Thank you for another amazing video. You are so respectful of yhe places you visit and have such interest in meeting local people. If only most people could be like you. Enjoy your travels.
You’re doing an amazing job showcasing the true beauty of Uzbekistan, and I couldn’t help but subscribe to your channel. Your videos not only capture the heart of this country but also inspire others to see its richness. I’m so proud of what you’re sharing, and I make sure to share your videos everywhere because they deserve to be seen by everyone.
To answer your question "Am I an idiot", No - we don't know what we don't know, until we do.... Great to have your 'original' style of travel vlog back, I'm loving it. Booked to do the same route as you next April, so perhaps mention my name around abit.... ;)
Bitter melon, I grew up eating it in the Philippines. Fruit and leaves, acquired taste. When I was all over Thailand, they serve raw, cut up with various dishes and sauces. Same in Vietnam but also served in soups. One of my favorite ways to make is a bitter melon omelette 😋
Well, Jason, you pushed me over the edge 😂 I had been curious about the “Stan” countries for a while, but after seeing your videos I went ahead and booked a trip with G Adventure for next summer that includes 4 of them. Got a good deal on the tour, but airfare from the US is hideously expensive. I’m really looking toward to more of your videos from the region.

Thanks! Great video about Tashkent! 👍Very beautiful city! Can't believe that scammer tried to get money from you to enter the mosque, that's totally unacceptable. If you plan to visit Almaty, Kazakhstan, let me know, I can show you around!
I am from Uzbekiston. We speak Uzbek language but We don't speak Russia. Welcome to Our country. I am proud that you showed me the beautiful places of my country❤
Thank you for the great video! I just have one comment regarding the mention of English and Russian languages. Uzbekistan is not an English-speaking country, so remarks about locals not speaking English or the lack of English signs might come across as a bit dismissive. While English is a widely spoken global language, it’s always valuable to embrace the local language and culture when traveling. Additionally, Russian is not the primary or official language of Uzbekistan-our national and primary language is Uzbek (one of Turkic languages). Just something to keep in mind for future travels!
I'm glad you were aware of his scheme, mosques are always free to enter (some may not allow non-muslims) but entry fee? lol first time hearing about it
TBH I also tried that khonim once when we visited that food market with my parents. I watch every tourist try it when they are there. i heard also most locals love that food. Az a citizen of Uzbekistan i would say that khonim is overhyped and not worth it`s name. And it is way more expensive than normal better version of homemade khonim
Very disrespectful from your side to always recommend or mention russian. UZBEK is the national language of Uzbekistan and many uzbeks especially outside of Tashkent do not speak good russian anymore after russian colonial times. Why don't you recommend people to buy Uzbek English phrasebook that is widely available in Uzbekistan? Even the sign that you mentioned in Cyrillic is in older variant of Uzbek from soviet times. Russians are only 3% of population of Uzbekistan so for russian language pls go to ruzzia

The reason that you are responded in Russian is that most people think that people from all pver the world speak or at leat understand Russian but not Uzbek. So they try to speak Russian even though they only have great skill for greeting in Russian but communication😅
Actually, Karimov and his family destroyed Amir Timur Square. There used to be a shady park there. But they cut down all the century-old plane trees and made a wasteland there. That's why the trees there are so young and small.
why you r referring to russian we speak uzbek and especially in Hasti imam area mostly people speak Uzbek rather than Russian. Russian is not our maternal language. Please do not use or refer to russian as main language of communication in Uzbekistan but there strange things uzbeks when they don’t know English they start speaking to foreigners in russian even when foreigners doesn’t speak russian 😂
I don't know whether you are creating fake story here that man asked you money for entering masjeed (not mosque for us), but except Touristic Samarcand Registan or other touristic attractions nobody in Uzbekistan asks you money. Don't please bring here false informations
