Have you checked out the norwegian company EVOY, we have one of their RAVEN as our tender and as a engineer but employed curently as deck Officer i have to say that thing is just great. And from what i have seen would fit the aesthetics of your BEaring.
glad you guys are doing these, while i understand boats with cabins are your speciality, your tours are so much better than other boat channels i'd probably watch you doing tours of tiny day lake boats, or houses, or walking trails, basically what i am saying is love the chemistry and the time spent with you online each week.
Love that boat, and I love tenders! It would be cool to know what size of yacht is required or recommended for the length of tender we are seeing. It helps me fine-tune my pipe-dreams. Cheers!
Excellent recommendation, imo. That signature bow step is perfect for off/on in places like the Exumas, esp for charter guests who may not have the best sea legs/other mobility issues. Good range of sizes & highly customizable from what I understand, too. And an alu hull, plus the fat wrap around bumper to keep maintenance/damage under control. Since my yacht dreams largely take place off the West coast of Scotland and/or the Pac NW (BC & SE Alaska), I'd go for something a little more hardcore like the Viggo C10 if $ was no object. And fill it with shock-absorber seats ( I think you can have up to 6 in the C10). I don't care how great that hull is, sitting sidewise at 30+ knots for any length of time will be miserable. Btw, are we allowed to use your yacht's name now ? I feel like we should be encouraging her to emerge from the womb at this point.
this boat equiped with EVOY engines would be the best boat out there. super quite, almost maintance free from engine side. As a engineer i have to recomend their engine systems and also full boat systems, EVOY is from norway so it is build for the harsh weather condistions.
Ooh! I look forward to small boats and fishing boats. stuff the average guy might be looking to buy. Your tours are so much better than anything out there. I hate having to settle for tours from other people because you don’t have one on your channel.
Thank you very much for the explanations. Very interesting discovery. Ricco is a boat enthusiast and it’s obvious. He knows his stuff and always explains things in great detail. He is very well prepared to give us as much information as possible. Thank you
Thanks for blowing me away by your content. You guys have really helped me out this last year because I ran into some health issues. I have been laid up.
Historically, the head was at the very bow of sailing ships because that way it would be downwind of the rest of the ship in nearly all situations. Even when trying to tack into the wind the wind would blow the stink off board by 30-45 degrees rather than straight down the length of the ship.
I just love your boat tours. This is a great addition. I also love the couple of house tours with boat docks you have made. You guys are just good at making tours. You have two things I particularly love on NautiStyles: you show price and technical specs!
NautiSmalls 68mph WOW I remember that there was a discussion some time ago when you were talking about having a tender that can catch up to the main boat so you can enjoy a location for longer while the boat continues en route ... I guess that this tender would satisfy that particular need.
I actually really appreciate this kind of video. There is so little videos of tenders. As a person hunting for a tender this is much appreciated vs building a custom tender which we might still do.
What will happen if you are towing this boat as a tender, and you are in heavy sea conditions and waves are breaking over the bow? Is that going to become a sinking tender? Or does that front portion have a fast self bailing option? And the stern section high capacity bildge pump? If not, you may have to cut it in clear. Otherwise, you do need a tender that is going to be secure to go ashore in not so pleasant condions. Like a little rain shower or windy day with spray. If you are going to portage your guest to and from shore in comfort that having bench seats in ac and dry. It would be bad to the bone. A name could be(Little Scooter), haha ❤️🧜♂️🔱👍🫠
@NautiGuys I was worried about water getting in front of the cockpit and going straight to stern where all that weight of three motors might not have enough floatation and it going under stern first. Leaving it pointing at the sky.
I'd love to see something like this but with twin Indmar 575 Raptor engines with jet drives. I like the idea of a tender being a jet boat so that you're not risking prop strikes in shallow bays/ports.
I’ve been lucky enough to charter many times . We’ve always towed a center console and really enjoyed it . The one thought you might want to consider is having an enclosed area that your charter guests can escape a sudden rain storm . Also when at anchor , and you need to take your guests ashore for dinner , the woman don’t want all that wind in their hair .
Also when looking at tenders & runabouts…Think about water-sports…especially swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving…The first thing I look at in a boat is how easy is it to get back on 👍🏻🤩😀🌊🌞
That Rafnar is very Awesome.. That would be my Tender choice, hands down!! It would be worth the extra money, if they cost more.. Love this Tender series.. 👍
This boat needs deck popup rectangular periscope design side windows for head. To see outside while doing business with the hatch closed. 😁 Luv you guys!
Beautiful boat. Reminds me a little of Life Proof Boats from Seattle. You guys should do a video on one of their boats! Center console whose, I really like Intrepid power boats.
