My close friend walked in front of a semi about two years ago, I always wondered how traumatized the driver was. Heard from a friend of mine who was a firefighter on the scene that they had to shovel his remains off the road... probably fucked that guy up for life
One time my grandparents were doing yard work and (we live in a very rural area) there was a car wreck like 70 feet away from us at a corner, and 3 people died and 1 lived... the saddest part was that the kids of one of the mothers found out because they saw it on Facebook :(
I think the thing is that when we think about it (and it hasn't happened to us) we think we could just brush it off like it's nothing but when it actually happens it's very traumatized, usually since that was a whole nother person, they had thoughts and feelings and probably had loved ones, they could have been do nice to the people around them. Well at one point, the first story of the guy breaking it could have been the result of something else (trauma, drugs, etc.) I don't completely understand why either but it's just kinda my little theory
The guy who died from seizing and hitting his head really got to me. I was at a neighbor's house chilling one day and started feeling a seizure coming on. I told my neighbor and they told me to go home because they didn't want to deal with the police and ambulance. I'm in an electric wheelchair. I managed to get to the sidewalk that led to my ramp to get to my apartment when the seizure came. My chair fell over and wound up on top of me as I laid in the middle of the road seizing. Thank God my other neighbors saw and called an ambulance. That could have been so much worse. I haven't gone to that neighbor's house since.
The third one about ER feels extremely uncomfortable. You just move guy over an obstacle and then you're all of a sudden technically guilty of his death.
When my brother and I were retrieving a briefcase with a mysterious glowing interior from an apartment full of lowlife roustabouts, we brought one of them, Marvin, with us (a friend of my brother). As we drove away, we had a discussion on Divine Intervention. When I asked Marvin about it he said he didn’t even have an opinion. I turned around and said “Well you gotta have an opinion-“ I accidentally shot Marvin right in the face and splattered his blood, brain, and skull fragments all over the car. We went to our friend Jimmy’s in Toluca Lake, and hid the car in his garage. We then called our boss, and he sent “The Wolf” to help us clean the car, hide the body in the trunk, and then we took the car to “Monster Joe’s Truck and Tow”. We got rid of the corpse and the car.
6:15 this is why don’t claim someone as the father when you KNOW they might not be. Hell, don’t cheat too. It could end up in bad shit like this where you caused someones death.
5:00 is the most obvious r/thathappened. If he was 17, killed a guy even in self-defense he would be charged. He even mentioned he wasn't aloud to carry but still did.
3:39 "I think it's part of his coping mechanism" no. That's exactly that happened. He should have no reason to feel responsible for her death. He did his part and should not be expected to pay for it for the rest of his life as this comment implied.
My dad used to be a truck driver. One day he got a job that entailed 3 drivers. They would all follow each other in a line. Well, one of the drivers asks if my dad would like to lead the team. My dad politely passes and says he did it on the last job. So the driver that asked takes the lead position. Well, my dad is following directly behind him and as they go through their first intersection of the day, an suv driving perpendicular to the lead truck and smahes into the trailer and the bottom half flies out the other side. It stopped not too far from my dad. He was the first to get to the scene. Lady who had been driving had a medical episode which caused her car to speed up. Upon impact the trailer had sheared everything in the car from the shoulders, up. You can imagine what my dad found in the seat. The most frightening part, was there were childrens belongings scattered all throughout the car and littering the road. While my dad kept people away from the ghastly scene, everyone else searched for the kids. The lead driver had no idea anyone had hit him, the only evidence he had was when he looked in the rear view, just as the dust cloud was settling. He started freaking out, and my dad kept him from seeing the mess and told him there was nothing he could do for her. Well almost 2 hours later, the police are finally able to get a hold of someone and the good news arrives. The children had just been dropped off at her sisters house. There were no children in the car. My dad still has issues with the mess he saw and hes the toughest guy I know. We never bring it up because the therapy took longer than we had hoped and no one wants to go through that again. The lead driver was over it after about a good year. But my dad still thinks about how it could have been his truck in the intersection that day. I think the fact that he has done so many good things that are pretty amazing, help to balance that out. So let that be a lesson to you, do really good things so that when something really bad happens, you will be able to live with yourself at night.
