I kind of agree with Barry Switzer. If you can't get 4th and inches, you don't deserve it. That would've been a back-breaker conversion, shortening the game even more, with a fresh set of downs. But I'm also a KC fan, and I know how uncertain they are about short yardage. They don't have a version of the Brady sneak or the "tush push" in Philly. Their best strategy is take the 3 points. But maybe they wanted to milk the clock and keep Baltimore's defense on the field as long as possible. With Omenihu out, the KC front 4 was looking pretty gassed at the end of the game. Karlaftis was grabbing his knees and panting between the whistle and the snap. Something I never noticed before, but it looked like Ravens offensive players were actually kicking Chris Jones in the shins as bodies were flying around in the box. I kept saying, this is by far the best defense mahommes ever had and yhe wr corps was just as good or better than last years when they won the SB. Only real difference was replaced juju with rice.... which come mid-season when rice was acclimated was an upgrade. The thing i dont get is it was kcs pass rush anf especially pass def that was elite. Teams attacked them with the run all year. Balts bread and butter was run game and play action. As I watched the game, I was surprised how much they(Ravens) were throwing the ball. Lamarr is certainly a capable passer, but it felt like an extreme amount. Especially considering it's raining a lot and the best thing the Chiefs defense does is defend the pass. They have two all world corners and love to blitz also have a unicorn on the D-line. Six rushes is just criminal. You should lose your offensive coordinator duties when you come up with a game plan like that. Felt like watching the Bills. Note the two teams in the SB are the two that have mastered the balance of the run game. In a year when defenses came up with a scheme(disguised rush) that greatly lowered scoring and passing, smart teams adjust. The two best coaches in the league play for it all. I don't think coaching is as impactful as people think, but this year it's hard to argue it wasn't a factor.

There was little information on the Ravens in tough situation facing an offensive team this year, next year there will be. The Ravens dominated the 2nd half in a very low scoring game, but not only tuned the ball over but on longs drives, 3 points scored the whole second half with a 63 and 74 drives when it meant something and 0 points and only 1 run in those 2 drives. It almost looked like Jackson was the option running game and he picked the pass option every time, Jackson had 54 yards and less than 100 total rushing yards, if you had that information the day before the game you would bet KC, it was maybe 40 yards below their rushing average.
😂😂😂 that was spags plan the whole time, that is why he blitzed a good amount and also had 6 guys in the box a lot, lamar saw that and figured he would pass bc of the numbers. Spags, Reid,, Chiefs were playing chess, ravens were playing checkers

They wanted to showcase that they could keep up with Patrick Mahomes throwing the ball. Outside of Tom Brady no one could keep up with that kid Baltimore should’ve play with their strength ran the ball they were even times were Lamar Jackson he should’ve scrambled but it seemed like he wanted to prove he was on the same level as Patrick Mahomes when it comes to throwing the ball. Mahomes was amazing those first two drives, and the ravens could never match the points
I hate to be that guy and point it out but it’s Willie Gay Jr that is our LB that was out. William Gay is someone else completely
i have never heard him referred to as "william gay"
Chiefs Defense is average BY DESIGN vs the run, because Mahomes.
People are not realizing this about Mahomes!!!!!
The long TD to Zay was fool's gold. They thought there was more of that to be had.
There could've been if Zay locked down and didn't get into his own head
That wasn’t a mistake! Andy Reid isn’t Dan Campbell. He goes for it WAY LESS than I’d like to see with Mahomes, Kelce, and Pacheco. Anybody who’s watched the Chiefs in recent years know we’ve been BEGGING for him to run the damn ball on 3rd/4th and 1!! They didn’t get it but that was the first one in a long while they haven’t converted. It wasn’t 4th & 5, that was the right call. Ravens just made a heck of a play! If anything you can critique the play call but I liked it l.
Ravens fans salty in the comments! Hey, the MJ of the NFL is doing his thing. Either get in line and take your lumps or switch to badminton!😂😂😂
You guys are 💯 right
they were almost in the redzone. early in the game, i didn't like the play call, but that was fine to go for it on fourth down. it should have been an rpo to the left with an option to Kelce running right to left.
