Watching Ashley's videos has really transformed my driving. Adopting his ethos of "sorting out other people's mistakes" manages to scratch that angry itch that I (and probably others) get when I see absolutely idiotic driving on the road. Not only that, but passengers and some other road users do seem to notice that you're making the journey a better experience for everyone. (Quite a few are completely oblivious that you've just sorted out their problem, but you can't have it all.)
What makes it more fun, is anticipating that people like the driver of the Audi in the first clip are almost certain to drive aggressively and selfishly, and pre-empt their stupidity by allowing for it. The only downside of this, is that they think their awful driving isn't a problem, but sooner or later they'll come across someone who drives like they do and reap the whirlwind they have sown.

I had to stop sharply yesterday when a car pulled out of a junction on my right. The horn warning meant he stopped before he got into my path and also, as I'd seen him start to creep I was already on my brakes and stopped with plenty of space between us. I got a mouthed apology, a hand up and a flash of the hazards when I let him out front of me. All of which I acknowledged with a wave back. No swearing , no aggression and I'm guessing we both enjoyed the rest of our day. It can, and should, be as easy as that.

Clip 2: If you are going to move across two or more lanes, it has been said that it's best to break it down so that each lane change is a distinct one and not just one continuous sweep across. In other words, separate observation for each lane change, including a quick over the shoulder blind spot check for each and every lane change. And a signal, cancel signal, reapply signal for each lane change. Also, spacing out a multiple lane change over a greater distance and starting it early by planning ahead helps, so that it's not all rushed over a short distance.
As the cam car in Clip 2, I would have also considered sounding the horn at around 0:42, especially as the van driver had their window open.

This incident is my number one complaint about motorway driving and I am seriously fed up of people trying to kill me in this way. Never cross two lanes of a motorway in one go. You are absolutely right - stop, reassess, plan again. From a defensive point of view It’s a good idea to watch everyone manoeuvring to the side of you, but particularly those joining a motorway, as some people will happily skip right across two lanes and they just won’t have seen you. For me the practice is indefensible in high speed situations. It costs nothing to just stop even for a few seconds and re-assess.

I very much disagree, i've watched the clip a couple of times (maybe one too many) and in my opinion the pick-up merging at such a high speed was the main cause of the issue. Obviously I can't say with complete certainty but I'm confident the pick-up was 100% aware of the lanes merging and it was pure impatience on his/her behalf. For sure, the actions taken by the cammer didn't help the situation but I would definitely say the pick-up was more at fault as they were. I would however have a very different view on the whole clip had the traffic been moving at a much slower speed.

3:10 I think the guy in the pick up was only just wrong. His merge was late but a second or too earlier i would think is fine. The viewer though is an idiot, People make mistakes sometimes (Not that the pickup made a mistake, it was clearly an attempt to try and get ahead and he did it in a dangerous way) but the people who for some reason think it is their job to try and police these guys with their vehicles just shows what kind of drivers they are.

Indeed. Not long ago I reversed out of my drive and (gently) bumped into another car parked adjacent to the junction of my road and a small cul-de-sac. I somehow missed it in my observations - hands up, that's down to me. I saw the car go past but hadn't appreciated it had then stopped in the seconds I checked all the other angles. One of things that got to me though was the fact that it was a driving school car and the instructor had stopped to wipe her passenger window. So, yes, I was more culpable but they, who (of anyone) should know better, contributed significantly and accepted no blame whatsoever. I am extra extra careful now and I hope they are too.

But as for the other clip at 1:59 if you do spot a potentially lethal situation like this developing, I think it's ok if you sound your horn. The dipstick doing the bad driving will think it's directed at him/her in anger but you're really warning other motorists around you of the danger. I may have saved a couple of accidents in my time by doing this, certainly pedestrians on crossings who weren't looking when cars from the other direction were hurtling towards the crossing.

Clip 13: The roadside worker was taking their duty of operating the manual Stop / Go board far to casually. A clue that there may still be oncoming traffic is that they didn't appear to check for traffic at all. Was there a second operator at the other end? If so, they didn't seem to be working in unison. Plus the operator at our end was multitasking with other duties and not really focused on traffic at all. Look also at the way they rushed back and forth between their other duties.
From the cam cars perspective, I would have stopped further back for a better view of what's ahead as well as a more gradual course over to the right when it's time to move again.
This also highlights the importance of always checking even when you get the green for go. Applies just as much to manual Stop / Go boards as with traffic lights.

You should only overtake if your way is clear and safe to do so. There have been 'Lane ending' signs in L2 for some distance, so the overtaker should have been aware of this. Even before the camera car increased speed, the gap between the two vehicles was insufficient for the overtaking vehicle to slot into without causing vehicles to change speed or direction, so the overtake was inappropriate.
As a _separate_ issue the camera car driver could have lessened the problem caused by the overtaking vehicle by slowing down rather than speeding up.

For the last clip, 100% the cammer should have been more patient. The truck had an opportunity to go, and he took it accordingly, except a truck takes a bit more time to get up to speed - drivers of both types of vehicles need to be aware of each others characteristics in certain situations.
From the truck's point of view, driving in a fast-paced urban environment is hard to keep up with, and delaying for a bigger gap would also delay traffic behind them, if it ever comes. All it takes is an extra second or two for the cars to let the truck get through appropriately.

In clip 10 the pick-up was late but was reasonably correct in merging at the arrow point, the deceleration was again reasonably and any faster slowing might have unstabilized the pick-up. But the viewers car was wholly wrong in closing the gap and made the situation both dangerous and difficult. The viewers car could so easily have controlled the safety of the situation by backing off to allow the pick-up both space and time to pull into lane 1 at both a safe distance from the car in front and crucially between the pick-up and the viewers car. If the pick-up driver had lost control due to joining such a small space in lane 1 with rapid deceleration the viewer would have caused an accident.