Shoot someone for defending yourself? Get arrested 20 minutes later. Cop kills someone in public on purpose? Do nothing and only arrest many days later after chaos insues
This isn’t my story, but an old friend of my husband’s accidentally killed their neighbor. He bought and sold drugs (didn’t make them himself) and the neighbor purchased some off of him. There was fentanyl in it so he overdosed and died. The dealer was charged, but he didn’t expect anyone to die from the drugs being laced. Personally, I feel all drug dealers are killers. But I feel bad for this guy because it wasn’t the drug itself that killed anyone, it was the additional substance.
I'm on the psychopathy spectrum, but I could never harm or kill an animal no matter what. (I'm 14 btw) but I don't think I would feel anything if I killed someone. But I guess it depends on the person. If I feel empathy for them, then I wouldn't hurt them. And I wouldn't hurt a baby or a toddler. If they were a bad person, I wouldn't think twice in a dangerous situation. Even if it was a kid and they were hurting people (like in school shootings) then I could still do it. But I'm glad to say I've never hurt someone just for the fun of it. I know it's wrong. I think that it's mostly to do with the fact I struggled with self harm not so long ago, and when it was really bad I used to watch gore videos. They never made me feel disgusted or anything. Just nothing. I know I'm a bad person. I feel so sorry for everyone in this video. They must feel so awful. I guess I'm quite lucky.
AAA's are fucked. My moms first patient after she finished resident was a AAA and she ruptured it when she transferred him to a hospital bed from the stretcher. They called her the angel of death for the rest of her career.
Am I weird for not being overly worried seeing people dying? I've seen multiple deaths in front of me since around 10, from people being ran over, car crashes, gunshots, heart attack (i had to carry the poor lad to the hospital with my dad) and cancer. Not being edgy or anything else, but I feel that death is something that one should be mentally prepared to live, i always felt it natural. Even if you take part on the killing, it's as human as it can be.
not me but a riding friend of mine, he challenged some motorcyclist for a race, one of them was a newbie prob 17 y'o, the inexperienced rider then low sided and slides into oncoming traffic he died crushed by a truck fortunately enough for him and his friend that there were no cctv and no eye witness beside the truck driver who didn't know what they were doing.
First post: seems like you made the right call. You were unwillingly thrust into a situation where you had done nothing wrong and had to choose between (1) protecting yourself and your sister, or (2) possibly being murdered. You were forced to kill in self-defence, while the attacker otherwise may well have murdered your parents' children in cold blood - considered that way, you unquestionably did the right thing. Good for you on your marriage and job, and I hope your life does not remain completely tainted by that horrible event.
The last story: "MAYBE there was something we could have done to help him" (after a man bangs on the front door shouting for help). Hey, here's a radical idea........ HOW ABOUT CALLING THE POLICE???

Oh no... when I was about 11 or 12 I was chasing a little skink (lizard) down the driveway trying to catch it. It was really fast. I lunged forward with my arm out and I smooshed it all over the pavement. Its guts were out and everything. I felt so horrible, ending this innocent life, while just trying to have fun. It didn’t seriously affect me but I still feel terrible when I think about it.

FBI : I n t E r e s t I n g
First OP doesn't have blood on his hands. It was self defense.
I didn’t think that reddit would come so far that people would start confessing their accidental homocides
Wait wait, but does /u/jastangl have a picture somewhere?
Woah
This sounds so fake
Killing someone accidentally is worse mentally than doing it on purpose.
*”can I kill him?”*
The only thing i would feel after shooting a gun to kill someone is recoil.
My most horrible crime was killing my sister’s Minecraft parrot. My punishment was 15 minutes of getting repeatedly killed by her.
