the difficulty 6 missions to "Destroy Pirate Base" at the first sectors are really easy if you get Ion beam. the actual difficulty is drawing away the mobile defenders which is fairly easy(usually more along the lines of a difficulty 2-3 mission).
Thank you so much for this Guide. I played my first ever game... and was dead in less than 2 hours. Figures it would turn out to be a mistake for me to choose the Model L... :(
@@kormakrtv Curiosity: What is the Maximum amount of Crew you can ever have hired to you all at once total in Career Mode? Model-S is now the strongest starter ship in cosmoteer because of great speed, dmg, and defense, barely takes anny damage with that shield, u can make it bigger, and stronger easily! and add another ship called the Cargoship or Manufacturing Cargoship (effective at manufacture-mining)
How do you get rid off the yellow and red strips while building? I cannot build certain parts in the ship because f some kind of "forbbiden" area marked by such strips (that you can see in while in the blueprint mode). Thanks!
Hey thank you for the Video, i would like some basic knowledge about ship building, especially Armor and such, cause i often face death without a shield generator with the starting L Class Ship :(
Thx for the Info:) This Thing about positioning your ship for combat is great. Yesterday i was a little upset cause my ship go in a stupid charge after set an attack order/critcal order for my weapons. Result: the ship rams enemy vessel and blocking his own weapons^^' May i missed this in the tutorial but after asking in the Steam forum, someone explain this too. And now battles are running way better for me😊
Agreed. The Tutorial Stuff in my first game never said enough if anything at all about being able to order my Ship to maneuver around. I had learned how to order targeting of desired Parts, but thought I had no choice but to just Face Tank my foes and slug it out, and to make matters worse, I was a dumbass and chose the Model-L, instead of the correct choice. That bloke in this Vid with the Cannon on the side... first one of those I fought Game Over'd me. I downed the Cannon with my 4 Lasers, but by the time I had done that his Cannon had blown through my middle 2 Lasers and half my Ship was on Fire... and my Crew gawked at the Fire instead of actually doing anything with the Fire Extinguisher. By the time I figured out how to order my Crew to GET OFF THEIR GODDAMN ASSES and attack the Fires, it was too late and the Fire spread to my Cockpit and blew it to hell and I couldn't find any possible way to recover and gave up and GG'd outta that game. :( I think the Beginning of the Game needs to do a better job of teaching us how to fight. :( (And give the Model-L a Buff so it's not a Schmuck Bait Trap.)

That last tip with the structures to move the asteroids was wild, great video.
I love that it is possible!
I dunno if I woulda ever thought of tryin it... i'm impressed those Asteroids can act so light. Ya made'em look like ugly Beach Balls. XD

as it should be | the game should start easy and become more difficult with time.

*highfive* I think so too!
It had much potential years ago before it was put on steam. Now its finally utilising this potential

As in unused bedrooms that could be used for storage or thicken the wall.

Are building straight to the ship or using the blue print mode ?
Its in blueprint mode. I think I found the answer: its the area where thrusters work,so you cant build there.
@@ricardoricric well that problem answered itself nice 🤣

I'm addicted played all day yesterday
Same can’t wait to finish my Normandy
Go for the quick kill. Target the cockpit or power plant, which ever is closest and take it down. No use taking out each component.
Depends on what want from that encounter!
I could see you loosing day to this game Korm.
Most likely will once it is out in 1.0
First combat: Should have just blown up the cockpit at the front instead of chasing after the thrusters = instant dead ship. 🙂
100% but wanted to test if I can transfer my people if it’s still intact
Tip turn the music down next time , ADHD folk can't concentrate
Gladly thanks for the input!
Music is already very low and an important part of the game. Not everyone has ADHD.
