Hi Jen, thank you for your genuine and emotional reaction to this beautiful song. It gets me all the time too....cried again when watching your reaction and emotions. I lost my mum last year and my dad some years ago. I have a tatoo of a part of the lyrics from this song on my arm. We were lucky to see Floor perform this during her last very intimite, happy & emotional solo show in Hertme, the Netherlands last month. Her family was there too and she was very emotional introducing this song. That night was epic and we will never forget! Kindest regards! 💖💖🤘

Bought tickets for her new solo tour next year April 13th Utrecht. Yeahhhh, I saw her last month.
My concerts now are Nightwish in november 28th, Floor Jansen April 13th and Sabaton May 3th.

No wonder they say Floor makes more grown men cry than divorce lawyers lol. She just keeps hitting me in the feels over and over like no other and i'm forever grateful to her for it.
I relate so much to your experiences and what impact Nightwish and Floor has on you. My in-laws whom I loved dearly passed away at my house 11 months apart and which impacted my dear wife so so much. It effected me so much. I was introduced to Nightwish in the same period and purely by chance. Storytime at Wacken was the very first song I heard and oh my god, I was so mesmerized by this god like goddess on stage with an angelic voice. Needles to say, my life has never been the same after that night.

Yeh Floor is AMAZING. There also is another very young STUNNING VOCALIST from the Netherlands. Her name is Amira Willighagen. She,s a ONE OF A KIND UNIQUE SOPRANO. She hase a very rare soul piercing sound in her STUNNING VOICE. I know i know, She,s no rock or metal singer. But she hase many fans world wide from many different types of music. She won Hollands Got Talent at the age of nine . I can talk about her forever, but i wont ,just listen for example to her La Vergine Degli Angeli version. I already heard people saying, she,s the young version of Floor. Now thats a compliment isn,t it . O ,she hase more then one billion view,s all together on her youtube video,s. I think she,s AWESOME.

It's funny how the Universe works, because while this song is heartwrenchingly beautiful and meaningful on its own, it's even tougher for me because today is my mom's eighth birthday in heaven. Your timing for this was in perfect alignment for my heart today. Thank you for sharing this, and for sharing your enthusiasm for NW and Floor! And so sorry for your loss of your dad. 💖
If Samantha was there, she wasn't on stage with Floor. Henk was of course. It was quite a special night, as we had just a small window between the Covid waves to go and enjoy live shows again. I was there with my sister and totally loved it.
Floor 'softened up' the Nightwish (and After Forever / Revamp) songs for her solo shows, because the audience is quite different from what you'd see at a Nightwish show. I think the heavy guitars would be too much for some people 🙉
This is an emotional song for many people, including Floor. During her show in Hertme she got very emotional as this song reminds her of having to say goodbye to her parents, which she often needs to do. She spent a couple of weeks with her parents before the Hertme show and was going home (Sweden) again one or two days later. So she was dreading another 'goodbye' moment, as her mom isn't in the best of health.

It's awesome to realize that a year from now she will be 10 yrs as an official member and the longest reigning singer they have had since they debuted in 1996
😍Saw it in The Hague in 2020, It was one of few or the onley standing venue on her Solo tour. I saw a RUclipsr there and I heared another one was alsoo there. today I think.

The Endless Form Most Beautiful album is such a good one this song get's kinda lost from the heavier ones but this is right up there with the other soft ones from NW concerts like Dead Boy's Poem n Sleeping Sun and Wembley's While your Lips are still Red

However, Floor assured that this is not the case & she can still head bang with her shorter hair that according to her suits a 40-year old mom better.

Perhaps it was/is too close? Tuomas wrote it to his and bandmembers parents who wait. No one knows what may happen to parent's or bandmembers while they are on the road, literally on other side of world...
