Hitchhiking Through Vietnam to Surprise My French Girlfriend

- Just a few days ago, I had a crazy, romantic idea: to leave Da Nang, a city in Central Vietnam, and hitchhike to my girlfriend, who is now up north in Hanoi.
I’ll admit, it was hard to decide to take this trip, considering I hadn’t hitchhiked in a long time. Especially alone and over such long distances - I had to travel almost 800 kilometers.
Why hitchhiking? You won’t believe it, but simply for the sake of an adventure journey. The bus from Da Nang to Hanoi takes 13 hours and costs about 15 euros - not that expensive. It’s all about the desire to plunge into unpredictability. It may seem strange to some, but traveling by buses, trains, and planes is boring. There is no real exploration of the country and no socializing with the locals.
The main purpose of the trip was to surprise my French girlfriend who was staying in a hostel in Hanoi. But it would be boring to just take the bus to her place. No overcoming the odds! So this is my story of romantic travel I hope you will enjoy it!

Vietnam is not yet a rich country but is definitely one of the most beautiful on earth and its people is the friendliest and most generous one in the world as well . But many foreign slander-mongers for political reason always criticize and make negative comment on us . What a shame !