Definitely look at Life Proof boats. They look like a RIB, but actually have a replaceable, about 1ft wide, foam "ring"....looks just like RIB outer tube but without the possible deflation problems. Most of the models also have a pretty nifty fold down boarding ladder in the bow.
@Navy1977 maybe you can have a look at diesel outboards on your show as they are more economical and safer and the performance is now just as good if not better
I love you guys! Having said that, I know I’m not alone in this and I’m direct. We all know your boat is further along than you let on. I know you make more money on dragging this out. My thought is your boat is already in the water. I NEVER thought I’d say this but…..your channel has become even more about money making. I understand that’s why your channel is so good and that it’s a “living”. But the quick clips which help the algorithm and that in turn makes more money is proof. I want more content on YOUR BOAT here. This video did in fact cut in on a video of your boat.
The reality of it is - your thought is completely wrong 🤣 ADAMAS will be ready for launch in the New Year. As much as we wish she was already here... we're patiently waiting like the rest of you. A lot of work goes in to building something of this size & we're not rushing or delaying its completion for views. You guys are as updated as you can be with even more exciting things to come! Can't please everyone but this new series has been highly suggested by tons of you guys soooooo enjoy what's to come! 🤪🙏🏻⚓️
That looks like the safest boat going, similar to life boats. I think it looks quite good overall, you mentioned military green, what colour are you having the hull on your yacht, Thanks for the tour.
Much like the Hummer is a civilian vehicle inspired by the military Humvee, this feels like a smaller civilian version of the Navy PT boat. It has a head, freshwater supply, small enclosure, great speed, and a decent range. I can see why similar versions are in use by some Coast Guards.
Would help to have metric on the specs. 😊 I enjoyed the video. Interesting to see a larger tender. Can this be towed by a vessel the size of your Bering being built? Next question. How do you use the head in privacy? Are there lights inside when you sit and close the hatch? or are you supposed to leave the door open? If you open the hatch, can you stand with your head up out of the hatch, with that entrance door closed. Weird way to go, true, but wondering how practical a head design like that is? Sorry if that’s a silly question. I’ve never been on a tender with a head on it, so not sure on its design method of use.
What kind of floor on the Rafnar and why don't yachts put this type instead of teak. Looks nice, doesn't stain (i assume). Does it get too hot to the bare fert?
I would LOVE to see NautiGuys/-Style do an in-depth review of the Elling E6 motor yacht! The only tour that I've found on YT is from a Russian language (No Eng.Sub.) channel. It has "self-righting" stability, in fact, I would liken the E6 as a "Fleming Coupe" in terms of its capabilities. I am curious as to the ease of maintenance for owner/operators for the engineering plant & auxilary systems! Love the variety & in-depth nature of your Videos😍
You may have addressed it before and I've missed it but I'm curious what colour you're going to be painting Adamas? I'd love to see a Blue hull over the typical white, or is that more labour intensive to maintain as it's darker? Complete ignorance over here.
YES YES YES for smaller vessels, especially towable/under 40 feet. Speed boats, fishing boats, center consoles, tenders, stuff you can take a few miles offshore for the day. Also you mentioned this vessel was air conditioned, is the cabin heated??? Looks like a good boat to run around England, Norway, the Baltic sea, ie places where a "good day" can still call for a bit of drizzle/rain/fog and be 50-60 degrees(15c)
Nice boat but would go with something with a bow ramp for guests at beachs. Also loading and unloading on beaches. Like the enclosed helm. Nice bathroom is a must. Seating but open space for transport of supplies.
This is such an important topic and so little coverage out there addressing the towable tender in particular. I would love to know more about, for example, how do you manage a towable tender in bad weather conditions? How does it affect the yacht dynamic is such a situation? Personally I would get one with a diesel engine to be able to refuel from the yacht.
While I understand their primary market is for the professional/tactical market, I question this as a chase boat/tender in the popular (profitable) charter market locals. It doesn't have some of the things you might want when chartering and catering to guests at a beach location (no bar, no grill, only sun protection is in the cabin, a lot of steps which might be a problem with some clients, etc...). Twin 600's while slower, would be better, as they would allow for a wider stern entrance/exit for guests when med mooring. A really interesting boat, however, it would be better suited for the northern and southern latitudes. Also, love the tender tours!
I think you should think about how you’ll actually use the tender. Is it important that your tender go fast? Do you plan on taking it right onto a beach? Are you mainly operating it by yourselves or with a crew? If you’re using it to provision your Bering maybe it should have refrigeration capacity? Is the ship being used to host parties? Maybe that tender should have a bad ass stereo and a bar. Maybe you’ll want to water ski behind it. BTW it’s not army green. It’s olive drab. And it should be at least one of the colors of your tender.
We are considering to have 2 tenders: a larger towable and a smaller on deck
👍👍
