Many people forgot that this concert took place at Madison Square Garden the Sunday before Tuesday, September 11, 2001. The family got stuck in New York when all flights were grounded. Several people in this audience died on 9/11. CBS was slated to televise the concert that week but put it off until a few months later in mid-November. It was an awesome concert, but those memories put a cloud over the memories...
Actually the concert(s) took place on Friday the 7th and the night of Monday the 10th. Heck, the VMAs (where MJ made an appearance) were on Thursday the 6th. Busy few days before the world turned to shite.
