", is the album where the change was completed. If you listen to these albums (that is, the last 6 albums), you will get to know Twice and learn their limits and talents. You can evaluate it much better later when you listen to your old albums. And I bet if you proceed this way, you will see that you like even the songs that you normally don't listen to or don't like. If you start from the beginning of the discography, you may get bored halfway through and lose your enthusiasm (maybe) , so first ask "who is Twice as of today?" I recommend you to start with "Eyes Wide Open" and subsequent albums, which can answer your question.. (English is not my native language, I hope I could explain it, it was a bit long, sorry :)
Also, it's obviously up to you, but I would recommend watching their music videos "in order". You're gonna see kind of an evolution of their sound over time, and I think you'll get a deeper understanding of the group knowing where they came from. Plus, the first songs that move away from the more cute concept hit really hard if you've been on the "cute" side for a long time. 😁 And I don't want to presume, but I've seen a lot of people say that "they don't like cute concepts", but actually ending up liking Twice's early songs. Not a guarantee for you, of course, but I think you should give them a try at least; you _might: end up liking them more than you think. 😊
19:54 Her name is actually not pronounced "Chewy" in Mandarin, her native language, nor in Korean. However, English speakers find it very difficult to pronounce her name, so they call her by a similar pronunciation, "Chewy".🤣🤣
yeah, I think it's because the actual spelling is 子瑜, which the british translated as "Tzu-yu", and koreans translated as "jjeu-wi" The actual pronunciation in chinese is closer to /zi-yü/
If you are not a fan of bubblegum pop (I'm not either) I definitely wouldn't recommend you to react to their music in order of release because their early music focused a lot on that kind of pop. I recommend you react to their newest stuff, since they are a lot more mature (thats how I fell in love with them) and then go back on the early stuff. When you are still getting to know them, listening to the music you'll actually like will help, and when you get to the bubblegum pop you might feel different about it because you already like and know them, at least that's how it worked for me
24:36 yes! reacting in order is the best way to witness their evolution and growth
JYP is not hated, maybe by some people, but generally he has great connections with JYP artists and groups. Out of JYP, YG, and SM, he's definitely the best founder.
He's the only one. The other 2 are rubbish
4:06 that’s because they usually go by age order! so you’ll see them from oldest to youngest
Maybe just reacting to the mvs in order would be good :) still a decent amount but definitely better than reacting to all songs 😹 and if you get REALLY into Twice you can react to albums later

The best way to memorize the J-line in Twice is to remember MISAMO (MIna, SAna, MOmo). MiSaMo.

You should react to ther Dingo Killing Voice, so you can get a glimpse of their music evolution.
26:12 Yes I would definitely recommend reacting to their songs in order. Seeing them grow as a group and mature is a really amazing experience
14:57 it’s kazuha! and she’s also japanese haha