Isiah Pacheco is ok, but he's not cerebral, he is no Marcus Allen. He may run hard, but he doesnt always run smart. and he was playing hurt.
The Reaper showed up, you cant blame Mr. Jackson. The metaphysical cant be stopped, the Ghost of Lamar Hunt. Its his trophy and it went home where it belongs.
EXCELLENT OBSERVATION. SPOT ON!
I told people about the Chiefs going to the Superbowl and winning it all in 2024🏆😂
Romo and nantz were so pro ravens it was embarrassing! Wish they'd go work for peacock so I wouldn't have to hear them again
Hey crows fans.
HOW BOUT THOSE CHIEFS!
SIX TOTAL RBs carries SIX. Like wtf were they thinking.
You expected them to run against an 8-man box??
@@Richard-mq7wf dude 6 runs for one game. Idc if they have 11 in the box that's ridiculous.
@@joshuadobbs3104 don't try to become an offensive coordinator
@@Richard-mq7wf right back at yah bro
I feel like the Ravens bought too much into their own hype. They want to be hard. They want to bully. They forgot it’s just a football game between millionaires.
I live and work in Baltimore, but not a Ravens fan. I said the same thing Simms is, 'Baltimore wanted to showcase Lamar's arm and say, 'see, he can throw it, too!''
You expected Baltimore to run against an 8-man box??
@@Richard-mq7wf As a ravens fan the thing I envy about San Francisco is even when there’s an eight man box they will still run the ball unless it’s do or die and they’re down by more than a touchdown with five minutes left in the game. The Chiefs had the worst run defense in the playoffs maybe even in the league you’re going to have to show me that you can stop the run Baltimore ran the ball 11 whole times yesterday John Harbaugh Todd Muncan and Lamar Jackson got in the way of that. Fuck what the critics think play your game and part of Lamar ‘s Jackson game is using his legs which he did not utilize yesterday, yesterday wasn’t about trying to prove the critics wrong or doing something you weren’t good at it was just about winning the damn game that was it.
Yes, I expected an NFL team to not cut off one of their arms.@@Richard-mq7wf
Dynasty.
07:40 the ravens deserved to lose as much i hate to admit it! Why pass 82% of the time in the last 30 mins of the game????
Damn Florio is gonna be on a Mahomes slurping spree for the next 2 weeks non stop
Throwing the ball isn't what Lamar and the Ravens did all year though Chris
Agree Chris who was this team. Ravens need to stick to what the defense gives you
Damn florio, why are you yelling!!!!
Dead on Chris!! 💯
Agreed 😳
the ravens lost the game when justice hill started over bus and they did the same thing in the titans game 2019 its infuriating
Florio talking about the nuances of playing QB or any position in sports is unqualified drivel.
Pat is learning how to play QB
I've been saying it for years, ever since Lamar Jackson had three turnovers in a playoff game. He's nothing but a great big choker. But no one would listen.
The reason the Chiefs won is obvious: Taylor Swift. 😂
Lamar Jackson played terrible but its never his fault 😂
If Shanahan loses to Mahomes again in a super Bowl. He should resign
Out Baltimored Baltimore in... Baltimore 😱
The referees also played a big part in the Chiefs win. 3 obvious pass interference calls that should have been called. We need full time referees or have the booth in NY make the call. Not a Ravens fan, but calling out what I’ve seen as a football fan. Maybe T Swift attending the SB made the referees favor the Chiefs because of the $$$$$. Integrity of the game as many think NFL is rigged.
The end zone pass wasn't catchable though.
@@edgregory1 don’t matter, at least an illegal contact call should have been made. You don’t grab a wide receiver while the football is in the air.
There are missed calls in every game, for both teams, but the timing/situation...
