After some struggeling with settings both solutions work out fine finally. I prefer Voice-in because it's faster. I combine it with "spellboy.com" , a German website (for free!) like "grammarly", which is a pretty good combination.

Is there a way for the microphone to pick up the actual sound of the audio and for the editor to directly dictate the audio rather than you listening to it and speaking it back.

I believe it is against QA world policy to download the files on your computer. So that is why this option allows you to simply repeat what you hear, so speechnotes is transcribing you repeating what the file says. The video will show you what I mean.

The copy and paste feature does if you transcribe speech to text directly into the speechnotes website then copy and paste over to Rev. The extension also works to transcribe directly into the dashboard but it is a little slow in Rev. It works better in the other platforms especially TranscribeMe, QA World, Crowdsurf, Scribie, etc.
Jennifer you're the best. I used to use otter.ai for some of my files but it's recently stopped the free 600 minutes you get for importing a file. I guess this is the next best option now. Thank you loads for this.
@@JenniferMarieVO That was just last week. You're now only allowed 3 imports and that's it. You can still get the free minutes but I believe that is for just speech to text and not audio to text or you upgrade to their premium account to be able to import files.

I had some guy get super angry on my otter tutorial a few days ago saying I was lying to viewers and not telling them it was only 3 imports, so I had no idea what he was talking about since it's always been free. I'm going to try to find an alternative to otter.
@@JenniferMarieVO I know it's quite frustrating, seeing that it's been my go to for over 6 months now in transcribing some difficult and heavy accented files. I've been trying to find an alternative but nothing as free as otter.ai was, but if anyone can find some alternative, I trust you can. Keep up the good work.👍💓

I tried with stereo mix (no microphone) and it gets you cool but you speak cool also :). Let's try some blurry tracks. Good info Jen!!
