Amazing, Nick, as always!! What a great concept: get ordinary people and push their instincts and see where it goes. This guy is a good sport and fast learner. But each lesson you give us Nick, gives us just a tiny bit more edge and confidence that we don't have to be victims. Thanks!!
I really liked this video, it shows that you can win a fight against a person who is bigger than you. All tho this guy that gets attacked is pretty damn ripped, but this attacker in the video is big. :D
Wooow ! I am mighty impressed how dynamic this guy was ,, incredible torque,!! He twisted and rolled the big guy like an hay sack. Awesome reaction speed.
Tx for sharing, now we know, that the concept of striking is also important and using hips motion to make attacker lost balance, great video,tx for sharing
Hey Nick, I know you do a lot of adult self-defense videos. But could you do some children's self-defense videos (e.g. how to avoid abductions, verbal & physical bully defense in schools etc.)? I teach kids as well as adults and I'm always looking for new bully defense moves. Thanks!
+TWoN Ummm.. The Clinch and Balance is a form of Grappling. In Jujitsu you are taught focus balance and Clinches are actually used in more Grapple Based Martial Arts anyways. Judo uses some of the same Ideas
When Fabien asked if he could strike, Nick said yes & his eyes lit up, like hell yeah!! Wish you were in my area nick seriously, Vasil wouldn't stand a chance against me. I have confidence in my skills, no ego or nothing, just got confidence in knowing what to do. Watching your videos has trained me to be more alert & know more about trapping with striking then muscling & grappling like Fabien did in the beginning. That guy rocked though, bet Vasil wasn't expecting that...lol!! Poor guy does need pants though.
I meant nothing disrespectful to Vasil, I only meant it as training, but since your such a coward behind the keyboard, trolling shit, guess your the bitch ass!
No hate or anything, but in a previous video, you were talking to a person, about knife self defense and said Vasil was in prison, then proceeded to say, you were just kidding. I am a little confused. The reason why, the spider tattoo on his right elbow, is a prison tattoo. It basically represents the person was trapped in a spider web (trapped inside a prison). was he in prison, or not?
Great videos Nick, cheers from Greece! What makes me sad in all these videos is the rest of the people on the park, not giving a fuck about what's going on. What if this was a real attack scenario?Maybe we trully are alone in acts of defence... Ευχαριστώ πολύ για τις συμβουλές σου, σου εύχομαι τα καλύτερα!
You should get this guy up :D If he has a standing fighting stance, it'll be interesting to see that, at least once. THis guy did great. With a bit more training I think he could be a self defence/killing machine lol
I like how he asked to see the knife incase it was real and they literally was joking and tried to kill him lol he has a brain as everyone else just was like ok
If you keep training juijitsu, muay thai, karate and mastered all of it you will become a killing machine XD. Juijitsu for close quarter, muay thai for punch and knee, karate for a good kick.
Guy: Do you know how to defend yourself from a stabbing attack/ knife gonna kill ya? Me: I have a phobia of Knives.. Guy: Oh.. Okay. Lemme teach ya though. Me: Okie... *GETS EXTREMELY NERVOUS*
Nick thanks a lot bro u gave a lot of answer that I was looking about it,but how can my bjj would help me ?? And should I take the fight to the ground and finish it with submission ?? And how to be a good street fighter ?? I mean how i can be ready always and do a good react ,,, I saw a lot of videos and honestly they gave me a lot of confidence !!!! Pls answer
Nick, as someone who advocates the usage of open handed strikes, what is your opinion on conditioning your palms by striking wood or by any other method?
yes this guy is strong and and good defense ...... Iam French black belt of judo d ont forget for knive attack is good to too learn some Aikido this help you very much the must is Boran Muay Thai this is defastating self defence is OLD muay thai practising in norht of Thailand and lLaos
I assume it's used for when you're trying to push the attacker away, as an open hand has a larger surface area than a fist which would make the process easier. But when striking, using a fist does more damage.
Isabelle gulbransen Fist is dangerous and you can hurt yourself a hell of a lot more than your attacker. With open hand you have more leverage, options like gouging eyes or scratching, ability to grab, etc. While fist has the potential to do more damage, in a street fight when your knuckles break and the guy still isn't knocked out, you're fighting a 1 handed battle.
i think drossos is BS he didn't show the guy anything really. Vasil eased up when the guy did it the drossos way. bucking someone over from side control is not easy if they are firmly planted into the ground and doesnt make sense as a go to tactic. its not easy like bucking them over from mount (you have more control of their hips). I want to see drossos sparring at 70% at least before I respect him (use knife props with a competent guy coming at you full force).
+Jehanzeb14 What ur saying is legit , I've done bjj for a while now . But we're talking about street situations , escaping from mount or side control against a grappler who actually understands the advantage of this position and the ways his opponent is going to look to escape is completly different from a guy who's overpowering a women to rape her from the mount or being attacked and the attacker taking side control . Its much easier to escape when they don't understand the position . Against a grappler that's a whole other story . I get what you mean about him not being that good , and I've seen a couple of his videos , he's not that good of a grappler but against somebody who's a random attacker he is superior . And from what I understand he says his a self defence coach not a bjj coach so his not misrepresenting his skill set what he does is very legit for a self defence coach . And what I like in a couple of videos I've seen is that he's giving tips to people about how to make their method more effective in public . cheers .