Tbh Lamar lost to the next coming of Brady ravens blew out lions and 49ers by a combined score of like 50+ mahomes clearly clears every other QB by miles but Lamar and ravens still 2nd best QB and 2nd best team imo… Lamar will improve Todd monken neglected the run from the very beginning like ravens weren’t the best running team in the Lg smh 2 missed PIs on chiefs one was that pick but doesn’t really matter ravens beat themselves bad
Spags shut down the running game for the Ravens at the beginning of the game to force Lamar to throw.
@@markb3786 that sounds good but the best rushing team in football gave their RBs 6 carries 😂😂 that’s just laughable signed dalvin cook and he didn’t sniff the field just gave em free money. Spag and that defense definitely balled out tho no question
Did u actually watch the game? Lamar played his worst game in the biggest game of his career at home as the 1 seed, he had a way better receiving core than Mahomes and couldn’t throw the ball accurately or sense the pressure…
@@drdesai97 he had more pass yrds than Mahomes led his team in rushing and had à reception he coulda played better but he can’t block and coach too I said mahomes is the best QB by miles so idk what ur getting at
Why bring pass yard stats and compare them to Mahomes, Mahomes made plays when it mattered, Lamar didn't plain and simple, Dak had over 400 yards and 3 tds against the Packers but Love clearly outplayed him with lesser stats...
Hes not Tom Brady and he'l never be.......if he's a better runner than anyone has ever been at the quarterback position use that when neccessary and get a superbowl instead of trying to morph into something your not to outduel patrick mahomes.....all that being said the defensive holding went unchecked ....that will make any Defensive coordinator look great......boy that Dalvin Cook signing was a great move .......they really used him alot......great point florio about monken going into la la land in the biggest moment......
All Ravens had to do is run run run. Lamar run but nope. We didn't want to win. Well famous word. Maybe next year. 😂
Yes, T A K E the P O I N T S !
I think Lamar OC, his QB coach were trying to get Lamar to throw down the field and show mahomes he is better and he couldnt hang with mahomes because lamar sucks . They never gave up on him throwing cause they abandoned the run and im telling you , they thought without running ball , lamar will hang with mahomes thru the air and it was a narrative all day to prove to the world that lamar is better than Mahomes and he threw into triple coverage and the team had a meltdown and harbagh should be firing somebody. Cause 6 rushes and avg 4 yds a carry and stopped running..
Kyle Hamilton 💪🏿
Chiefs will be better next season 😅
how bout those CHIEFSsssssss....!!..
I wish Monkin gets a Head coaching job, because he loses his grasp on reality. I been seeing this crap all year, why why andWHY!!!!!!!! I know one thing I will never trust Lamar never never NEVER!!!!$&_=÷4*^%
These two are hilarious. The chiefs left their egos at the door? It was a one touchdown game calm down lol
Hard to beat the Kansas when u have an overpaid little better than avg qb😢.
And you've been a Kansas City fan for how long? Those type of comments just shout out neophyte. There isn't any real analysis being done here, everyone not named Berman and McFarlane just pushing the same narrative. Simms touched on it towards the end but started with a whole bunch of fluff early. Aside from not turning the ball over the (which shouldn't be understated*), what exactly did Mahomes and the Kansas City offense do in the second half (68yds)? The Ravens weren't better ON SUNDAY, but don't be an idiot and call Jackson an "overpaid little better than avg qb" - those category of players don't win two(2) NFL MVP trophies...
Florio is a documented liar on PFT. He is disgusting and his sidekick is a failed QB who could not succeed and had little actual talent.
Both make more than you can ever dream of.
@@drm2364WHO CARES, THEY NOT WORTH IT, DOING A JOB READING TELEPROMPTER, MAKING PATHETIC PREDICTIONS 🤣
Ravens choke so bad thanks to their trash quarterback
Ravens are a paltry imitation of themselves from 2000. Perhaps Hairball needs to get fired like his brother - and re-evaluate his approach. Andy Reid has his number.
Yea Chiefs won.... But ravens passing the ball 82% of the time is horrible.... RBs had 6 carries between the both of them.... Ravens was not the ravens at all for what ever reason
