There is a lot of conflicting information I'm hoping you can clarify. A youtuber by the name BirdTricks has over 300K subscribers and she insists that you interact with your bird the minute they arrive home. To not leave them alone in the cage because they will choose that place as a sign of refuge and not bond with you. What is the right answer? I like to think your channel has the correct information because you have so many budgies. When I was little I had a budgie and I did not follow this. I played with him even when he was scared until he chose to accept me. Now that I'm an adult I have another budgie and I'm trying to properly train it every day with some millet. What is the true answer?

Love your channel, I've had budgies for 60 years, yes, my father bought me one when I was only 3 years old, it's now been 3 years since my last budgie past away, your videos are so so true to fact with my experiences ❤️ I remember vividly that when I wore a baseball cap on my head, the budgies had a panic mode...You're so right, they are very in tune with your clothing. I rescued a budgie 1 month ago - I had no time to prepare for anything. Had to learn on the spot. She is still living with me but still very fearful of everything.

I sing to my Popcorn & Angel every night and put a light towel on top of their cage and have a nightlight on for them and shut off all the lights.
And in the morning, I play peek-a-boo with them and take the towel off their cage.
They love our routine every night and every morning.😁🕊️🕊️

Wow! 10 years?? I bought 2 and one died, then we had to get other 2 to give her company. Days later she also died. Now i am left with 2 and scared i might loose them 😢. Any tips?
@@ayeshazulfi1536 I would definitely take them to an avian vet to have a general check up, see if there's any underlying or silent disease. Other than that, just give them plenty of vegetable, fruits, pallets and of course, love!

I am in the process of introducing it with millet Spray(Hand=food)
I have 2 rescue budgies that have never really become comfortable in our home.
We now have a rescue cat, male, 3 months old. He’s an aggressive little kitty.
He loves to jump on the bird cage.
We have tried 5 or 6 different things. We have 21 ft ceilings so letting them be free is not an option, sadly.

Are you crazy? Don't let the cat near the bird cage! It's a natural predator for birds, there's no way that the budgies will feel safe in such environment... Feel really bad for them...

I bought 2 budgies a while ago and they were happier with us because they were cramped in a small cage way under minimum requirement for 1 budgie and there were at least 20 others

I found one being attacked by a cat so I have had zero planning in taking care of mine and have already made several mistakes. I had it without a cage for the first two days in my house and went straight into training it. It already climbs onto my hand and shoulder, but it’s clearly still nervous.
I got a cage and am attempting to change my entire relationship by having little physical interaction. I’m just attempting to let it calm and adjust, but I’ve already put it in a position of stress, not knowing any better.
Do I have a chance to start over or do you think I may have to take a different approach due to my bad start? It seems to trust me a little, but is fairly anxious.

I have a problem,My budgie laid eggs,The mother seems to not to be careful to her eggs.She through her eggs out from its rooms,I thought the eggs are infertile that's why she trough her eggs but actually no the egg are very perfect.She does not groom her eggs so im think about to groom the eggs by my self. Is there any easy way to groom budgie eggs by ourself?

That is the best. Cats are hunters. No way to breed that out. That is their nature.
I had cats...even a 3 legged one (dog bite. $2500 vet bill for amputation).
Cats are cool but really cats and birds don’t mix. You are shooting dice having both. Need a lotta of space to separate them and always on your guard.
I own a budgie now. Had them in the past. Really sweet cute smart birds.

hello... um so my budgie cage has 3 generations, but there is a problem in their breeding time, not exactly but, my female budgies do lay eggs but when they do, like normal they lay like around 3 or more, but in the end, if there are 4 born, 1 would definitely die by getting crushed, what should i do?
Do you have a nest box for them? You need a nest box with a concave in the wooden floor to keep the eggs together. Mother birds may look rough, but they know what they are doing, don't worry. Please remember, father feeding babies is essential.
Hello guys, if i can please ask you a question, i have a budgie that has some tipe of bad dreams.
Last night for example he just got out of its cage and was flying in the room..in the dark making scared sounds, i got the lights on but still was dificult to catch him and calm him down. What could be the reason for this? please help. During the day he is very friendly.
Maybe provide a night light and close the cage over night

Don't try and catch your budgie, let it land and talk gently to it, even leave it out all night if possible. It's always good to let your budgie make its own way to its cage at bedtime. Going home as night approaches is an instinct for budgies, that's how free ranging budgies work. Our late Queen free ranged her budgies, from the time she got them in 1936 to the present day. Let your birds follow their instincts and they will settle quickly.

man i had a same blue coloured budgie just like in thumbnail he just flew away accidentally 4 days ago when i was...cleaning his cage and give bath to them...what mistake i have done is i didnt make them soakingly wet and the movement the door got open at a gap of 2 fingers he flew away...

So i got my budgies on 6 Dec 2021...
Owner said me they are 3 months old..i keep them played with them...i tamed the blue one....we all was living happy life...what happened 3 days ago i took them for a bath and the blue one flew away...
His partner was so terrified and i was crying so badly that one can hear...after 3 hours he came to one of the nearby trees i lured him called him but he Just ignored me and flew away....
Actually, what really happened last month i lost my grandmother and i was really busy going there that took 15 to 16 days in july i was just coming home for changing their food and water...and after coming from there i got sick that took 2 weeks of August and after that i took some exams..and i got busy studying but i was continuously reminding myself that i have to let them fly around house i have to give them time to fly...but i procrastinate...during that time my yellow budgie got feather cysts she still have it on her wing i was trying to cure it my self as there is no vet available i got some medicines form store...and my blue budgie got really bored as his friend was sick and not playing with him too so he got lonely and was trying to get out of that cage every time i was trying to change food he was trying to escape...even my dad noticed this...then 3 days ago i just planned to give them a nice bath...and clean there cage as i was filling better with my sickness....he manage to fly form a gap of 2 fingers...i just shut that door and chased him but i cant even got the clue that where he was..in which direction he flew he then came one of the nearby tree.. i called him and showed him his partner i lured him with food he was eating that mango tree leaves😢 and just completely ignored us he sat there for a while and then flew away even if i tried to catch him... that's the last time i saw my baby boy...i was so confused and so overwhelmed i saw him landing on nearby tree too but by the time i reached there he was not there...and no one saw him in that premises...
I'm now taking care of his friend till she survives that cysts...and i will end my journey of buying the another budgie pair as im a very sensitive person i get so sad instantly if i lose someone that is very close to me.....
I once bought them to care for them i decorated there home i bought toys and food... their life took turn miserablely one flew away may be died and the other one is struggling...i just cant see them like that...
Once that cage filled with so talkative, chattering and dancing budgie suddenly got silent....that silence is so wierd that my father mother and sister and me cant even eating Properly...i dont think his friend will bear so much pain and grive at the same time...im trying to heal her but that poor baby...i just cant see her like that...tho i have a ringneck parrot he is also missing his blue friend...he also keeps entertaining her and share the food with her...i will never own birds in my remaining life it's so hard to see them suffer like this...also they need to be in flock we cant become their flock...we just cant..they should fly with their own kind no matter how good owner you are you will end up doing mistake and kill them unintentionally...
If you read it till here please try to give me a mental support that im just thinking that my life is incomplete without them....and my heart is aching..
After keeping them 3 years together i think their life comes to an end..
I think she will survive a month or two... that's it..
