We recorded this track for the 'We Are MOTHER' documentary but we were only able to use the instrumental version in the finished piece - and we didn't want this awesome vocal version to go to waste! So I thought I'd share it with everyone here. Hope you enjoy!

This is mother 1, so the protagonist is Ninten, not ness. Ness is from earthbound (AKA mother 2)
@@jamiebruce8610 Yeah but still, Pollyanna is one of the few tracks that appears in ALL three games. In Earthbound/Mother 2, a short, but very obvious part of Pollyanna plays when Nees first leaves his home. Also inside Ness's home the track plays slowly.

Me too.....Thank goodness 8 year old me decided to play Earthbound/Mother 2! I finally completed Earthbound on President's Day of 2024, at 16!!! (My current age!)
I love Pollyanna, the Eight Melodies (from Mother 1), Bein' Friends, and Smiles and Tears so much that I listened and sang along to every remix of them on RUclips lol

@@spambot9206 Haha, not sure! I added the first unicode bird character I could find that works with the subtitles (which turned out to be 🕊), it might be used in EU IV somewhere, but I haven't played the game.

Sprites are from Mother 1 - 3 but I put together the scenes from scratch in multiple layers to add some depth and added in animations :)

I'm so glad I played Mother 2/Earthbound when I was 8. I played the first half at 8, got the Player's Guide at 9 years old, and after 7 years (when I was 15), I continued playing Mother 2/Earthbound. I actually finished/completed Mother 2/Earthbound at 16, on February 19th, 2024 (Presidents Day).
I am currently playing a fan translation of Mother 3 by Tomato, and I'm at the part where Duster infiltrates the Osohe Castle.
EDIT: Now I'm at the part where Lucas is trying to find Club Tittiboo to find Duster
EDIT 2: Now I'm actually in the attic of Club Tittiboo to see if Duster really is Lucky, but I'm still fighting the Jealous Bass (this boss is harder than the Mecha Drago, like what)

How did you do the subtitles magic?
Hey, caption maker here, sorry for the late response!
I could explain how the subtitles work in detail, but the gist is that YT has a format for subtitles (.ytt) that support color, position, ...
Using YTSubConverter (a github repo), you can convert .ass files (commonly used by fansubbers in anime, has a lot of customizations), and convert those files into the RUclips compatible .ytt files.

Good song, however I feel like the vocals are waaay too overly compressed and the singer stretches her words a bit too long + having no dynamics that ends up muddying up the overall mix. Still good, just maybe needs a another passthrough to sound better.
