A few days ago I was surprised by the behavior of this couple. At the end of the afternoon, after a usual spring storm, they approached the window of the hide and settled on the windowsill. They did not stop singing and playing for several minutes. I had to turn back the position of my camera, to be able to focus them on the other side of the spy glass since they were a few centimeters away from me.
This is the result of that concert.
I hope you like those who see it.
    A cordial greeting for all

Thank you very much friend. For me, it was just a stroke of luck. I do not even have an external microphone and almost always I record from inside the hide, (a wooden hut at the feeding point of necrophagous raptors that we manage) so that I almost never get quality sound, but that afternoon, after a small spring storm the starlings stopped at the window sill, a few centimeters from the camera, on the other side of the spy glass, and began their concert. The sound was recorded by the internal microphone of the camera, I only had to amplify them in the edition.
As I have already mentioned, a stroke of luck, which has led me to know your channel and your work, and I assure you that this has also amplified the luck of that day.
      Thanks for comment.
A pleasure and a luxury for me.

And again you were able to record something special at very close distance! Starlings are among my favorite birds, especially for their varied song which you were able to record very nice too. Beautiful light after the storm!

    • @hieraetus65
      @hieraetus65  6 лет назад +1

Hi Monique, it encourages me to read your words.
We have already spoken on other occasions that it is relatively easy to record from my position of privilege, comfortably housed under the roof of a wooden house and behind the protection of a mirror that camouflages me before wild animals a few meters away from my camera .
For that reason I try hard to do well, the few things that can depend on myself, I try hard to focus well, most of the time I work with the camera autofocus for reasons of necessity, but with the close-ups sometimes it is difficult to focus automatically, and I have had to send to the garbage can too much unfocused material, so I try hard to take advantage of the light that nature offers me, although it does not depend on me when things are going to happen , so if I am lucky to have the birds active early in the morning, it is a real pleasure to play with the diaphragm, trying to find the most appropriate light, although I often run out of light, as I usually tend to underexpose.
So when from time to time, insistently, the people on the other side of the glass give me the possibility to record something new, I feel lucky and I try to make the result worthy, even though technically it is not a worthy recording.
You're right, the light was beautiful at the end of the afternoon, after the storm, but to put a small complaint, at the time it was (seven in the afternoon) the sun was already too low and the shadow of the starlings is projected in the glass. I do not pretend to deceive anyone. Everyone knows that I record behind a spy glass, but the images would have been cleaner if the starlings had given their concert at 9 in the morning.
I do not rule it out, because they have a real desire to be placed on the window sill of the hide.
Good week and good recordings, my friend.
      See you around here.
      Best regards.

      Iban Ayesa

I'm smiling now because at the beginning of the movie,
I saw a black bird up close,
I thought it would be tearing something up again,
eating it, tearing the meat apart and that the blood would be flowing ...
And you made us here so enchanting, wonderful, fairy tale concert ...
    It's very nice ...
my face is smiling, my eyes are smiling,
my soul sings with birds, after the storm ...
It was a wonderful experience ...
Thank you very much and have a nice evening
    and wonderful next days ...
Another spring storm has passed over us today ...
A few days ago I read that snow is supposed to reach Spain ...
And to us, to the north-east ... - hot weather ...
    Maybe it's a joke ...
    With a friendly hug - Mirka (•_•)))

    • @hieraetus65
      @hieraetus65  6 лет назад +1

Thanks Mirka, I'm glad you liked the video. Not
everything has to be sharp claws and powerful peaks tearing flesh,
although what I show in my videos is a natural process, in which animals
only feed, maybe I invade their intimacy, but they are processes
that they would do even though I I'm not recording them. My
intention is to divulge the knowledge of the species, and although I
often look for beauty in the images, in other cases I also try to
capture their behavior, their efforts to tear the flesh, the care of
their claws and the cleanliness of their bodies and their peaks, on which they depend to continue living.
I am very happy that you liked the video and it makes me happy also to
upload this type of videos, but that same day the vultures had eaten a
few minutes before a sheep that we collected dead in the field. You
must not forget that it was already dead when they ate it, and whether
I recorded it or not, things would have happened in the same way. Sooner or later I will make a video with those images, but I do not
intend to recreate myself in death, nor in the fights between the
vultures themselves, I also try to transmit knowledge and although it
may seem a lie, also some beauty in the midst of chaos.
Thank you very much Mirka, my friend, for watching the video, I am always happy to read and write to you.
It seems that we are in a time of storms both in your country and in mine. I imagine that snow is a joke, but it would be good for me to be able to capture images of my surroundings under the snow. This
winter snowed one day, but I did not have the drone ready to record, I
had to work in the afternoon, and the snow here usually does not last
more than a day, so do not record anything.
      Maybe next time. :-))
      A friendly hug, Mirka.
      See you around here.
