- Legendary comedic actress (and veteran player of the original "Password") Betty White and radio/television host Adam Carolla are the celebrity contestants participating on MILLION DOLLAR PASSWORD.
In round one, Albany Irvin from Shreveport, La., and Justin Root of Canton, Ohio, compete for the $1 million prize. In round two, Sebastian Davis from Nashville, Tenn., and Laura Howard from Houston, compete for the $1 million prize.

No one can touch Betty in playing "Password." She was once asked why this version was canceled so soon, and her answer was that Americans don't read anymore. They don't know the language anymore, so how can they love a show that -- even indirectly -- points out their educational shortcomings? She was so right!
Our educational shortcomings are probably 20 times worse than 10 years ago, and it's going to be 100 times worse 10 years from now.

Adam Huber - Even more amazing than living 99 years, is how sharp she was at 87 and continued to be until her passing. She’s playing a fast-paced, word association game with a million dollars on the line and she’s as sharp as anyone 60 years younger than her. Regis, who was probably north of 80 himself, was also remarkable hosting a show that most people his age would be hard-pressed to even sit in the audience. RIP beautiful Betty and rockin’ Regis.
Not like she used to, but definitely great for her age. She got flustered easily, but that's to be expected at her age
That young man, Justin, was truly in awe of Betty, and what a great player! You could tell that his admiration for Betty was so genuine. It's a memory he'll never, ever forget.

No, I'm talking about the young guy that Betty was partnering with on the show. In the beginning he mentioned that ever since he was a boy, he wanted to play Password with Betty. I'm not talking about Adam Carolla. The young man is the one who said (as per Morgan Glasberg), "You're sorry? I have 25 thousand dollars!"

I think the only thing was she had got a bit hard of hearing. Literally the only "old person" thing I ever noticed about her. Was always pretty much on top of it even well into her 90's.
I Liked it when they showed the split screen of allen and betty when they first were married. When she seen allen she blew a kiss to the picture of allen. that made me want to cry when she saw the picture of allen.

I actually have the Password episode where Alan Ludden said that.. A few years ago .. a DVD box set of the classic Password came out and I bought it.. Was awesome! .. Sidenote: Even after passing Betty White continues to bring a smile to my face with these videos..
Betty had such a quick wit. She was so comedic. If some of the contestants would have spoken louder and clearer Betty would have gotten them. She was such a gem. The definition of a true Legend. ❤️

Clip is so touching. I'm also glad they set the record straight in that that was right after they got married. Many have used it to be when they first met on Password even in a tribute to her. To me its' more poignant that it is right after they were married and literally going home to their NY home for the first time after the show.

But he acted like a real ass every time she got an answer wrong. That look he got on his face every time…. Made me wanna slap him. I think he made her feel bad every time he gave her that disappointed look.

Aired 7 years ago yet I found myself watching it nd enjoying it during lockdown nd Covid-19 time.
What a great contestant as Justin Root - his story , his admiration for Betty White and after losing $25,000 he said with sincerity- when she said. Sorry - he said why I have 25k what a true gentleman and he got to live his long time dream - my friends it does not get any better than that - great job Justin! You are the man!

This show is growing on me. it was great that Betty white could this show. she's a Password legend and the show has been such an intergal part of her life that it's only fitting she be on it. so glad i got to watch this.
Check out the original 1960's episodes including the one they showed. It's great. Tattletales is awesome too.
Betty had some trouble hearing clues when receiving but boy, no one was better at giving clues than she was.

Betty reminds me of my own Grandma Ora Brown- so sweet, loving, smart and compassionate. My new, 7 month long marriage has been so difficult; but seeing Betty and remembering how my own Grandma operated- I just know I can make my marriage work. Life is too short for anger and squabbles- and I have Grandma and Betty to show me how to behave. Rest in peace, Betty, the Lord welcomes you home, my dear girl.
