I think we can all agree that Man-bat had the jumpest jumpscare
Faaxx
Fax
Oh Yes
Nah, it was Joker because just when you thought the nightmare was over, joker pops up over a roof and you shit your pants yet again
we all jumped up in our seats for that one no question
Me: Grappling on a building while playing Arkham Knight.
Man-Bat: I'm about to end this man's whole career.
Man-Bat: pro gamer
still haunts me
Terry Silver: I think he peed his pants.
Wait... VADER! I had no idea you played the Arkham games!
Hello there
The manbat one is genius because it catches you in your most comfortable moment, just mindlessly gliding around the city
Ong it happens when you’re not even expecting it one bit
Yeah I was just gliding peacefully and I literally pissed myself slightly because I had my headset volume on high and it came outta nowhere.
@@GenesisSuperNova8764 same thing happened to me both times I tried replaying the game and it happened to me again when I didn’t even expect it even tho I was looking out for it 😂😂
@@Chapkilla I know right! Its just so unexpected that no matter even if you know it’s coming it still scares the sh** out of you.

_Miss me?_

Same lol
I remember that just after this jumpscare I needed 5 minutes to get back to playing the game since it scared me so much.
This jumpscare was my favorite
It scared the shit outta me
The one in the studio when you're playing as Gordon is great because it perfectly conveys how people must feel when Batman just "appears" out of nowhere.
How tf Gordon didn’t scream is beyond my knowledge
He’s probably mostly use to it at that point considering the years he’s spent with Batman.
Yup. And there is no high pitch sound to scare you
@@koleszgdanska7149 It is James so Batman doesn't even try to scare him. Now imagine that was a criminal, Batman would Jumpscare him with a punch to the face and then break as many bone as possible that the criminal can still survive and start to walk after 9 months.
Yeah also the end when Bruce injects Scarecrow with the fear toxin now I could be wrong but that looks to me like a reference to batman begins
The Man-Bat freaked me out so bad that i cancelled my Main mission and Literally just went on a Hunt for his Ass!
Same but I was scared the jump scare would happen twice but it was joker and I wasn’t that scared
right🤣
i did that too i stoped doing the main mission and started doing his mission
Same😂
@@MilesMoralesGaming fym, jokers roof jumpscare scared me even worse than the man bat😂I mean it’s a damn clown
The Batman statues were probably the most unsettling. You just keep turning around and then there's more. That's the kind of atmosphere that drives a horror game. That unsettling feeling that something isn't right.
I always dreaded that part when I would replay Arkham Knight
More horror games should do that. Garbage and cash grabs like poppy playtime and garten of banban just say "if it chases you and has loud as crap jumpscare its scary"
7:13 "He...He punched my shark" -vector and probably cobblepot at that moment
reminds me of despicable me lmao
@@TheMemeSchemer that’s what they’re referencing
I love how after that, the shark refuses to eat Batman.
I remember the lunatics, after them detective vision was always on
I know I played half that game with night vision. Those things haunted my dreams for awhile
I first played Arkham Asylum a few years back and that Game Was Messing with my Psyche Lmao That game can be terrifying if you're new to it.

Can we all agree that the Man Bat jumpscare is just geniusly designed? Like, you know when it's gonna happen (after the first time you enter Miagani) but at the same time you don't cause it can happen on every single building. It just gets me every single time.
The halloween man bat got me more, I finally got rid of him and bam, he’s around again

'Batman: Arkham Knight' was both terrifying and awesome.
Here's hoping SS: KtJL and GK also have scarily awesome moments as well.
@@michaelandreipalon359
'Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League' by Rocksteady.
'Gotham Knights' by WB Games Montreal.
Let's hope so.
@@mr.decencykeepinitreal6348 Yeah, let's hope so.
Also, the Suicide Squad game's title is already a mouthful, so I had no choice but to shorten it (of course, "SS" could be a bit controversial).
@@michaelandreipalon359 Suicide Squad seems that going to be more action/ comedy than action/horror. But it could be scary if they bring characters like Enchantress, Killer Croc, Professor Pyg, or Ratcatcher.
As for Gotham Knights, it seems that the Owls will do a great job on bringing the horror in Gotham.
@@Albino_Wolf I actually want Deathstroke to be a secret/DLC playable character in the former, so he will be given justice to his Arkham portrayals. But still, some scary moments might be there (I'll bet on the appearances of the Black Mercy and Starro, some possible Brainiac moments, and the appearance of some creepy sidequests).
Yeah, the Court of Owls will most likely give us a lot of nightmare fuel.

