Thanks for doing this Dan, such a great book and Chris is such a dedicated and passionate guy as well, so many reasons why this is just such a great video!! For those interested, I actually got to sit down with Chris as well, which I'll be posting up to my channel this Wednesday, he gives an insider's look into some really early TMNT history, we dive into a whole bunch of the unreleased conceptual characters, share thoughts on the modern lines, as well as cast some predictions for what the very bright (despite gritty) TMNT future holds. I think folks who loved Dan's video with Chris (which, how could you not? So much fun stuff covered here) will also really enjoy what Chris and I have to say in the upcoming video as well, and obviously, if you haven't already checked out his incredible book over at the currently running Kickstarter, you should run there now and show it the love it deserves, so, soooo good!
holly crap I really like the idea of the ooze being this living alien gives off a whole new vibe concerning the nature of all the other mutants we see throughout the cartoons and comics the idea of a plot revelation revealing that ooze was an extraterrestrial bio-invasion meant to repopulate earth sounds like an awesome story.
Pledge completed! Also shared it on my Facebook and in my TMNT toy group on Facebook. Good luck!! I had no idea this book existed or I would already have it!
Great interview! I picked up the book, I just haven't had time to read it yet. It's in a stack with your book Dan, And three other art books. Time to get reading...
Pledging on the Kickstarter, this will be great with the TMNT Artobiography book. What’s the encyclopedia of turtle figures book he references at the beginning though?
What a fantastic interview and Chris is an absolute gentleman. Nice job Dan. I loved that ET Don. All the best with continued success with YOUR book too Dan.
Some great stories in here! It's amazing how much stuff get forgot along the way and has to be dig few decades later. Same about video games history (even worse with games that keeps being updated).
I am always interested in concept art, the process of action figure creation, prototypes. I absolutly love the Power and Honor foundation catalog for MOTU. This kind of sounds like that then? Does the playmate TMNT toyline have an equivalent to He-Ro and Eldor?
When he mentions the encyclopedia of turtle figures book, is he thinking of the kickstarter one that never got released when the creator dissapeared with the cash?
@@danielprosser7834 I can't seem to find the link to it. It was out of print at this point, but the guy was taking emails to let people know if he reprinted it.
@@radplastic-tmnttoys6537 Thanks anyway. I've been hoping for a good quality TMNT Toy Encyclopedia for years now. I'm sort of hoping that Dan's MoTU book was sucessful enough to make him do a TMNT one
I'm gonna try and back this Kickstarter, but have to wait until nearer the end of the month until payday. Gutted I missed the book first time round. Great interview and really interesting seeing the actual pitch turtle and tooled Dr Quease figure.
This is awesome, but does it really cost 30,000 to just reprint a book that's already finished? That the only thing that threw me off..the price goal. That's 60 dollars a book.
@@radplastic-tmnttoys6537 thanks for taking the time to clarify. I'm sorry if it seemed like negative nancy, I was just honestly curious about the goal #. Wish you well in your kickstarter!
Pixel Dan is back with the TMNT stuff…
Let’s gooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!
Cowabunga! You’re doing TMNT stuff again!
Shell yeah, this is great!
Had to pause this video and went directly to kickstarter. Thank god (in this case chris!) that he could send to Sweden! :)

Nice, every tmnt fan needs this book! :-D
100% And looks like there will be extra content if the stretch goals are met, which has be on pins and needles, so excited for this!

Thank you Danarchy!
I wanted a copy of Rad Plastic. Glad to see it has returned. I backed the kickstarter 😁
Yep, I got one of the 1000:) Great book, I definitely enjoyed reading it. Lots of MOTU connections that were involved in TMNT's genesis, as well.
What a fantastic interview and Chris is an absolute gentleman. Nice job Dan. I loved that ET Don. All the best with continued success with YOUR book too Dan.
Thank you!
Pledged for our copy! Cowabunga!
I already own this book and love it!
it's amazing! And it sounds like there will be additional material too in the stretch goals, which is super exciting!

No there was another one released last year. Smaller softcover.
@@radplastic-tmnttoys6537 Wow really?!? Do you know the title by any chance?

Lovely Pixel Dan interview
Awesome interview!

The way kick starter works they don’t charge you until the end of the campaign. So you can go ahead and back it now!
Noob
Wow I wasn’t expecting this..! This was great keep up the good work!!
Just backed the Kickstarter
Really cool interview ✅✅
Super interesting stuff. This book sounds awesome
How can i buy this book???
Go to the Kickstarter campaign. Dan posted the link.
I pledged, so hopefully this video helps so we can get that 2nd printing.
I want Hasbro to do a transforming Party Wagon for their Collaborative line.
Didn't I see this interview on Ed's Retro Geek Out a few months ago
Yes. I did an interview there and with a couple other youtubers as well!
Love you, pixel dan
Will this come to uk? And dan can you please ask super 7 chances of getting the universal monsters tmnt in either six inch classic or reaction please?
Yes it’ll ship to the UK from Kickstarter.
@@radplastic-tmnttoys6537 following on from this question, will it be available in Ireland, or will we have to order it from the UK?
It’s available in Ireland. Just check the Kickstarter for all the countries I ship to.
I'd quite like to see a review of the book...
There are several reviews on You Tube. Do a search for Rad Plastic and you'll find them.
Cool! Awesome stuff! Thanks and God Bless! 🙂😀❤️🙏✝️👍🏻
Sweet!
I hope super 7 rerelease the glow Baxter stockman.
Its the 80s all over again thank god

It’s not about the money, it about the minimum order. I have to order 500 books at a minimum. So at $60 a book, that’s $30k.