0:03 ''I believe I can fly''
excellent, you picked on the one guy strong enough to actually defend himself..
Yeah but the attacker was still stronger and bigger so whats the problem??
Im 170cm 68kgram asian trying to grapple with 188cm 90kg bulky caucasian.

This guy did great. Loved how he was striking after he got the upper hand.
Great video Nick. You found a really good guy for this.
That was the best video, this guy knows what to do
Tx for sharing, now we know, that the concept of striking is also important and using hips motion to make attacker lost balance, great video,tx for sharing
The couple in the very beginning is cool :D
Hey Nick, I know you do a lot of adult self-defense videos. But could you do some children's self-defense videos (e.g. how to avoid abductions, verbal & physical bully defense in schools etc.)? I teach kids as well as adults and I'm always looking for new bully defense moves. Thanks!
HA! The french guy, who has no grappling experience, did better against the attack than Nick.
He obviously knew a bit of jiu jitsu
Muay Thai actually includes Grappling?
Muay Thai has a lot of focus on stand up clinch, balance, and trips. If you consider that grappling, then yes.
+TWoN Ummm.. The Clinch and Balance is a form of Grappling. In Jujitsu you are taught focus balance and Clinches are actually used in more Grapple Based Martial Arts anyways. Judo uses some of the same Ideas
Just when I was going to unsubscribe... this. Useful and interesting!

THIS GUY WAS SO GREAT!!
Hey nick, this is amazing stuff keep doing it.
this is the shit they need to teach in schools instead of how to draw a damn picture or solve a math problem you'll never have again
Tnx Nick you are good man. Bigup for my bulgarian brother Vasil-Васил

Self-defense is to protect one's self not harm another if can be.
yo that is the best guy u did
You should get this guy up :D If he has a standing fighting stance, it'll be interesting to see that, at least once.

Nice video. You are a very good and practical instructor Nick! I would love to train with you. Keep up the good work. Real world self defense!
Great video Thank you

Wonderful
Cool guy
Nick, as someone who advocates the usage of open handed strikes, what is your opinion on conditioning your palms by striking wood or by any other method?
Hahaha his pants ripped.
Vasil kinda looks like the guy from GTA4
Nick, do you teach abroad or only in your local country?
Is Vasil bulgarian by chance ? And does the tattoo on his back says "България" ? :)
I'm pretty curious what's he hiding beneath that bandage all the time. If it's a wound or some "special" tattoo.
DAAAMMMM THAT MAN KILLS
That will survive an attack
to be fair to grappling, Jiu Jitsu was designed for use against a weapon when you don't have a usable one, the modern stuff just changed the focus
Where is Vasil's Channel?
What if it was the real thing and you didn't know they was coming
OMG I though the black thing behind the shirtless guy was a dead dog!😥😥😥
yes this guy is strong and and good defense ...... Iam French black belt of judo d ont forget for knive attack is good to too learn some Aikido this help you very much the must is Boran Muay Thai this is defastating self defence is OLD muay thai practising in norht of Thailand and lLaos
0:03 WTF !?!?! :)))
best by far
he was good at the end :P
Why is the dude in the helmet pants always ripped on the side we can practically see his underwear
They did 5-6 videos on the same day, in the first social experiment he slipped and broke his pants while trying to follow a girl running away
i really feel sorry for vasil he always gets hit even tho he is a well-built guy :")
shoots someone in the knee OWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW Woah woah chill bro it was a social experiment Theres camaras over there OMG OWWW dies
That guy's jeans are way too tight, it keeps ripping like that in many videos
O:03 😂
Not a social ex
teach young girls not young girls like 16 and 14 like below the age of 12 they are targeted cause they are small and scared
you will die if you try to fight with someone bigger than you kkk , sorry for my bad english
Lovet 👌👌👌👌👌👌
dang

Isabelle gulbransen No, open hand because hes wearing that hard helmet, and could damage them if he used fist, so open hand for training :)
Mads Møller Hansen No, open hand always. He could damage his hand if there wasn't a helmet either. A human skull is probably harder than that helmet.
Hurts alot more as well lol... And in reality this man would just fucking outmuscle the shit out of this little girl
Were nise
00:01 what der fuck are they doing

Kinda want Nick to get Vasil to attack an NFL linebacker, like Luke Kuechly, 6 foot 3, 235 pounds, he'd get destroyed by brute size and strength