The lunatics will always get me, because you can't see them with detective mode until they jump out of their hiding spots
Yes you can, even over long distances. It kinda spoils the detail, like when that doctor in Arkham City tries to hit Batman from her hiding place.
10:36 i still remember i'm playing again in the middle of the night with heaphones on and GODDAMN
How do u get it?
@@ryandickface6116 finishing the game and start a new game.

With the amount of jumpscares throughout the series, Rocksteady should consider making a horror game
They made arkham asylum
Maybe a first person survival monster game.
We are the monster to the thugs so halfway there
Keeping with the comics theme, maybe a Constantine game!
Bot knowing when demons prowl!
Batman VR is basically a horror game tbh

The scariest part in the Arkham series is in Arkham Asylum when Joker talks about himself in a thong.
Wait what
@@thebatman8430 the first time we see Scarecrow, Joker starts asking Batman what his fears are. And the last thing Joker says is “Me? In a thong????” Then he starts laughing. It’s hilarious lol
Haha cool
Can’t believe I missed that one and I have been playing the game since I was 2
@@sgbiscuit123 what thong means beacuse I'm dumb?
What makes these jumps cares so effective is because you aren't playing a "horror" game. So you don't expect them in the same vain as a true horror game. Therefore they catch you off guard much more.
4:23 that's something venom would say
I've never noticed how much Killer Croc gives a "Venom vibe" until seeing this comment.
The scariest thing about the Man Bat jumpscare is that you don’t even know when he is gonna pop up during the story.
Nah i know when exactly he's supposed to pop out, put if u don't do it, then yeah, you right, but he's basically supposed to pop out right after riddler first appears on the big screen, and after the riddler tells Batman to go the orphanage, i grapple boost onto that big screen across the place where u defeat the militia, the only one idk is when JOKER will pop out lmfaoooo
@@getman900 there's a set time for both to happen, but WHERE they happen is always random.

@@timtam5575 well, that just seems like a glitch.
@@ultrabigfella yeah probably but idk it’s just weird.
The joker jumpscare is the one that made me paranoid of grappling as u can’t really predict that one
Same here. Anytime I grapple after seeing Man-Bat, I always look away or flinch, even when I know when the jumpscares happen in the game.
@sherlbatcap99 croc’s lair?
@@Bopkwon I guess it was just Rocksteady's way of telling us to use the batmobile more often instead XD

The laughing fish one scared me out of my chair in school during study hall
The thing about Man-bat is, you get scared even if you're playing for the 5th time.

I was like 7-8 yrs old when I got my hands on Arkham Asylum , those lunatics ruled my nightmares for weeks..
I was 9 when I played it first time, it scared the crap out of me haha
Ikr the lunatics were the spawn of satan
I was like 9 years old when I played Arkham Asylum, and the ones of Killer Croc really scared me. Although I don't complain about the list, I think the Killer Croc ones should have been on a higher place. But well that's what I think.
I was 8. Scarecrow and the lunatics made me stop playing the game several times 😂

I always hated those lunatics. Jumping out of nowhere, and screaming bloody murder.
And the fact that they'll scream before they come out is what I find unnerving. Like, I enter a room and I heard one scream and I stood there, waiting for him to come out. But when I moved like a few meters, he just decides to pop out and cause me to almost piss myself.
I played asylum so i know how it feels lol

I remember playing on Halloween one night minding my own business with everything completed and man-bat jumping at my face. I thought my heart had stopped in that moment.
Next to Man-Bat, the Batman statues popping up every time you turn around is creepy and what makes it creepier it that if you were playing with the free camera, you can see that they move as you move. Unlike Man-Bat's jumpscare, Batman breaking free of being statue still gets me because you really don’t know which is really Batman as you play through a a criminals or Joker's POV.
When i was playing as Joker & shooting down those statues; my mind was like,Batman will show up any time but he never quickly does & then when the statues to get really close to you then all of a sudden,Batman jumps upon you...freaked me out.

@@IvanLopez-to9ph Yes, it's Gotham Knights.
Yeah, I really like the idea of Batman being resurrected as an evil assassin (kinda like his Zur-En-Arrh incarnation), but to be perfectly honest, I would love the Knights to fight Damian Wayne himself.
Batman's jumpscare got me. It was so unexpected and very much happened right in our faces like the typical jumpscare. I do love him as my childhood superhero (don't judge me I never left behind my childhood)
Exactly. I fucking hated that part. What made it worse is that it didn't happen immediately when I turned around with Gordon. It made me walk around the room in circles until Batman finally felt like popping out.
