Equating 'somehow palpatine returned' with xehanort returning because his heartless and his nobody were defeated is a bit silly. Yknow. Maybe its cuz i played literally every single kingdom hearts game and understand thr story so well.
    But im still invested into the story myself.
    Also basically kingdom hearts 3 explains it with some fluff text that. A lot of things changed Before during and after the keyblade war. Including how time works causing things like Xehanorts plan to bring his 13 selves to make him no longer just pure darkness, he was actually the first nobody after being stuck in between heartless and and having full control over himself
    himself. Basically it was a plot device to slow down his plan for this epic finale.
    The real reason why this story gets confusing is because birth by sleep is instead of being the second game to explain things they have that game comr after the second making things really difficult to understand.
    Basically. Sora gave up his life at the end of the third game to ensure that his friends will never have too worry about kingdom hearts again.
    So in the 4th game sora is basically dead.

    • @BenKii
      @BenKii  Месяц назад

      @@pakoswine4560 You actually just reminded me of a theory I had for the 4th game. If the world Sora is in is basically the afterlife but it also is supposed to represent Versus XIII (renamed Verum Rex) then perhaps KH4 will explore other unfinished works of fiction. Imagine with the Disney license we may get to explore cancelled properties like Star Wars 1313. I bet there's a lot others but can't think of any at the moment.

    • @pakoswine4560
      @pakoswine4560 Месяц назад +1

      @BenKii very possible. This world is apparently supposed to represent our world a lot more and it's possible we might see them shift from cartoon worlds to a more live action Disney kind of thing. So star wars could definitely be on there

      @BenKii Also, I will say this as well, I do think they care a very great deal for the story. I genuinely think if they didn't it would of just ended with 3. Kingdom hearts isn't exactly their most money making game and if they didn't care about it they could of definitely ended the series with 3 and moved on.
      But tbf as well. There is really only one story writer. Because he sets a vision Nomura is kind of like that kid on Adderall who loves story telling he's a bit all over the place but if you listen well and let him explain it fully, it's a really damn good story imo

  • @KinodeVGM

    It does seem to me like you just didn't play the side games... if you're confused about Unversed not being Heartless, to start.
    Of course reading stuff up on the wikis will keep the stories confusing. KH3 is a conclusion to all of them, not just 1 and 2, so it mostly made sense to those who followed them.
    I will give you the fact that the writing is not the best, when it comes to the "Power of Waking". It's definitely bad writing and confusing, but a lot of the stuff you mentioned shouldn't be a huge issue to understand if you've followed the series

    It seems that most of your issues with the game story come not because of it's actual flaws (or at least what I feel they actually are) but from not having followed the saga story. It that regard if someone did know the story they would see that things actually make sense and don't come from no when since it is all a continuation of what's been presented and hinted for along the years wich i guess that even for the sumaries it isn't enough for someone who didn't. It that regard my main problem with the story (and for many others for what i have seen) is actually the oposite, it feels like they simplified the game story a lot wether it is to cater to the people who weren't that invested and thus making it that things are presented way to simple, that instead of solving the argument threaths that have been forming for years in the best way posible they get done in the quickest, there are lots of painfull exposition about things that were already known, there are hardly new story elements and those here are mostly hardly developed further etc.....
    And while the dlc is mostly a recap of what happend i wouldn't say it is lazy, yeah it could have been better but the data fights are great and trust me that if someone is really invested in the saga they would know how much actual care and work where done into these fights, being among the best fights of the series and fixing most problems the previous enemies had being a huge step fordwars, same with the secret episode

I won't deny that the story is nearly nonsensical, but all of the plot points from unversed, xehanorts revival, replica riku, roxas and xion's revivals, and the sleeping worlds were all pulled from the other games in the franchise. I won't argue that they are written nor incorporated well, but to say the game is contradicting itself is incorrect. Comparing xehanorts revival to Palpatine's is also invalid as an attempt was at least made. You then complain that the game is too easy on normal mode (a mode intended to be easy) but is too difficult on the dlc superbosses. That's the point. Those are the bosses that test your mastery of the game. You also say that remind is the laziest dlc ever. It's fine to dislike it, but it's hard to call if lazy when it improves combat and offers 15 new super bosses. They are technically repeats of the kh2 data battles, but approaching them with the kh3 engine makes the fights significantly different. The ability to play as non-sora characters was also highly requested before the game's launch and it delivered on that. Could it have been more? Sure, but remind is the most replayed section of the game. I certainly agree that it should have at least been free dlc, but it isn't lazy dlc. Everything else you said is pretty valid. Especially the final fantasy arguments.