Oops lmao
If someone steps on my property with intentions to steal my shit or hurt my family, im making him suffer
First story I thought he killed his sister
dang i just wanna give the first person a hug
And After all the "killers" for self defense that had terrible depression we have murders and mass shoters
Yes well there are good and bad people out there. Their remorse separates them
Hailey I feel no remorse does that make me a bad person
Shoot someone for defending yourself? Get arrested 20 minutes later. Cop kills someone in public on purpose? Do nothing and only arrest many days later after chaos insues
I wouldn’t be able to deal if I did that. I can’t even accidentally kill someone in the sims and not feel like shit
Horrible things happened but this chill music changes the mood😂
The one with the baseball…god that’s so sad.
Bruh the first on had me thinking he shot his sister
HAHAHA damn-
why did I laugh
Not today, Mr FBI agent
How I’m dealing with it: playing the events over and over of how I could have prevented it 😞
Carole Baskin: *sweats nervously*
*Why do i am not sorry for those people who died*
Murdering and Killing are two different things. Killing someone in cold blood is murder. Killing someone in self defense is killing.
The baseball one hurt
Am I weird for not being overly worried seeing people dying? I've seen multiple deaths in front of me since around 10, from people being ran over, car crashes, gunshots, heart attack (i had to carry the poor lad to the hospital with my dad) and cancer. Not being edgy or anything else, but I feel that death is something that one should be mentally prepared to live, i always felt it natural. Even if you take part on the killing, it's as human as it can be.
Anyone know why these Reddit's are from 6 years ago
Previously curated content being curated again, given a similar title, and uploaded to be monetized without actually having to do any work.
Because they where typed 6 years ago
It’s your right, if a stranger is trespassing on your property and you feel threatened then you have every right.
not me but a riding friend of mine, he challenged some motorcyclist for a race, one of them was a newbie prob 17 y'o, the inexperienced rider then low sided and slides into oncoming traffic he died crushed by a truck fortunately enough for him and his friend that there were no cctv and no eye witness beside the truck driver who didn't know what they were doing.

that’s rough buddy
First post: seems like you made the right call. You were unwillingly thrust into a situation where you had done nothing wrong and had to choose between (1) protecting yourself and your sister, or (2) possibly being murdered. You were forced to kill in self-defence, while the attacker otherwise may well have murdered your parents' children in cold blood - considered that way, you unquestionably did the right thing. Good for you on your marriage and job, and I hope your life does not remain completely tainted by that horrible event.
If i was in any of these situations its a "its either me or him" situation bro,and i know who its gonna be in the end
The last story: "MAYBE there was something we could have done to help him" (after a man bangs on the front door shouting for help). Hey, here's a radical idea........ HOW ABOUT CALLING THE POLICE???
In the first story the op was just defending himself and his little sister
killing a home invader is 1: Not an accident, and 2: Objective moral good.
Killing is causing the death on purpose and or planned. The first story was just self defense.
I feel sorry for the people who can't get over the fact they killed someone with no intention of doing it
Oh no... when I was about 11 or 12 I was chasing a little skink (lizard) down the driveway trying to catch it. It was really fast. I lunged forward with my arm out and I smooshed it all over the pavement. Its guts were out and everything.
I felt so horrible, ending this innocent life, while just trying to have fun. It didn’t seriously affect me but I still feel terrible when I think about it.
Honestly I don’t think a lot of these people need to feel guilty.
No, but the fact that they still do proves they are decent people. No matter how deserved someone's death is, if you don't feel bad after killing them then there is something wrong with you.
@@13vatra Okay buddy
@@13vatra that's wrong on many levels but continue with your false moral highground
@@RizzRoss9001 why respond twice? There's an edit button. Responding twice just makes you look desperate.
@@RizzRoss9001 no please, prove me wrong. Do tell how you can choose to end a person's existence without feeling the weight of that decision.
I have a picture somewhere
I accidently killed someone...
*my minecraft dog*
This thread has made me realize I’m a terrible person half of these aren’t sad to me lol 😂
Rip to 91 yo❤️
What I'm about to say is kind of f***** up but if I kill somebody for any reason I wouldn't shed one tear or have any regret
